10/11 for Ebbsfleet?

I went to Lewes v Crawley,as a neutral living in between both, and have to say i cannot see when or how Lewes will gain their next point! Crawley comfortably won 3/0 . Lewes looked absolutely clueless tbh, though with the squad being assembled from scratch in the summer it may take time. Since then, they have conceded 4(home to Salisbury) and 2 today(at Weymouth). Ebbsfleet were good value at Plainmoor, and thrashed Stevenage 4/0 earlier today. Granted Cullip is finally playing for Lewes, but i was expecting around 4/7 for the away win.

Agree with Bobby on the Ebbsfleet pick; it does look a decent pick but especially so at the price. However, Wrexham at 6/5 to win at Alty is an even better bet. We played well against Oxford and seem to be enjoying ourselves now, having come out of our first four fixtures (all against teams at the top of the pre season book) with two wins, a draw and one poor performance. Alty have just been thumped by Kiddy and we should cope comfortably.
at bigger prices I am taken with
Crawley to win at Stevenage. I cannot believe how bad Stevenage are and Crawley have looked reasonably solid so far. 3/1 is value.
Next, Barrow at York. Not as bullish on them this time but I would be looking at laying York here or back Barrow DNB. As I said yesterday...bookies will continue to underestimate Barrow at the moment and this is a value bet as York have looked pretty decent...so decent, in fact,
that I fancy them to get at least a point at Torquay, who are struggling a bit at the moment and looked shocking against Ebbsfleet when last on Setanta. Booed off then, they have just shipped 3 at Crawley and, with the crowd likely to turn on them if things don't start well, York DNB is the pick.

Now...off to L2 to see who is going to thump Chester next!

What are Stevenage doing at 5/6? :O

Conceded 13 goals in the first four games, including 4-0 and 5-0 thrashings. Crawley with a decent 3-1 win over Torquay and 3-0 win over Lewes 2 weeks ago.

Would take Crawley at 3/1 anyday. The overs looks pretty tastey aswell with 7/8 h2h's finishing over and Stevenage conceding for fun,

Altrincham v Wrexham
Having seen Wrexham a couple of times this season it looks as though Littles got them well drilled for the season and I think they are a solid bet here. They havent won away from the racecourse yet but this is there best chance having already played 2 of the more fancied teams in York and Rushden away. I was on Kiddy against Alty and I shall be backing against them again.

Oxford v Woking
Saw Oxford away at Wrexham and although they got beat 2-0 I was quite impressed considering they went down to 10 men early on for the second time this season. Had it not been for good keeping and bad finishing they could easily have nicked a draw. The odds arent great but this is a good game for them to get back on track.

Lewes v Ebbsfleet
A bit of a no brainer here really. Lewes just dont look good enough having easily been beaten in the last 3. Ebbsfleet on the otherhand after a difficult first 2 games have come storming back winning the last 2 scoring 6 conceding 0.

Also got to agree with sloppyj about Crawley. Saw Stevenage at Wrexham and I thought they were very average, they seem to have really gone down hill since Stimson left them. 3/1 looks good value or even the DNB at 2/1.

Wrexham, Ebbsfleet, Mansfield, Oxford & Cambridge all look picks to me.

Very impressed with Cambridge on saturday at Eastbourne, very clinical in front of goal & the two wide men certainly have white lines on their boots...cant see them slipping up at home.. Agree with Bobbyhead about Lewes, i also cant see where the next points are coming from and they are now 1-8 on finnishing bottom..... so Ebbsfleet is a no-brainer as someone else said.. Not sure on the Grays / Eastbourne game as this is the type of match Boro are likely to dig in & pick up a point or three, so i'll leave this one...I'm also going to take Bartonbanks advice on Wrexham...

Cambridge
Ebbsfleet
Wrexham
A meduim treble for me here

Rushden & Diamonds vs Histon

Leon Knight has just signed for R&D and is available for today's game. This guy is a great striker, who should be playing at League one easily if not higher.

The only problem is his attitude, he's a bit of big time charlie, hence the reason he's fallen out with every manager he's had.

He has ths skills , i've seen him score two goals to knock my team Brentford out of the League one play-off Semis a few years ago......The only thing keeping him down is his attitude.

This guy at 25years should be scoring goals for fun at this level, in my opinon. And given that Histon gave up 3 goals on the weekend i think he might get a goal or two against them today.

It might be worth looking at Betfair's

R&D to win @ 1.85

over 2.5 goals @ 1.85

You can get a Draw or Crawley with Stan James @ 4/5

Cracking value if you ask me.

Like already stated above the double that jumps out at me is Wrexham and Ebbsfleet.
I would be slightly wary of backing Crawley away simply for the fact that Stevenage surely can’t get any worse. I presume their priority today will be a clean sheet after shipping 13 goals already this season. I'm tempted to throw Oxford in for the treble simply for the fact that they are playing a Woking team lacking in leadership and confidence.

Cambridge – Think we may tinker with the team slightly today simply to give some weary legs a rest. Young flying winger Willmott might be rested but he will be replaced by another speedster in Chris Jones, a Welsh U19 on loan from Swansea. He looks to have real quality about him. Up top new striker and another pocket rocket Holyrod may replace either McEvily or Beesley who have both given nothing less then 110% in our first 4 games. Holyrod scored 5 minutes into his debut at Eastbourne so will be chomping at the bit to impress in front of the home fans and the tv cameras. With Brabin looking to use pace to unsettle defences I would like to think we will have enough about us to see off Kettering. Technically we should have the strength in depth to see off teams like the Poppies but it’s not going to be easy and it’s games like this we must wins if we are to get back in to the football league. It is something of a local derby and they will be fielding a couple of ex U’s in Jasczun and Westcarr, neither of which would get anywhere near our current squad but will probably be fired up against their old employers.

although Oxford are looking bad from their results and league position but they are well worth looking at. They have actually played pretty well but have had players sent off in both away games which has cost them dear.

They were also pretty decent at home to Weymouth eventough they lost, it sounds crazy but it was just one of those days when the ball just wouldnt go in.

im going 5 fold Ebbs, Cambridge, Oxford, R & D, Mansfield.

Yep, bad start before even getting out of bed! I'm relying on Ebsfleet ht/ft to get me back on track (with a draw/Ebs lifeline...) for reasons as previously stated in the thread.
