Macclesfield - Bristol
Bristol looks better in the table. Performed better away than Macclesfield at home. Bristol or Draw looks like a fine bet here...

any suggestions?

Macclesfield v Bristol Rovers

Macclesfield boss Paul Ince will pick from an unchanged squad for what he has described as a "must-win" match. Defenders Jimmy McNulty (broken leg) and Danny Swailes (ankle) are still a week away from a first-team return.
Bristol Rovers will give fitness tests to defender Byron Anthony (dead leg) and striker Rickie Lambert (ankle).
Stuart Nicholson is back from receiving treatment for a hernia so could come in for Lambert, but Aaron Lescott (banned) and Craig Hinton (groin) are out.
Can´t understand why Ince name that match "must-win-match" ???

Macclesfield are only two points above relegation zone and need a win to ease relegation worries.

Personally I would think their match on Saturday is more a must win...level on points with Accy and away to them. A win or draw tonight will certainly help them but the weekend is more important. A win at the weekend means their survival will be in their hands. Secretly he will be happy with a point.
I also think the other match may end in a draw. Wrexham outside the drop zone on goal difference, will want to put some daylight between themselves and Boston but, with a winner take all matchup on the last weekend, will not want to risk too much. It is more a must win game for Rovers, who are chasing the playoffs but are dependent on others to slip up. Unfortunately for Rovers they are poor in front of goal at the moment.

A win would guarantee Shrewsbury a playoff place but, more likely, a point would mean they would have to lose both remaining matches, and either Posh or Bristol Rovers win both theirs, OR Stockport (in freefall) get a point in their last two games to blow it.

I fancy a draw in both

Shrewsbury (6th) v. Wrexham (22nd): Home Win

A win for Shrewsbury tonight will see them secure a play off place.

Their home record this season in the league has been W11 D6 L4 F36 A20 altough their form over the last 6 games has been patchy with 2 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats.

Wrexham had an important win 1-0 at home against relegated Torquay on Saturday but their away form this season is one of the main reasons i am going for a home win tonight, on the road Wrexham are W4 D4 L13 F19 A43 and their survival chances look to depend on how they perform in their remaining home game against Boston on the last day of the season.

Good luck all

Word of caution if just using the away record.

3 of those away wins have come in the last 5 away games

Absolutely agree with you on a draw in both, but absolutely don't agree the saturday match is a must win for Macclesfield. Accrington at home is very strong and playing really hard and I expect Accy to beat Macclesfield on saturday.. . It's in fact one of my early weekend bets!

SportFootball (Eng - League 2)
EventShrewsbury x Wrexham
SelectionShrewsbury

Bookmaker/PriceBetdaq @ 2.04 (Back)
ReasoningThe Wrexham is in a delicate position remaining 3 games for the team is is of relegation zone only for sattle of matter question. The team is one of the worse ones when it plays far of its house with apeas 4 victories in 21 disputed games, and today against the Shrewsbury trying to consolidate its classification I find difficult to obtain to the little one draw here. In the H2H the Shrewsbury takes a good advantage and waits a victory here home

Despite a poor away record, 3 of those four away wins have come since the start of last month. We have also kept 4 clean sheets in the last six games. Fancy Shrewsbury if you want, Clow, but I do dispute it is a 10/10 strength bet.
As far as H2H is concerned, Shrewsbury have won the last 3 but, prior to that, had not won since 1994. The H2H are now all square, with 16 wins each and 9 draws.
I would wish you luck with your pick...but as I support Wrexham you will understand why I can't!!

I frequently get confused trying to work out the promotion/relegation possibilities at the end of the season, so I may be wrong - but I think Shrewsbury could still finish 8th even if they win tonight. That's if Bristol R win all remaning games and Stockport and Lincoln don't mess up.

Not that this makes the slightest difference to how I read the odds. I still fancy a couple of quid on 8 sendings off and a trail of damage to pubs in the town.

It never ceases to amaze me how many of these games between top five and bottom five go the wrong way. Shrewsbury controlled the ball early, then did absolutely nothing in the second half and couldn't even get a shot on goal to even have a shot at one point on the night. Unreal.
