Oldham @ 2.5 must be pick of the day in league 1 tomorrow.

Oldham are on a tremendous run and Chris Porter is scoring goals for fun, On the other hand my Forest team are beginning to throw the towel in at an important part of the season. We struggled to come to terms with Tranmere on Saturday as there long ball game we just couldn't cope with. We created fairly little and looked unorganised and all over the place. The main reason for this was due to the injury to Kris Commons after about 20 minutes the midfield creative player out tomorrow with a hamstring strain. A Forest side travel to Oldham short of confidence and short of ideas and I can only really see what outcome an Oldham victory. We have lack of midfield and Tyson can't score goals on his own. Nicky Southall looked too slow to be playing and forest are carrying to many players at the moment. Hopefully defeat to Oldham will make the board realise that money needs to be available in January if Forest are to go up. Olham @ 2.5 looks a very high price against a disjointed Forest side

Concur with Oldham. Higher Rateform rating- Highe Caveloman r Power Penetration figure.Plus my analysis based on goal scored against poisson distriibution all suggest the true odds are around 2.1 consequently 2.5 look just too high.

Scuntorpe @2.75 also look overpriced based on total form and current form with a Rateform advantage of more then 700 points It should also be noted that scuntorpe have won over 50% of their away games and have only lost 3 from 12 away so far this season. the more conservative punter may decide to lay Port Vale.

Doncaster @1.94 is worth a small interest. Donny have a much better Power penetration figure and Rateform figure. But when we compare both teams last 10 matches there is no comparsion between the 2 teams. Doncaster 6-2-2-13-6 against huddersfield's 1-5-4-6-16. Caution required to small degree with both teams showing a strong propensity towards draws.

I believe this is Doncasters first game in their brand spanking new stadium. They certainly left Belle Vue well with the win against Forest. Not sure how they will react to being at the new stadium, sides who move sometimes have flying starts and sometimes struggle. It should have a bit of a big atmosphere around it, its very hard to call this one though because of the stadium switch. At Belle Vue I would back Doncaster, the move concerns me enough to leave it alone. It could be 3-0 or 0-1 really.

Forest look to be on a downward spiral at the moment and the manager Calderwood does not seem to know his best starting 11.

Oldham look to be bankers

Gotta agree with you all on Oldham, superb home side this season, in superb form, Forest struggling, the price is far too good on them to miss if you ask me.

Yeovil look a good bet at home to Northampton. Yeovil have won 3 of the last 4, good wins at Crewe and Brighton. Northampton were losing at home to Millwall last time out, got thumped at Oldham and fell at home to Orient. Northampton look like a side that will be fighting the drop for the rest of the season, Yeovil will be there or thereabouts with the playoffs. Yeovil have Marcus Stewart available again, while Northampton strike McGleish looks like missing the game.

These are my picks, my picks are based on observing recent reams form, trends (from what I've seen live on TV, results) and following the tables for the few last weeks. Also no suspensions/inujries considered...
What do you think? THanks!

1. Chesterfield - Blackpool
2. Yeovil
- Northampton
3. Oldham - Nottingham Forrest
4. Portvale - Scunthorpe

I would add in Millwall to beat the Gills. Millwall on a decent run of form at present and seem decent value for a home win

Match: Chesterfield - Blackpool
Pick: Blackpool 0
Odds: 1.877 @ 10bet
Stakes: 8/10

Analysis: The handicap offered here is too good to resist for me. Blackpool is one of the better; more resilient sides in the league and in my opinion are able to give the leaders a good run for their money come season end. After starting off the season very poorly, they have strung together a good run and are now in 5th spot looking good to climb up further. Against Chesterfield, they know the points are there to be had and in terms of form and quality, Blackpool wins this hands down in my books. Blackpool should once again spot little if no changes to their winning lineup. If there ever was going to be one winner here, it ought to be Blackpool by the look of things hence the handicap is favorable.

I'm undecided about taking 1 of this two selections ; Blackpool X2 or Swansea

Chesterfield vs. Blackpool
Blackpool is in great form now.. They won 5 of their last 6 matches. Chesterfield is opposite of Blackpool.. They lost 3 of their 4 matches..

Stats're showing Blackpool'll take one point at least..

Swansea vs. Brentford
Brentford lost last 6 away matches with not to score one goal.. They're really in poor form which lost 8 of their last 10 matches.. Swansea want to be in play-off spot and they're better team than Brentford..

I'm close selection of Blackpool.. Why? Because This POOR Brentford won last match against Chesterfield..

What's ur advice?

Sorry its kind of close to kick off, but Swansea -1.0 on the AH on betfair is available at 2.05, there looks to be a lot more value in that than taking them just to win which is sitting just over 1.5. Swansea are a strong side, Brentford are poor travellers. And Swansea do have plenty of goals in them.

Cheltenham v Crewe

I like Cheltenham on level ball for today. Crewe were doing awful lately with traditionally poor performance at the back. There is no big difference between two sides at the moment and in games like this anything could happen, especially when crazy side like Alex is involved, but their road record this season is one of the worst in the league and I really cant see them winning this one.

Cheltenham are not a force neither, but they are simply in better shape at the moment and I think they have a chance to take valuable points in this one.

Cheltenham(0) @1.84 pinnacle 6/10

Bookmaker/PriceBetfair @ 2.46 (Back)
ReasoningSplendid chance for Cheltenham to pick up a rare win as Crewe is in really bad shape at the moment. Cheltenham have collected most of their points at home (5-1-6) and have recently picked up 7 points in their last 3 home matches. The draw was against Bristol City. Meanwhile Crewe is winless in their last 6 and have losses in 4 of their last 5 overall. Crewe is particulary poor away as they are 2-2-7. Striker Damian Spencer will play today for Cheltenham despite the red card in his last game. The referee's decision is being appealed and so for the time being he will be on the pitch.
