| We have never in our history won at Griffin Park. Thats 19 games, of which 10 have been draws. Take away the first very 5 games between the two at Brentford and that record for latics reads. Played 15. Won 0. Drawn 10. Lost 5! We drew only a few weeks ago at Griffin Park 3-3, we were 3-1 up then conceded a last minute equaliser. We also met in the FA Cup in 1998. We drew the first game at BP 1-1, in the replay, which was also on sky. We drew 2-2, eventually winning on Penalties. After today. I'd probably say Brentford will win. Attacking, we are probably one of the best in the league at the minute. In the 2nd half we absolutely battered Swindon. 1st half though and defensively, bar Guy Branston. We are very poor without, Haining or Steffan Stam alongside him. Both goals against us today once again came from set peices, the penalty which was initially saved should have been cleared but our defence was to slow. Luke Beckett should start on Tuesday instead of Chris Porter. Porter scored 3 at Griffin Park a few weeks ago but Beckett played superb when he came on. He changed the game! We have also gone unbeaten in 6. The draw looks a half decent bet if anything. |

| Might have a small punt on Northampton to see off Stevenage. Both sides are on form. Northampton have only lost once in their last 12 but have picked up quite a few draws on the way. As for Stevenage they've won 5 drawn one and lost 2 of their last 8 matches so I don't think this one will be clear cut but with home advantage and being in a higher division I'm going for Northampton to progress through to the next round. |

| i think woking can beat Northwich away, they took them apart at kingfield last week but northwich defended well. The NV players celebrated at the final whistle which wound up the woking boys. A 4-0 win away on saturday was just the tonic going into this fixture. A dream draw away at Sunderland awaits the winners of course. Odds of 7/4 look very appealing.

| Brentford Oldham I fancy a few goals in this one. Oldham averaging 3.5 goals per game away whilst Brentford 2.8 at home. As already mentioned this fixture served up a 3-3 in the league. A lot of the bookies haven't opened the spread markets on the game yet but as its live on sky they should be offering them later Over 2.5 Corners might be worth a look as well as Brentford have had more than anyone else in the league |

| Having drawn away in the first game and then beaten them away in the league last tuesday, I fancy Oxfords chances at home to Cheltenham tonight. There should also be goals, since returning to 442 oxford have started scoring again but also started conceding again, especially from set plays. Hackett returns.

| first post in a while, however i'm interested in tonights game between bristol rovers and port vale. rovers have won there last three league games (home to barnet, away at stockport, and a very good win away at grimsby) while vale have lost there last two, (away at forest and 3 0 at gillingham). rovers are set to name an unchanged side for the fifth game running while vale are missing tony dinning and chris birchall is also doubtfall along with five other players.vale scored a 86 minute leveller in the first match at vale park so with home advantage i fancy rovers to win, the 6/4 is not that great a price so i'm only playing to small stakes. anyone with any input would be welcome |

| well bensonseven, if they could beat Grimsby few days ago, they could do the same against possibly weakened Vale squad. Bet365 already slashed price for a home win a bit ![]()

| Anyone any info about the Swansea v Peterboro match. Have Swansea a full strength team out tonight? Going by League tables alone you'd have to fancy them however, I've been caught out with this cup before. |

| Its your lucky day, mate. I too think we'll lose tonight (but when I do we normally win );Taken from BBC Radio St*ke 13th December - Bristol Rovers v Port Vale FA Cup round 2 replay Port Vale will be without skipper Tony Dinning as they bid to reach the third round of the FA Cup against Bristol Rovers. Dinning was sent off in Vale's 3-0 League One defeat at Gillingham on Saturday and must sit out their next two matches. Trinidad & Tobago international Chris Birchall missed the game at Priestfield with a bruised foot and is doubtful. Vale's lengthy injury list also includes Robin Hulbert, Michael Walsh, Michael Cummins, Hector Sam and George Abbey although boss Martin Foyle will give them until the 11th hour to prove their fitness. and from the Evening Sentinel 09:30 - 13 December 2005 George Pilkington will captain Port Vale in tonight's crucial FA Cup second-round replay at Bristol Rovers. With regular skipper Tony Dinning suspended for two matches after his red card at Gillingham at the weekend, manager Martin Foyle had no hesitation in handing over the armband to the defender. He said: "Pilks has been outstanding this season. Tony is a bit more loud on the pitch, but George is a more than capable replacement. He leads by his passion and commitment on the pitch." Foyle appreciates the importance of tonight's game in turning his side's fortunes around, both financially and in terms of form after successive defeats. Once more though, his ambitions are hampered by a growing injury list and players struggling for fitness. Chris Birchall should be in the squad for the trip, while Dinning's place could go to Mark Innes, who came on for Jeff Smith against Gillingham. However, Foyle admitted he was still not sure just who would line up against Rovers. He said: "It is a big game financially for the club, but we are scratching around to get a team together. "I am annoyed I can't go in with full side, but it is now someone else's chance to go out and have a good game. "However, I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel at the moment. I can't see what the side is going to be at present." Just to add to Vale's woes, League Two Rovers have hit a purple patch in recent weeks to win their last three games. Boss Paul Trollope is expected to name an unchanged side for the fourth consecutive game after 1-0 wins over Stockport and Grimsby gave Rovers successive clean sheets for the first time in a year. Leon Constantine's late equaliser saved Vale when they entertain Rovers in the first match, but Foyle said roles could be reversed tonight. "It's a bit of a fortress at the Memorial Ground, but they can't play there like they did here as they played some very open football. It is a different ball game when you are at home, and the onus is on them to come at us. "Their main danger will come from Richard Walker and Junior Agogo, so we will need to push them wide down the channels. We have also got to be a little bit brighter at stopping balls coming into them as well. "I am not sure who will be up front for us as it just keeps on changing. One minute it is Michael Husbands, then Gary Mulligan or Nathan Lowndes. It is not a healthy situation when things are changing all the time." sorry its just a cut n paste, but I thought you'd rather have it in full. ![]() Good luck, but I hope you're/we're wrong - sorry. ![]()
