I was always told rain and snow reduces goals, ball is easier to control on wet pitches and more predictable.

Wind increases goals, defenders struggle to control the ball.

Sunny weather better for goals too.

Yup! And players from lower leagues are poor with the ball (technique, dribling, vision and others)....

I know Rovers have been pretty poor so far this season but surely they won't get a better chance to register a win than on Saturday when they face a Boston side at home with only 13 fit professionals which includes 2 keepers.

2.06 at Betfair probably won't last.

Their official website says he should play. If he does then they look a good bet tonight.

Interesting - I'm not sure I agree with this theory , having played a lot of Sunday football (ie lacking in genuine skill!) there are normally more goals on a wet pitch as the defensive mistakes are increased and the goalie's struggle to take crosses and hold shots that are routine in normal conditions.

Guess it depends on if you mean a wet pitch or a waterlogged pitch!

Sherman i agree with what you are saing that defensive mistakes are increased but let's face it it is very hard to control the ball, the construction will not exist and teams have to play long balls for strikers. This tactic doesn't produce any goods...It will become a physically match and only the team with more strength will survive. The teams who put down the ball and try to make a construction attack will fail. And ggenerally the better teams are in disadvantage... So it's hard to predict a game!

SB - I think its the sodden pitches that reduce goals, defenders find it easier to control the ball and attacking player, so less crosses will becoming into the area for goalies to catch. I am not 100% convinced by the theory myself.

Although I do believe strong winds increases the number of goals and that snow and ice reduce goals.

Extreme weather and poor pitches helps the underdog as it evens a match out which I think is what Godato is saying.

Weather forecast is good weather tommorrow for most of England.

ReasoningShrewsbury have made a solid start to the season whilst Macc have made a shocking start, and have sacked their manager because of it.

Shrewsbury's home record isn't the greatest but they are unbeaten in their last 5 matches home and away. Macclesfield are still looking for their 1st win of the season but form suggests the Shrews can pick up another win tonight.

Darlington on the other hand not impressive lately, they will miss Joachim for this match, and I really cant see them as big favorites in this match.

bet365 moved price for a home win from 1.73 to 1.91 last evening - reason for that could be Joachim absence maybe, 3 players back for Rochdale, or misterious signing for Rochdale - striker who should be available for tomorrow.

Or maybe the fact that Darlo's boss was sacked in Wednesday.

Whatever, I think Rochdale are great price ~4.30

As for the other games tomorrow, I like Lincoln, although price is nothing special. No particular reason why I fancy them - just a small bet on home win.
That's not a bad call Djordje considering Rochdale are currently up 0-4 away at half time and I wish I had of read this before backing Darlington blindy

What's the chances of Darlington kicking 5 in the second half?

Top tipping at a top price!

Four goals down at half-time they should send the lot of them off

Struggling in UK Leagues lately and might pay for me to stay away as finding some very inconsistent results...For example Cork and Derry are both down 0-1 at home and hard to fathom those scorelines considering the home record of both teams and title on the line

Accrington are great price in my opinion.

Swindon are surely better side, but after few lucky results in opening rounds, they are not that impressive anymore. Paul Ince wont play for them anymore, but he played only 3 times so far so not a big deal.

Accrington in full strength. They were scoring easily at home in last few games, and with home advantage I think they will give their best tomorrow. Nah, Swindon will do their best too of course, but I really fancy Accrington to take ascalp tomorrow.

If I'm not wrong, Boston had selection worries in last 2 games but they made great results in those two games - win against Lincoln and draw at Swindon.

Bristol Rvs are favorites, but is this that black&white? I mean, major bookies still dont react with price movement (bet365 have them @2 which is the highest price) and finally, although they have 12 players available at the moment, there are few who are not defeinately ruled out.

Any thoughts on this?

I think the media guys at these clubs let on the injury list is worse than it really is with some players making miraculous recoveries the day of the game. I think they feel that the other team will think they have an easy win and catch them off guard. Another factor is although there are players missing, some of the reserves or Youth players may get their chance and will give everything to show what they can do to the manager.

But if Bristol win you will kick yourself for not backing them but dont go over the top and put everything on them and dont beleive everything you read!

Taf home for ROVERS but not until now. FANATIK FUNS. The team need the win points because it is one position up from the relegation zone. No absenties and new transers and loans to strength team.

Boston is in the relegation zone now. The team has big absenties for today match. 13 basic players plus goalkeepers and the other player is for the second team. Not good substitute.

I play HOMEWIN in this match with 2.02 in BETFAIR.
