Despite our (Chester) pick up in form, 7 pts from 9. I can't see us beating top of the league and bang if form side Walsall on Friday night. We played well last week in beating Brizzle Rovers but they're no great shakes this season.

Hartlepool look good value. Lincoln are in a bit of a slump at the moment and have been better away from home this season. Hartlepool have won 3 in a row including their last 2away games and Jon Daly has scored 7in his last 3matches. At 3.75 they look a great bet.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Match: Shrewsbury – Macclesfield
Pick: Shrewsbury –0.75
Odds: 1.971 @ Pinnacle
Stakes: 8/10

Analysis: This match pits Shrewsbury against a side who arguably has the worst form in the leagues. The stats which surrounds this match is staggering. Shrewsbury are undefeated in their last 6 and was only beaten once at home this season against a good Lincoln side. Macclesfield in contrast has not won a single game this season and their away form is nothing short of wretched, having lost all but 1 game this season. Once again their lack of sharpness in front of goal cost them their last match, it has been their story the entire season and now up against 1 of the tightest defenses in the league, one would expect them to not score. Shrewsbury have found the net in all but 2 of their losses this season and look to offer a lot going forward, something Macclesfield is sorely lacking. Already this season Shrewsbury has scored twice that of Macclesfield and the latter had conceded more than twice that of the former. 1 statistic which goes in favor of Macclesfield would be the fact that Shrewsbury has not defeated Macclesfield at home in 9 years. This would definitely be the ideal time for Shrewsbury to break this duck and lay claim to all 3 points here. Their firepower and tight defense should have little difficulties delivering them all 3 points. Shrewsbury to win 2-0.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Match: Lincoln City – Hartlepool
Pick: Hartlepool +0.5
Odds: 1.714 @ Pinnacle
Stakes: 8/10

Analysis: Hartlepool stumbled upon a rich vein of form recently and are 5-1-1 in their past 7 matches. Goals are flowing in too, having scored a whopping 12 goals in their past 3 matches. Lincoln on the other hand, are experiencing a turn of their fortunes and have found goals hard to come by in their last 2, wasting glorious opportunities. Yes, Hartlepool’s opponents were not in the same class as Lincoln but their overall form and sharpness in front of goal should allow them to steal at least a point here. I have to favor the red-hot form of Daly to deliver Hartlepool once again after he had scored 7 goals in his last 3 matches. Hence I fancy Hartlepool to steal at least a point here.

Hello xyDennis,

Ive seen you posting quite a few previews on Punter Lounge in recent weeks and am quite impressed with the way you do them, they are very helpful and you go into alot of detail so keep up the good work mate!!

What i want to know though is do you track your bets and if so, what sort of strike rate do you have?

Cheers,

Thanks for the compliments ads25 and toninozg. No, I do not post at Croatian forums. Only European language I know is English.

I have only recently got back into tipping after a couple of years' absence and have been tipping for only about a month. For what it is worth, my 'official' records from sports-punter.com is a 57+% strike rate and a current ROI of 6+%.

Unfortunately when I first started out, I used a less than ideal system. I suffered early in the month with losses up to 50. After tweaking with my selection criteria I managed to get out of the reds and claim a 50+ units profit last month.

After tweaking, my stats look like that. 47W - 6D - 27L or 59%W - 8%D - 34%L. Profits are at 96 units and ROI stands at 15%.

It is still early days of course and the high ROI and profits would need to stand the test of time and I hope it does!

Noticed the tip on Darlo...what affect will the sacking of Hodgson have?? Irrespective of who the chairman is I see the hand of Sotnick here...although I do wonder how he will persuade the rest of the board that his good mate Steve Evans should replace him, After all, an almost certain prison sentence before Christmas does not look good on the cv.

As i live in Walsall and a avid Walsall fan i say take it because. we look unbeatable at the moment,Martin Butler and Dean Keates on fire at the moment and a couple of players back from injury which only makes the team stronger,as a gambling man myself i have had a few quid on walsall @2.82 Betfair,my opinion is go for it .

Chester v Walsall

Walsall are now well and truly flying it seems under the impressive guidence of Richard Money for the first quarter of the season. To be honest, it's hard to see past them to make an immidiate return to a higher level, and with players like Martin Butler in their squad, who really should be playing at a higher level, I am pretty sure they will almost certainly finish top 3, if not Champions.

They face a side in Chester who made a good to the season with two wins, strugged for a long period, and then have again picked up well lately, with a cracking win at MK Dons'. They do however face a very tough task tommorow night I feel, with Ashley Westwood and Phil Bolland part of a list of players manager Mark Wright will be unable to call upon, to give him further headache as to how to deal with the high fliers from the midlands.

Walsall haven't been great on the road, compared to their 'perfect' home record, but this represents a good chance to add to their lead, and make a firm stand in an away trip, against a slightly under par Chester side.

Walsall -0.25 (2.14) 3/10 Pointbet

I think that Rochdale have been constantly underestimated after their poor start of the season. They lost opening 4 games of the season, they were winless in 7 rounds, but I simply cant ignore their recent great run - beaten only by Wycombe in last 8 rounds.

Darlington on the other hand not impressive lately, they will miss Joachim for this match, and I really cant see them as big favorites in this match.

bet365 moved price for a home win from 1.73 to 1.91 last evening - reason for that could be Joachim absence maybe, 3 players back for Rochdale, or misterious signing for Rochdale - striker who should be available for tomorrow.

Or maybe the fact that Darlo's boss was sacked in Wednesday.

Whatever, I think Rochdale are great price ~4.30

As for the other games tomorrow, I like Lincoln, although price is nothing special. No particular reason why I fancy them - just a small bet on home win.

I think Hartlepool could be the bet of this round. They are bang in form right now after a sticky start under Wilson and Lincoln are losing their way slightly and seem to fare better away from home. I'm on Hartlepool in some disguise, probably the Asian but will sleep on it and confirm tomorrow!

Wycombe vs Torquay
3rd vs 10th on the table and one i favour Wycombe in. Wycombe havnt won in their past 3, but before that they had a winning run which stretched 6 games. Torquay have only won 2 of their past 10 games but only lost 1 of 6 away games which isnt too bad a record. In my opinion Wycombe is one of the best sides in League 2 but they will miss 3 players tonight, but they have some good players coming back. I will put medium stakes on Wycombe here purely because i dont think Torquay can win, but the draw is of some concern.

Pick Wycombe to WIN at $1.80 - (5/10)

I wouldn't touch the game with a 10 mile pole. Not one scoreline would suprise me. It's the kind of game that we'll play superbly and destroy the opposition, yet it they play how they have the last 2 games we might as well stick 3 points and a plus 5 goal difference in the post to Hartlepool and save them the journey.

Goals, goals and more goals is the only bet here, although I haven't looked at the price as I'm sure it will tempt me, and I'm determined not to have a bet this weekend.

Anyone knows if Hartlepool's Daly is available tonight? He was doubtful for this match.

It's rained quite heavily in Hereford for 2 hours today, but the rain has now cleared.

Temperature is warm for the time of year.
