| Normally wouldn't recommend a treble, especially where all selections are odds on, but those three teams look decent for a treble a shade over 4/1. 1 Carlisle to beat Shrewsbury....Carlisle are playing out of their skin at the moment and the Slops are not the best away from home, and also won their first game for a while this weekend. 2 Wrexham to beat Rushden.... Rushden had a decent win at the weekend, but must have been on a downer after County won as well. We won well at their place within the last month and, although Rushden have shown some improvement, it will be hard for them to get anything against a team which made Wycombe look ordinary 3 Boston to beat Chester....as a Wrexham fan it gives me no pleasure to see Chester in freefall ![]() but they are in turmoil on and off the field. Failure to win so many of the last 14 or so games (time flies when you are enjoying yourself) with pretty much the same team which had been flying high earlier this season shows how bad things must be behind the scenes. Rumour is Curle has been given one more match...so this should be the last one. Mind you, he isn't helped by having to pick the owner's two sons! Boston, at home, should be too strong...Last edited by bartonbank; 13-02-2006 at 08:31. |

| The shrews have massive injury problems for tomorrow. 5 players that started on saturday are likely to miss tomorrow night ... http://www.shropshirestar.com/show_a....php?aID=42300 Carlisle are a decent price at 4/6 and I've had my fill. Less of the 'slops' though please barton, or I'll have to remind you of our latest meeting! Have to agree Chester's freefall is amusing ![]() |

| Do you 2 jokers want banning? (Bartonbank & Shrewd Boy) Laughing at the expense of my team is not acceptable behaviour! Have to agree though I can't see us getting anything from Boston, they're a decent outfit at home and if we can't beat the likes of Stockport & Rushden at home then I don't know who we can beat right now! ![]() |

| After few bad weeks leaders Grimsby are back on track. Two wins in last two rounds, against solid opposiotion are surely big moral boost, and boosted by return of two players I can only see away win here. They are strongest travellers in league this season, doing much better away from home, and fact they're guests here doesn't look like handicap for them. Mansfield were close to win against Wycombe in last round, but after 2-0 lead they managed to take only point at the end. Which is still solid result. ANyway, this should be away win and that's my bet, but to be honest I expected slight higher odds here. 2.40 is acceptable for small/medium bet.

| Wrexham (1.73) @ Blue Square Really nice odds here from Blue Square for a bet that in reality is around the 1.60 mark i would of thought. Rushden really stuggling this season to date, and won't fancy their chances on a visit to whats one of the strongest home sides in league 2 this season (9 wins at home from 16 games) Wrexham will be without a few front men, but Matt Derbyshire has been brought in on loan from Blackburn to cover, and one would think he is a great asset at this level. Rushden have had an overhaul of players in recent weeks, but they still look like one of the whipping boys of the league despite a slight pick up of form of late. 5/10 stakes for the home win.

| Lincoln are playing much better since before the shambles when they put Keith Alexander on 'leave', and are on a great run. Barnet aren't, and after a promising start are involved in a battle at the wrong end of the table. Lincoln at almost 2/1 is a great price. Stockport have had a revival under Jim Gannon, and look like they could escape in their relegation battle. Rochdale have gone into freefall since selling Grant Holt, and there is only 1 outcome that I can see in this one. Stockport to win. Torquay have also had a mini revival since sacking Leroy Rosenior, and despite losing to an in form Lincoln side on Saturday they also look like they may save themselves. Bury may not, as they are just plain poor. Torquay should make it a long miserable trip back up north for Bury. |

| Just one for tonight in this division; Going for Torquay to beat Bury 2.30 Centrebet. Torquay are battling for their lives and slightly improving of late while Bury seem to be struggling without a few key players lately. Long trip down to Torquay and at the prices i just fancy the home side to come out on top.

| I strongly agree with all you Wrexham backers. Wrexham to beat Rushden - 1.72 Betfair I have Wrexham priced up at 8/15 so around 8/11 is a great bet. They have a fantastic home record meanwhile Rushden struggle on their travels. Wrexham really will know they need to win this to continue their play off push. Strong bet at 1.72 ![]() |

| Oxford are still struggling and if they continue with poor run they could find themselves in troubles. They can't score (twice in last 6 games), their defense is not that convincing neither, and currently they are at the bottom of form table without win in last 6 rounds. Macclesfield were scoring for fun lately, but most of those goals came in their home games. They are pretty poor away from home this season (actually they are the worst travellers in league), but they managed to stay unbeaten in last two road games. Against poor opposition though, but Mansfield and Shrewsbury are not worse than Oxford at the moment. This is 3rd road game in a row for Macclesfield and that can be surely handicap for them. On the other hand, they had some nice moments against Oxford over past few years, and they could end their winless road run tomorrow in my opinion. I'll try medium bet on guests in this one.

| Amazing: you can get 1.91 at Betfair on Boston tonight. I don't know what is going at Chester, maybe David can tell us. But, they won 1-0 at Orient to go 4th last year to look like real automatic promotion contenders, but they next 15 games have had the following record 1-1-13 - on current form, as bad as Sunderland. It seems bizarre to sack the backroom staff as well at this stage of the season. Inconceivable how a team containing Blundell and Lowe could get relegated, but for me, it looks like Rushden + Chester or Bury for the drop. But 1.91 reeks of value especially when you consider that Boston have only lost 3 times at home this season, and two of those were to the automatic promotion chasers. |

| Well Gary, we were battered at Brisbane Road and we were very lucky to come away with the win which as you said put us right in the heart of the promotion campaign. Gregg Blundell started the season injured then came back and was fantastic knocking in the goals left, right and centre but he got injured again when the Rochdale keeper decapitated him and he's only just come back into the side but to be honest he doesn't seem to be the same player. Ryan Lowe was out for 4 games following his second red card. Michael Branch has ahd his problems again but has failed to live up to his billing as one of the best players at this level. We still have the same squad more or less since the start of the season bar the goalkeeper who's now the Luxembourg keeper Stephane Gillet. Stuart Drummond is an influential midfielder with an eye for goal and he along with Lowe have been the best players all season. I just hope this run ends sooner rather than later as it's now very serious and it's rumoured that manager Keith Curle has been given one match to save his job, no pressure there then! |

| After all that, just found out the game is postponed due to a waterlogged pitch over at Boston! http://www.chestercityfc.net/article...ited---Its-off |
