Colchester vs. Walsall
Colchester to win
Bet365 @ 1.57

Colchester have won 7 of their last 8 in the league alone, also knocking shef.utd and Derby out of the cup. Walsall have only picked up 0.6 points per game away from home this season, getting only 2 points in their last 6 games. With Colchester sitting pretty near the top of the table with a game in hand over southend, i can see no reason why their push for promotion wont continue.

Yeovil are struggling lately, with three straight defeats and without goal scored in those games. They were one solid run before this bad streak, and their troubles started exactly agaisnt Dons 4 rounds ago - match finished all square, 1-1.

Dons are bottom of the table and they are in huge relegation troubles this season, but they made few good results lately and picked few points. It's maybe hard to believe they'll manage two wins in a row, but they are surely not without chances at struggling Yeovil. Their road record is the worst in league, and with only one win away from home they look like underdogs here maybe, but I'm sure they'll be up for this one.

Typical 6-pointer this one, and if Dons finally manage to take win away from home they could hope to eventually survive in League One this season.

To be honest, Dons could easily lose this one with few goals in their net, but Yeovil's current form is far from convicning and surprise here is possible in my opinion. Dons are poor side, but they are simply underestimated in this one.

Small stake on away win @4 or higher.

EventBrentford - southend
Bookmaker/PriceCentrebet @ 2.30 (Back)
ReasoningI'm counting on Brentford here. Both teams are playing good football lately but home advantage makes a difference for me.H2H on Brentford side.Last game ended with big 4:1 Southend win.Brentford will for sure seek for revenge here It's about time for Southend to lose a game and Brentford is a perfect opponent to do this. They are in great form and fighting for promotion. This will be very interesting and important match.

EventRotherham - Bournemouth
Bookmaker/Pricecanbet @ 2.50 (Back)
ReasoningRotherham desperately needs points. They need wins to avoid relegation. They are boosted with McLaren return.Bournemouth are still without strikers Dani Rodrigues and Steve Fletcher.Bournemouth just average away.h2h when playing at home is on Rotherham side.Last four home games against Bournemouth ended with four wins for them.I'm counting for another one on tuesday. For such odds home advantage again makes difference here for me.

SelectionTranmere

EventTranmere - Harlepool
Bookmaker/PriceStan James @ 1.83 (Back)
ReasoningTranmere will try to secure their league position in that game.Three points here should help them doing that. They are playing pretty good lately althought they are drawing a lot of games.Hartlepool only 8 points from their last 10 games. That's not good H2H on Tranmere side here.Last 4 home games against Hartlepool - 3 wins. That's not bad Home side should take more points from that match.

Swindon 10pts win @ 2.25 Bet365

They havent lost at home since Nov & have beaten some reasonable teams at home since then (Bournemouth/Colchester). Gills have won only 1 on their travels all season & score a paltry 9 goals.

The odds seem too good to be true here.

I'd be very careful with Colchester tonight guys. Don't forget they have their biggest match ever against Chelsea on Sunday and none of these players will be smashing into tackles tonight, they all want to play in the big game and get themselves noticed.

I'm off to do a bit of research, which may end up laying Colchester.

I know what your saying about the Colchester players having one eye on the FA cup but this is a great chance for them to go top of the league as Southend could drop points tonight. Walsall also face one of the longest away trips in League one tonight which could go against them.

As much as I would like to justify it, I can't justify laying Colchester despite them having the big game on Sunday, so no bet for me.

I have picked Colchester, because they have been consistently good this season. They also looked mighty unlucky to lose at Huddersfield and are probably still aggrieved with some of the ref's decisions.

Swindon look good as said they are good at home and Gillingham are poor travellers, especially for a mid week game in February.

Last match morale boosting win for Terriers will make them
much tougher opposition away from home and as Blackpool are
lurking at the wrong side of the table I can't see this match
to be a home win. Maybe a fair chance for away win but I'll go for the draw.

EventScunthorpe X Bristol City
Bookmaker/PriceGamebookers @ 2.25 (Back)
ReasoningScunthorpe are 6-5-5 at home, yet Bristol is 2-3-10 away. Certainly suggests that Scunthorpe are the more likely to win at home tonight.
Back in 99-00 season Bristol did the double over Scunthorpe by the same scoreline : 2-1

This season at Bristol they managed a 1-1 draw though. So it looks like Scunthorpe have never beaten their visitors. This is what makes this one a highly risky and doubtful bet.

From BBC:

Scunthorpe will be without striker Andy Keogh who is on duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.
Steve Torpey returns from his ban while Steve Foster is a doubt after having stitches in a facial wound.

Bristol City welcome back Craig Woodman and Louis Carey from suspensions while Marcus Stewart and Steve Brooker should feature after proving their fitness.

However, Bas Savage and loan signing Calvin Andrew both have knee injuries and face late fitness tests.

I can't be too sure about this pick, but the odds on a home win are so high I can't resist. I'll surely back it up with a winning ace just in case.

P.S. Call me greedy, but the odds are tempting, especially when I can see Bristol City have been losing all the way on the road.

Bookmaker/PriceInterwetten @ 2.10 (Back)
ReasoningInterwetten must have their minds elsewhere to offer 3.10 on an away win. I know it's a hard game and the H2H slightly favours Brenford, but Lord! Southend are tops of the table. They are tops of form table (last 10), and they are the best away team on League One as well.
They managed a win over Brentford by 4-1 just one month ago, and that was the last time Brentford lost in fact.

It's a hard match to predict, but the bookies have maden it a bit easier by offering the visitors a handicap! Maybe you should take it.

For me, the gambler is in command now and I'll take the visitors on level ball. Risky it is I know, but I see a home win here has about 25% probability, so I'll bite into this one big time.

There always a bad taste after ending a winning streak and
although Colchester are much better side than Walsall
I don't think they will win this one. Saddlers are improving
slowly under new manager and obviously will be up for this match.
But expecting Colchester not playing at their best is the main
reason to choose DRAW

ReasoningColchester have a game in hand and are hoping that Brenford will -at least- hold Southend to a draw so thay may be level with Southend atop the table and still have that game in hand. However, they must win here to get there.
In fact it shouldn't be too hard for them as they have an 11-2-3 home record and hosting a team that's 2-4-10 on the road.

The loss to Huddersfield cost them the top spot, so now they need a win at home to cover up for that mishap.

The visitors collected 2 points in their last 6 appearances, and a little more of that kind of performance they will surely see themselves down the gutter. It won't be easy for them to pick a point out of the "lion's mouth" so to speak, and the home team gets my full support to win this one

According to the bookies, Nottm Forest are certain to get promotion this year. They keep favoring them against anyone they play, and that's ridiculous in my opinion.

Just look at their away record. 1-5-9 is really awful and if somebody else, with the same record and another name was travelling to Oldham tomorrow, I guess he would be priced @5 and Oldham would probably be @1.9 average. But no. Nottm Forest are expected to start winning, all season they are in must-start-winning-away-from-home situation.

OK, Oldham are not in best shape at the moment, but 4-2-4 in last 10 looks much better than 2-4-4. And with their decent home record in mind, I think they are worth few quid against below average travellers like Nottm Forest.

Medium bet on Oldham if you can get anything around 2.25-2.30.

Forest at 5/2 look too good to not back. We are low on confidence. Injuries are a big factor against us.

We've got no recognised right back, so may have to field one of the youth lads.

Liddell, Forbes are definately out I believe.

Wellens, Edwards, Eyresy are doubtful. - If the latter two are out that's us with no recognised left winger.

Warne and Porter are back.

I wouldnt bet on us to win anything at the minute.

ReasoningA month ago those two drew 1-1 at Doncaster. This time around they meet at Chesterfield after Doncaster produced an important win over Barnsley, whom are just above Chesterfield on the table.
However, It was a home game for Doncaster.
Chesterfield also lost the last game to Hartlepool, yet it was an away game.
The trend of each team makes me believe this one is going to be a draw, with a slight chance of a home win.

So, I'll be laying the visitors as I feel they don't have what it takes to produce a win here, though I've seen somebody placing a bet on them to win League 1 this season!

Tell you what... I'll follow my guts and bet on a draw. I've been losing a lot lately and I need to produce some revenue to get back on track.

Good Luck

ReasoningI've almost given up on my favourite team (I'm a Forest fan) to get to promotion places this season. They suck on the road, and have deteriorated from #1 at home form to a current 4th :-(

Oldham are not doing themselves any good either and I fear this game would be a matter of "whom can prove worse than the other".

Once more I find myself inclined to think it's a draw, but being a loyal fan of Forest I just keep on hoping for a day -that never comes- when they'd be able to pick up points on the road and keep a good record at home to see them move into the top 6.

Could this be the day when they start turning the fortunes? Please tell me it is, cuz I cn't see a better chance to win over a team that's lacking most of their regulars and are in a serious dip of form.

I'll be backing Nottingham to finally win away from home (actually they only won once on the road this season).

A month ago, Forest managed a 3-0 win at home over their current hosts, but that was then and both teams changed massively in terms of form since then.

ReasoningA promising run of matches without loss ended for Chesterfield at Hartlepool and this will not do them any good. Doncaster are just the opposite as they finally won so this may kickstart their form in 2006.
Being also a local derby hte draw looks the most possible outcome.

You really do seem to be pitiful on the road. I think While Megson is still in charge I think you must be opposed. It'll probably be for not much longer though.
