Sothend and Oldham both bankers for me this weekend. Southend have been fantastic this season and deserve their promotion should they claim it. I think they will be far too strong for a struggling blackpool side.

Oldham have been great at home this year and they have won 6 of the last 8 at home while oppenents MK Dons have lost 7 of the last 8 away matches. Oldham also won away at the dons this year and I feel they will make it the double over them this weekend!

Forest look to be in cracking form and against a Colchester side that is firing lots of blanks (2 goals in last 8 games). It's a 3 points or bust for Forest really as they've got to make up 2 places to secure a play-off berth. I think the evens and better available looks like a bargain to me.

Gills(0) @2.02, 3/10

Gills made few really great results lately, and if we win agaisnt MK Dons isn't big deal, previous 2 home wins against top table sides like Swansea and Brentford surely deserve all the respect. Their current position or better said position month ago near relegation zone is result of their poor road record, but Gillingham were tough place to visit for all sides this season, and they reminded and warned everyone of that with those wins agaisnt Swans and Brentford few weeks ago.

Huddersfield are huge 18 points above Gills on the ladder, still one of the main promotion candidates, but looking at their current form they are going to push much stronger at the finish of the season - they lost few points lately in games they had to win, especially away from home. They have doubts over 4 players - Pawel Abbott, Chris Brandon, Mark Hudson and Gary Taylor-Fletcher, but all of them could be ready for the match.

Gillingham held strong Huddersfield side to 0-0 draw already (Hudersfield have 13-6-2 at home, best home record in league), and if they could do that, than they are surely not without chances at their fortress. Still those 18 points look big and I'll go only with small stakes on Gillingham (0) here at evens.

Swindon @2.25, 5/10

I really like Swindon to take 3 points agaisnt Hartlepool. Actually that would be 6 as these two sides are divided by only 2 points at the moment and both are deeply involved in relegation battle. Swindon have fine ammount of wins in their home record (9-3-7) and that was the first thing that encouraged me to back them here. Another reason is guests' problems to score lately. They scored only 7 goals in last 10 rounds and they failed to score 5 times in same period, which is huge problem.

Swindon had few dissapointing results lately though. Before last round win agaisnt Chesterfield they made 5 games winless streak including 1-7 at Nottm Forest and home defeats to Rotherham and Tranmere, but I think latest win gave them much needed moral boost before this important match, and concentrated enough they can surely take crucial 3 points here.

Tip Detail
Sport Football (Eng - League 1)
Event Oldham - Milton Keynes Dons
Selection Oldham
Strength 9/10
Date 08/04/2006

Bookmaker/Price Gamebookers @ 1.50 (Back)
Reasoning Oldham are in play-off contest, and they are having a good run, especially at home recently; I don't think that relegation doomed Milton, (17 points; last in the table) may even get a draw there...They have a hopeless away record, and the first match in the first period was
2006-01-02 16:00 Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 Oldham

Those are the team news:
Olham Defender Chris Swailes is doubtful, Paul Warne and Chris Taylor (injuries)and Guy Branston (suspended) are likely not to take part in the match.

MK Dons striker Aaron Wilbraham is set for a recall after his loan at Bradford ended, but Wade Small (shoulder) and Nicky Rizzo (hip) are both doubts.
Boss Danny Wilson also has a number of other players carrying knocks.

+I hope English lower divisions experts will forgive for putting my nose into this area but though always there is a risk, off course especially in lower devision, but 1.50 is a good prize for this match and must be taken ( I guess)

Sport Football (Eng - League 1)
Event Barnsley v Chesterfield
Selection Chesterfield
Strength 5/10
Date 08/04/2006
Bookmaker/Price Betdaq @ 5.80 (Back)
Reasoning Crazy odds these - it was 7 games ago since Barnsley won and they have lost or drawn to some pretty ordinary teams. Chesterfield aren't exactly flying themselves but 5.8 seems like a good piece of value to me.

Nottingham Forest v Colchester
Forest are doing very well at the momoment and should be too strong for Colchester. Team news -
Nottingham Forest winger Nicky Southall is pushing for a recall after scoring twice for the reserves and Paul Evans could also feature after a hip problem.
Paul Gerrard is back in training after knee surgery but is unlikely to figure.
Colchester boss Phil Parkinson takes an unchanged squad to the City Ground with Richard Garcia (knee), Stephen Hunt and Marino Keith (both ankle) all missing.
On-loan Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Scott Vernon both scored for the reserves in midweek and will be hoping to start.
Forest 10/10 @ 2.01 betfair
Oldham v MK Dons
Oldham have a good home record, winning 6 of their last 8 whereas MK Dons have lost 7 of the last 8 aways. Team news -
Oldham defender Chris Swailes will have a late fitness test as he battles against a long-standing ankle problem.
Moore has further concerns over the fitness of Paul Warne (calf) and Chris Taylor (dead leg) and Guy Branston is suspended for picking up 10 bookings.
MK Dons striker Aaron Wilbraham is set for a recall after his loan at Bradford ended, but Wade Small (shoulder) and Nicky Rizzo (hip) are both doubts.
Boss Danny Wilson also has a number of other players carrying knocks.
Oldham 10/10 @ 1.53 paddypower
Southend v Blackpool
Southend should be too strong here for a struggling Blackpool side, Southend are top of the league and have a great side, Blackpool are struggling and I dont think will get anything from this game. Team news -
League One leaders Southend will be without veteran defenders Efe Sodje (fractured fibula) and Spencer Prior (knee) for the rest of the season.
Lewis Hunt is set to come in at the back, while striker Lee Bradbury has returned to training after injury.
Blackpool striker John Murphy looks set to miss out with a hamstring problem and midfielder Keith Lasley is still struggling with a foot injury.
Sam Stockley (calf) is doubtful and Danny Coid and Phil Doughty are out.
Southend 10/10 @ 1.59 betfair
