only 1 game here represents value this weekend - preston at sheff wed, as in most leagues, a scrap for the final positions, with wolves in a difficult game they have a chance at poor opposition to cement a top 6 position, good away from home and 2.30 available, having a good result midweek, looks good IMO

thye lost nugent in the week with a broken foot, he will be a big loss. Also, Sheff Wed took QPR apart last week & without the heroics of keeper Jones for QPR, the game would have resulted in a home win. I will be looking at laying Preston if they are short.

I went to the Wednesday V QPR game last week with my mate who is an owls fan and in patches Wednesday were quite impressive. Shittu also helped keep the score down, a very solid defender. Could be a low scoring draw but I wouldn't fancy Preston at a short price.

One for me in this league is:
Southampton V Watford - AWAY WIN.
Saints are not totally convincing at home. Watford have very good away form, they demolished Sheffield United away and will always get goals through Marlon King. They are play off hopefuls and I think they'll be in the play off picture after beating Southampton.

Could be tempted to go with either Palace, Hull, Luton, QPR and or Reading.
Plenty to choose from here this weekend.

preston solid for me this weekend, think theres too many opportunities for error at this time of year, good bets are very hard to get now we are in the nitty-gritty. Nugent didnt get preston to where they are in a difficult league ( good info bowles 10 never knew about his leg-break ) only reading ( 1 goal fewer ) have conceded less away than preston, cant see sheff wed scoring and davies resilience ( preston boss ) should score.

had a better look tonight and reckon cardiff are well priced at 2/1 at plymouth, no doubt massive support over the severn for them, plymouth in no mans land, not going up or down face cardiff as favourites ??? not for me.

Dave, DO NOT back Luton this weekend. We are playing awfully and are looking like a side who knows they've nothing left to play for this season. We've conceded 2 goals or more in each of our last 7 games and we have injuries galore sticking strain on a weak squad. Our captain, Nicholls, was injured last week and will be out for the season and we've been looking like a few of our players are mentally already on their summer holidays.

I'll never bet against my side but Derby are great value to win although a lay of Luton could be a safer option.

We do still score goals though so over 2.5 goals will always be a runner with our defence so poor.

Great info there, kevshat. I don't believe Luton will perform again this season, nothing to worry about and nothing to fight for. Derby is on a rise at the moment, maybe they won't win but I don't think they'll lose to a lousy Luton.

Norwich is definite value here. They are trying to put in some good performance to compensate for a disappointing season, bravely holding an on form Leeds last time. Sheffield United looks shaky at the moment and 0 on AH is a good bet.

QPR should beat Brighton easily. I doubt that Reading and Preston can win. Reading is almost certain for the top spot, they won't try to beat any opponent at all cost, especially when it's Wolves. Wolves are desperate for points to make a play-off spot, they have quality and they'll fight hard. So I expect Reading to keep the game tight and settle for another draw like the match against Watford last week.

Preston lost their leading scorer Nugent for the rest of the season. They haven't won on the road recently and had to fight hard against ten-man Ipswich. Wednesday is fighting for Championship football next season, they won't give up easily. I'll surely lay Preston.

I'll put few quids on Palace to beat Ipswich as well. Ipswich looks set for a mid-table place after the disappointing home draw against Milwall last week, they lost to Preston last time though managed to put in a good performance. But I think Palace will keep scoring to make their play-off certain.

In conclusion, I'll go for Palace and QPR (to win), Norwich (DNB), lay Preston and Luton, Reading (to draw). I'll have a look at Stoke-Burnley tomorrow, Burnley is so poor that I can't refrain from betting against them. Just a bit worry on Stoke's motivation, maybe draw game.

Oit, less of the "lousy" thank you!

I'd give Stoke/Burnley a very quick swerve. Burnley are out of form and Stoke this evening have suspended their Director of Football and Assistant Manager so whatever's been going behind the scenes up there all season is obviously still going on.

Derby to stay unbeaten at Luton is probably my only bet in Championship this weekend. (1.88 StanJames looks too big, even 1.8 for Derby (+1/2) looks good enough).

Derby are only 6 points behind Luton, but curent form is definately on guests' side. Apart from 1-6 humiliating at Coventry they wre pretty tight in defense lately, and it seems that loan signing of Kevin Lisbie resulted in much better offensife performances. They are still too close to the bottom of the table and although I dont think they will have any problems to avoid any relegation concerns till the end of the season, they surely dont feel comfortable there where they are and they will go very motivated to this match.

Luton on the other hand look pretty comfortable in the middle of the table, but they behave like the season is over. Latest defeats to Milwall and Leicester and win over leaders Reading are good ilustration for their motivation problems lately, so they shouldn't be too fired up for this match against Derby. Stupid reason I know, but I will believe in that.

Derby are pretty poor away from home, but they should avoid defeat at Luton tomorrow.

Event Hull v Crewe
Selection Crewe

Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 5.00 (Back)
Reasoning A classic 6 pointer! Two very oridinary teams at the present who seem on form and league positions to be quite evenly matched. Therefore for one team to be 5 and one team to be odds one does not make a lot of sense to me so I'm going for Crewe to win.

Event Reading v Wolves
Selection Wolves

Reasoning Wolves are the form side in the Championship - they have picked up more points than anyone else in the last 6 matches and are busting a gut a get into the play offs. Nearly 6 against a Reading side now certain for the Premier League is value that I like

ReasoningLeeds are unbeaten in 9 games, and against Coventry they are unbeaten in 6 (5 wins & 1 draw).
They are currently 3rd, with a agme in hand. they stand only 5 points from 2nd placed Sheffield UTD, yet only 1 point ahead of 4th placed Watford.

If Leeds should win this game, it fortifies their strong hopes of claiming the 2nd place by the end of the season, thus automatically promoting then to top flight without having to go through the play-offs.

Coventry's season had it's ups and downs, but they currently reside in the 9th poiustion, 9 points behind 6th placed Preston, and way ahead of relegation candidates.

I believe Coventry are happy that way, as they are noyt yet ready to go EPL hunting. They will play without tension, and should produce something nice for the fans in terms of display, but I don't think they can repeat their last game's win by 2-0 over Sheffield UTD.

They could take a point, or lose tightly though, and -in all cases- will give Leeds a good run for their money.

Good Luck
