Stewart, what I meant by saying I know where Kozzin is coming from is that he meant about you just giving positives for your selections. But then, thats why you fancy the selection, because theres not many negatives to put you off it so maybe a silly comment on my behalf. Just put it behind and move on. We all need to put info forward and help each other out so can do without situations like this.

Deleted posts now, so this may seem a wee bit weird but .....

Kozzin actually thought I was laughing at the demise of Cheltenham and he thought I was blowing my own trumpet at that success. However, as you may have realised I was laughing at Adam's comment, so a complete mis-understanding.

Bookmaker/PriceBetfair @ 3.10 (Lay)
ReasoningSheffield Utd have started there season well winning 2 out of 3 games played in the Championship, There only defeat came away to Birmingham which was a last minute winner Birmingham. Beat Port Vale 3-1 in the first round and have looked impressive so far this season.

League one side Huddersfield currely are in the drop zone after only picking up 2 points so far this season, Not a good start at all for them.

Things won't get any easier here with the visit of Sheffield United and I can't see them picking up a win.

ReasoningSunderland looked impressive at the weekend away to Spurs picking up all three points, Keane has said...

'We're going there to win and one of my biggest disappointments at the club in the last couple of years is our cup performances'.

This suggest that he will put out one of hes strongest teams and they should be to much for newly promoted Championship side Nottingham Forest.

ReasoningFulham have been a team who over the last couple of years have lost to lower league opponents quite a few times in cup games.

Leicester have made a good start in League one looking to go straight back up this year and I think they will.

Fulham are worth a little lay here at the price as a upset could easily come here especailly if they rest a few players..

EventWest Ham v Macclesfield
SelectionWest Ham -2 (Handicap)

Date27/08/2008
Bookmaker/PricePaddy Power @ 2.80 (Back)
ReasoningWest Ham haven't looked a great side from there first two games this season from what ive seen but I can see them beating Macclesfield with ease.

Macclesfield have been really poor so far this season in League Two losing 3 out of 3 and scoring none. They did beat Blackpool in the cup 2-0 at home but a trip to Upton park is a different story.

Curbishley has said he will field hes strongest team, The class of the two teams is miles apart and after some of the beatings lower league teams got tonight it shows.

ReasoningSame reasons as the West Ham game, The class of the two teams is miles apart, Grimsby in just as bad form as Macclesfield in League Two.

I expect least one of either West Ham or Blackburn to win comfortably.

Could be really stupid here but how are you laying at bookmakers stewart? Or is it just an error putting the bet in?

As far as I am aware, there is nothing against it. I saw other people were doing it on Sports-Punter, realised it was OK and started to use the bookies odds for laying. Obviously when I placed the bets, they were on Betfair, but for the purposes of Sports Punter, I was able to use bookmaker odds.

I think this and the westham bet both really good probs gonna stick a bit on the double at 7.70 with Paddys! Cheers Spooner!

Bet on Bolton last night such a mistake hate betting on teams with nothing about them at least West Ham and Blackburn both have a bit of quality.

Oldham Athletic - 3/3 wins in the league, Lee Hughes hit a hat-trick on the weekend and no matter what your views on him as a person are he's a better player than League 1 quality. This is something of a local derby and Burnley haven't started the campaign well so I'd take Oldham to pull off a shock here. They've won at Elland Road so they clearly aren't afraid on the bigger grounds and Sheridan has them playing some good stuff.

Stoke City - If your doing an accumulator in this I'd add Stoke, physical side can't see Cheltenham bullying them. Fuller/Kitson/Sidibe will have far to much for a side that has 3 points from its first 3 games. The Championship style Stoke employ should protect against an upset.

Nottingham Forest - Roy Keane has many new players and although they've done well against L'pool/Spurs I think he'll ring the changes and save the likes of Malbranque for the weekend. Forset have started positively with decent results against Reading/Watford at the City Ground and have a goalscorer in Earnshaw and a keeper in Smith who can perform heroics (plus have added creativity in Martin). Can see Calderwoods men upsetting Keane here.

Leicester City - Fulham seem prone to the odd shock, arguably shocked at Hull on day 1. Leicester have conceeded 1 goal in all comps so far this term and in Gilbert and Hobbs have good players in on loan. Steve Howard, Dyer and Matty Fryatt have enough quality to expose a weakened Fulham side that I suspect Hodgson might risk. Leicester have premiership experience in Kishishev, Howard, Dickov etc and this can prove vital in these type clashes.

Swansea City - Phil Brown's priority has to be survival in the premiership this term and i'd be amazed if Geovanni, King etc are risked here. Swansea play some nice football and 2 win in 3 championship games suggests it gets results. Back them to win this in Wales. Again in players like Britton, Scotland and Bodde they have men to hurt Hull.

Preston - there playing Derby - Jewell didn't even speak to the press after the loss to Soton on the weekend - defeat here could finish him off and I struggle to see anything but that from a side that looks likely to be involved in a second straight relegation battle.
Oldham

Stoke City

Nottingham Forest

Leicester City

Swansea City

Preston

2/6 is pretty piss poor and I am glad as stated above that I aren't big on putting money on in the cups. Suprisingly few shocks, are premiership squads getting stronger or those lower premiership sides starting to take the competition more seriously?

We're lucky to still be in the cup. Unbelievable, if Curbs lasts past September ill eat my hat. Blackburn are bankers to beat us Saturday, absolute bankers. We only scored 3 in extra time cos they had 10 men, pathetic!
