Hi guys,
another uefa cup round tonight!!!
Looking at your posts, i agree with Snowman's analisys, i want to add only any news about Fiorentina.
Just yesterday there was Prandelli's wife funeral, these are sad days for him, tonight i think team will play to the top for him.
On sunday, Fiorentina will play against Inter, a very very important match; i think they can be influenced if in half time vs aek they'll lose.
For me no bet this evening.

Thanks Orioih , Think Getafe should win but considering they have not been playing well of late and this team selection this price does not represent value.

Soccer Re: UEFA Cup - 29th November

My picks for today (Not much time for reasoning though):

Braga-Bayern Munich
After the 3 Big Clubs in Portugal, Braga is IMO the club with the best player roster and they have a new decent coach in Manuel Machado.
Bayern is the clear favourite but they had a hard time to eliminate Belenenses in the 1st round before the group phase.
I see Bayern as favourites but Braga might give them a hard time tonight.
My pick: home +1AH (Asian Handicap);

Hamburg-S. Rennes
Rennes is doing fairly well in France this season but Hamburg is also doing well and has better quality and they're playing at home.
My pick: home -1 AH;

AEK Athens-Fiorentina
A good Italian side like Fiorentina with only one defeat in the home League so far against the top of the Greek league.
There's a big difference between one League and the other and Fiorentina has a better team IMO. I don't see them losing tonight.
My pick: away PK;

Tottenham-AAB Aalborg
Too much of a difference between the two clubs and the competition is already over in many Nothern European Countries.
My pick: home -2AH;

Bolton-Aris
Aris is doing OK in the Greek league and Bolton seems to be getting back on track.
They got a big boost with the win over MU last weekend and they have good quality players.
My pick: home -1AH;

Good luck!

JC

aaargh, don't mean to rub it in, but wasn't it that Israel had nothing to play for, and Croatia as well, what happened we all know... not that I'm complaining thou... sorry.....

Guests have no chance to progress, so that makes them relaxed, easy going, I'm not expecting them to sit down, kick off their shoes, and lose the game ...

I see (the future) game with lots of goals, so over 2,5 @ 1,95 is good enough for me (wish it is 3,00, but yuo can't get everything in your life)

Hamburg - Rennes

Hamburg is in winning form unbeaten in last 12 matches and Rennes in bad form. Don't see too big class different between both teams. Small stake on Correct Score

2-0 Odds 6.8 at betfair

Some info regarding Athletico Madrid v Aberdeen

As some of you may know I am a big Aberdeen fan, and I have a small piece of helpful information.

If anyone is crazy enough to back an Aberdeen first goalscorer, the favourite is striker Lee Miller at 14/1. However, master tactician Jimmy Calderwood has announced on the back page of tonights local paper that he will be playing skipper Scott Severin up front tonight to try to ruffle the Athletico defence. Severin is more than capable of getting the ball in the net and can be backed at 33/1 to score first !!!

May not be very likely but a value bet nonetheless. Note, you may also be able to back him to score anytime with some bookmakers.

P.S. This is just what Jimmy Calderwood is planning and he can change his mind, so please dont shoot the messenger. Just relaying information.

I'm crazy but not that crazy.

I'm sure Severin is penalty taker too and I know he has a wicked shot on him from set pieces and open play. All the best with that one mate. Might be worth taking anytime scorer at small stakes. Atletico have been involved in some high scoring matches of late and leaking as many as they are scoring so there is always a chance.

howdy chaps.

2 bets for me tonight...

Both on the corner handicap market.

First up Spurs at home to Aab.

Spurs will dominate the play and should have many more corners than Aab. Therefore ive taken them (-4) @ 1.83 bet365.

Second is A.Madrid at home to Aberdeen.

Again i see Madrid with most the play, most of the chances, shots, posession, everything and therefore he handicap of (-2) @ 1.80 bet365 is too good to leave alone IMO.

Spurs Over 3,5 at 2,32 and Helsingborg Over 2,5 at 1,80 , both bets with bet365. These two are my main bets late tonight, on top of my combo above. Not much reasoning needed, Aalborg for some reason are strongly underestimated here, but they score often enough, incl away. Spurs to win, but score line in the range of 3-1,3-2 or more is what I expect. As of Helsinborg, Larsson and Omotoyossi are excellent, but the weather up north is a bit of a worry to me so I will stick to the Over 2,5
Good luck everyone
P.S. I always bet with small stakes on my first-sight picks and go for the main ones after, but shame I didn't put that small stake on Copenhagen and Mlada Boleslav, that will teach me a lesson, check my first post in this thread

Praying Copenhagen hold on against Loko Moscow. If it stays as it stands and Aberdeen lose tonight. A win at home to Copenhagen in the final game will take us through !!!!

For tonight, I have had a wee dabble at some exotic bets

Aberdeen v Atletico

£4 Scott Severin to score anytime 12/1
£1 Jamie Smith to score anytime 10/1
£1 Sone Aluko to score anytime 10/1

£1.50 Antonio Reyes to score 1st 6/1
50p Scott Severin to score 1st 33/1
50p Jamie Smith to score 1st 25/1
50p Sone Aluko to score 1st 25/1

50p Reyes to score first and Atletico to win 6-0 150/1
25p Severin to score first and Atletico to win 6-1 900/1
25p Smith to score first and Atletico to win 6-1 700/1
25p Aluko to score first and Atletico to win 6-1 700/1
25p Severin to score first and Draw 3-3 1400/1
25p Smith to score first and Draw 3-3 1150/1
25p Aluko to score first and Draw 3-3 1150/1

I'm on Spurs too (-1.5:-2) with odds 1.73 betfair. Bolton playing 4-5-1 with Davies sole striker. Anelka and Diouf warming bench as substitute

I can't rid myself of the sucpicion that some of the more famous teams don't really care that much about the UEFA-cup. It's merely a distraction from the league play and a poor concolation for having missed the champions legaue. That's why I try, sometimes sucessfully, to keep away from it.
