Fernando - dont think it will be under 2.5 in final as Zenit are attacking and Rangers cant afford to play like that in the final, its a one off not 2 legs.

A fantastic result for Scottish football to have a team in the final against all odds.
Only the true Rangers fans were the only ones who thought they would do it.
I for one was sure Fiorentina would progress & that this was one big game too many for Rangers.
Credit to the manager & coaching staff for setting the team to do so many grab n run away victories in europe.

Well, here are my bets for today:

Zenit P.-Bayern
Zenit has some players missing (striker Andrei Arshavin, left-winger Radek Sírl, Fernando Ricksen – all suspended – and defenders Nicolas Lombaerts and Kim Dong Jin who are injured) but they will surely field 11 players looking forward to make club history and making it to the finals.
On the other side we have a Bayern side which IMO has had far too many ups and downs during the season and seem to rely a lot on stars Ribery and Luca Toni to solve by themselves what the team can't solve as a whole.
Bayern are the clear favorites but I expect a tight game and see value in taking the draw.
My pick: draw;

Fiorentina-Rangers
I think everyone would agree that Italian Football is at a higher level than the Scottish one and that Fiorentina is a better overall side than Rangers.
Also, Rangers 1-1-9 historical record when playing away in Italy is far from impressive. On the other hand, Fiorentina has a 5-0-0 historical record when playing at home against Scottish teams.
(Sorry Rangers fans in the forum but) I don't see Rangers being able to stop Mutu and Vieri tonight.
My pick: home -1AH (Asian Handicap);

Not a very good day for me today ( I guess Bayern and the "Viola" can say the same ).
Congrats both to Zenit (I'm, well everybody including their coach is, surprised by the way they played when you consider that they were without half of the team's best players and were playing against a top club like Bayern...well, today, the shirts were from Bayern Munich, the team I'm not so sure ) and Rangers.
Still, I must admit that I find it incredible that a team (Rangers) that "parked the bus" in front of the net and had their 1st shot on goal in the 76th minute makes it to the UEFA Cup final...but that's the way football is (IMO and for a long time that I think this way, FIFA boys are to blame for not introducing changes to the rules that force the game to be more interesting and attacking) and results are what counts at the end.

true mate, just thinking why break tradition, done unders for most of Rangers campaign in Europe and the decent Zenit striker, cant spell his name, will be suspended. early days yet, will have a proper look nearer the time etc...
