| Although I hope it doesnt happen, it wouldnt surprise me if Rangrs were able to nick an away goal and make it to the uefa final, does anyone know what price Rangers are to qualify on thursday?? Tempted to place a small wager on it so not totally gutted should the unthinkable happen ![]() |

| 2.64 on Betfair, it's a little tight for me tbh, I'd wanted 3.0

| Amazingly no bookies have prices yet. Reckon you will get 3.0 no problem on the day as the price steadily rises. Even putting in a lay for 1.5 or so of Fiorentina should get matched easily enough - Currently there is £153 available on the backing side and that WILL be taken. £866 at present then on 1.5. A lay at 1.5 is equal to odds of 3.0. However I suggest waiting till the day or 1/2 hours before kick off and I reckon the lay of Fiorentian will be about 1.46 or so.. ![]() Reckon the 2.62 on Zenith to qualify will be my bet if it gets any bigger though

| Agreed, the 2.62 on St Petersburg to qualify is huge, home advantage with an away goal. i'd have them as favs.

| Fiorentina are great at playing patient football, Rangers will be tight at the back and in the middle too. The trend from both CL and UEFA games is that the Gers are more dangerous away, much to my surprise, while Fiore conceded far too many at home, even vs much weaker teams - in other words if we expect a careful start from both teams and the trend above is valid, value is with Rangers to reach Final. On the other hand if we know it , Prandelli knows it too. Italians somehow know how to win games like this. The fact that Inter and Milan failed in CL has different explanations. Fiorentina is far less experienced, with many young guns and a lot to prove. If they score first I rather see them winning conviniently instead of conceding as Rangers will open up, leaving space for hosts' fast forwards. If Rangers score first I can't see Fiore outscoring them to qualify as Rangers will make it even tighter at the back. So if we follow the logic of what we have seen from both teams so far the question is who will score first? On the other hand who says there will be any logic in this game? If it gets to penalties though I see Fiore going through...Hope not as many here will be on Rangers. |

| Anyone interested in getting early money on Rangers to qualify - The "Back" market for Fior has only £40 at 1.51 there. So put in a lay of Fior for 1.51 and it will get matched today - Its just short of 3.0 to qualify for Rangers at that price ![]()

| Fiorentina should have the quality to beat Rangers on Thursday. Rangers looked tired and lethargic after Celtic went 3-2 up yesterday and to be fair it didnt look as if they had anything left to claw themselves back in the game. Couple this tiredeness with the news emerging today that two influential players in Weir and Davis will both miss the game on thursday you would think that Fiorentina would have the quality to get through the tie. Despite this though in the past I've totally written Rangser off and they have managed to nick the result required to make to through. Against Panathinaikos after the 0-0 home leg I felt their best chance of progressing had passed but they managed to nick an away goal. Against Bremen before that tie I strongly fancied the germans, mainly because of the quality that side possessed, again was proven wrong due to two horrific goalkeping blunders (incidentially I heard a rumour at the weekend that Man U are apparently tracking that goalkeeper, astonishing). Against Sporting again I felt the best chance had passed after a 0-0 at Ibrox but Rangers produced a solid performance in Lisbon, defended extremely well and were clinical when their chances arose. It's for this reason that I'm tempted to place a value bet on Rangers to qualify if it gets to the 2.8-3.0 stage because although my feelings on the game are that Fiorentina should win and win well to progress to the final, it wouldnt surprise me if Rangers can nick an away goal and defend their lead to take their place in manchester. | God even if that doesnt come in you can prob lay the bet on betfair to secure yourslf an instant profit no matter what the result is. Mind you it depends on how much you put in your original stake. If you want I could hunt about and see how much of a profit you stand to make if you consider taking the risk-free profit?? |

| Its your call mate but I would avise to take the 12% guaranteed then place another bet on zenit at 2.5 to qualify. Like i say its your call, its not my place to tell you how to conduct your betting . |

I only wish other forums would give you the same advice. They wont!!!! Im my eyes, yes he is spot on - Take 12% return any day but I am a trader so thats a huge per cent for me - I normally deal in 0.5 % or at best .75% . 12% would be like winning the lottery. Remember the main fact!!! Bayern could win 6-0 ![]() Quote:

. Wish I was shopping this well. I was on Zenith big time in the first leg, if it wasn't for those yellow cards and thanks to that 3 first choice players missing I would have been on Zenith again. Without Arshavin though..In any case great pick at these odds! Last edited by nicko; 29-04-2008 at 08:09. | |
