Massive value in D.Kiev for me @4.4 Even +0.5AH is @1.95 wich is also value.

Dynamo beat Rubin 3-1 in first leg and i don't see why can't they beat them again.Weather factor will not count as we have same weather conditions and we are not pussys like Barca that didn't even trained cos of cold
This weekend Dynamo beat Shakhtar 3-0 and will be in a good mood for this match.Basicly every team in this group have chance to qualify at the moment so it is must win for every team.

Maybe win is a bit long shot but double chance looks realistic.

More info and team news to follow....

The Champions League games can now be divided into two, the vital games and the useless games. Betting on the useless games can be too risky unless you wait to see the actual lineups.

I will surely bet upon the following games

  • barca v inter
[Barca need a win badly, but they are playing really poorly at the moment. Messi is off form and Ibra has not really replaced Eto'o. Furthermore Barca may be playing without both their frontmen, so I will definitely wait to see how they line up before I place my bet. If Barca field their full strength team, then I will bet on a home win.
  • debrecni v liverpool
[Liverpool need a win to have any chance of progressing. Although they have many injury problems and are off form, they should be too strong for the hungarians. An away win for Liverpool seems to be a good bet.]

  • real madrid v zurich
[real madrid need a win and should be too strong for zurich. A win before the clasico on sunday against barca will be all that real fans would demand, especially after the poor display during the weekend. Furthermore Ronaldo might make the bench for this game.

  • arsenal v standard
[arsenal need a point to progress and a morale boosting victory going in for the game against chelsea next weekend. I will wait for more team news before placing my bet since arsenal might be a bit too stretched at the moment.]

Fiorentina vs Lyon

I think this has draw written all over it. If you would have offered this situation to Fiorentina at the start of the groups they would have taken it with both hands. Same for Lyon. Pretty even teams that would both accept a draw. Presuming Liverpool win, that would mean Fiorentina only have to avoid a heavy defeat to go through.

Draw - 23/10 - Medium stakes

Also I think there is value in Inter. It will be a very tight match, with lots at stake. I'd feel a lot better taking inter at 4's than Barca at 4/5.

Agree with Mahno and will be getting on Kiev.

i can see arsenal hitting a good few past standard and i might take these bets on

arsenal over 1.5 goals
arsenal over 2.5 goals

but i would want to hear the team news first before i put money on it

Liverpool is so unpredicted, so I think this can happen, especially with Gerrard and Torres recovered. Lyon showed horrible performance this weekend against the weakest team(by a mile) in France - Grenoble. I dont think it will be a big tragedy for Lyon if Fiorentina takes over, since they have to play against weak Debrecen next.

Im here with you, they showed really good performance against Shakhtar this weekend, although they did get lucky at the beginning of the game. Dynamo's coach Valeriy Gazzaev knows everything about Russian teams and especially Rubin. This can be kinda tricky bet though, since Rubinhs just won local league, so they can fully concentrate on the CL

I prob made a bad decision in backing Inter at home to Dynamo a couple of rounds ago (finished 2-2), but i was v.impressed by the Ukrainians, the two guys up front worked tirelessly and i havent seen Shevchenko play that well since...forever! They looked a talented team, nowhere near the team that we have seen tonked continuously over the past 10 years or so in Europe..Rubin have performed way above the level expected of them in the games so far, but this group is now wide open, anyone can qualify and i still think Dynamo are the better side....im not sure how Rubin normally approach games but im guessing they sit back and hit teams on the counter, maybe it will suit Dynamo playing away as it may force Rubin to play on the front foot a bit more...either way, with the cold not being an issue, Dynamo certainly look good value to me..

Glasgow Rangers - Stuttgart: Rangers WIN.
I think that Rangers must win in this game.
On the one hand, Scottish teams always play very strong at home and Rangers is the first place in Scotland now.
On the other hand, Stuttgart is very weak now - only on the 16-th place in Germany and has only 2 wins in 13 games. In the last game Stuttgart had a draw with very bad Herta at home. And Stuttgart has many problems in attack - only 11 goals in 13 games in Germany. And probably Stuttgart will have problems with injured players - Cacau and Schieber.

Debrecen v Liverpool, Gp E, 19:45
Qualification is more or less gone for the Reds barring Miracles.
And with some players carrying injuries into this match, it does not look as clean cut as I would like for the away win.
You have to go back to Sept for the last away win for Liverpool in all competitions.
And for a Liverpool clean sheet (in last 12 games only 2 clean sheets) - you have to go back to their EPL home win v Man Utd.
Will not waste my money on 3/10 for the away win, will try a punt on the Both Teams to Score market @ 5/6

Fiorentina v Lyon, Gp E, 19:45
Fiorentina have scored in 5 out of 6 CL games this season.
The one game they have not was against Lyon.
Lyon - scored in all 6 CL games this season.
Seeing as Fiorentina are at home I will again go for Both Teams to Score @ 5/6

Rubin Kazan v Dynamo Kiev, Gp F, 17:30
Both teams are top of their respective leagues.
Rubin's current form looks a lot better than Kiev's but I am unsure of the class of opposition in both leagues.
Rubin have had two recent key home matches that both finished 0-0 versus Barcelona and Zenit.
With that in mind I am going for Under 2.5 Goals @ 8/13.
I did look at Anytime goalscorer but the recent 0-0's have put me off a little, so will keep the stakes low.
Rubin - A. Domínguez @ 13/8
Kiev - A. Milevskiy
@ 11/4

Barcelona v Inter Milan, Gp F, 19:45
I don't expect too many goals in this tie. A draw does not suit either team considering how close the other teams are.
But a loss for Barca or Inter does not mean qualification is gone, it's just more difficult.
The previous meeting ended 0-0, so I am expecting another low scoring match - Under 2.5 Goals @ 5/6.

Evening gents,

Debrecen V Liverpool - Liverpool (-1) win @ 1.91 (William Hill)

This may be a bit of a shock pick considering the state Liverpool are in at the moment, but I feel its the right one.

L'Pool have been on a very bad run of form lately, having said this they have been struggling with injuries with arguably their three best players being absent in recent weeks. They go into this matchday 5 match knowing anything less than a win will see them fall out of the competition at the group stage - simply not good enough for Rafa and his men. Rafa will have his team focused on getting the win in Hungary, they know they need to take care of their own game first before worrying about what happens in Italy. They played Man City at the weekend and drew 2-2, that takes their worrying run to one win in ten games, look to Gerrard and co to improve that record tomorrow night in Hungary. They lost Babbel on Saturday due to an ankle injury so he joins Torres and Rierra on the sidelines. However Gerrard did play his part along with an encouraging appearence from Benayoun the team are starting to get some of their stars back. Also encouraging for the Liverpool side is that Johnson and Agger have both made the trip and could feature.

I know Liverpool are still missing some players and yes they have been off form, but I cannot see them going another game without a win and I think the Hungarians offer Rafa a perfect opportunity to get a good solid win under his belt and build on that for the Derby game this Sunday.

Liverpool (-1) @ 1.91 for me

Unirea Urziceni v Sevilla (19:45 GMT) 3.55 3.35 2.34 100.75 %

I think Seville offer great value here. They have already qualified but will surely want to win their group so I expect them to be too strong for Unirea. Seville destroyed both Rangers and Stuggart on their last outings and I expect them to do the same here. Unirea have not been convincing this season in their league so far and currently sit in 6th place after 14 rounds - although only 3 points of 1st they have only won 7/14 (50%) of their matches. They did hammer Rangers at Ibrox but this was a bit of a freak result in my opinion and are nowhere near as good as that scoreline suggests. The fact that they have to play their home european matches in Bucharest dosen't help their cause.

Probably a bit risky venturing into the handicaps (will need the line ups first) so will most likely go for the Seville win at around 2.30.

Just to put Liverpool`s chances of qualification into perspective, here are the odds being offered by SkyBet:-
Liverpool NOT to qualify 1/14 or 1.07!!
To Qualify 13/2 or 7.5.
I think I will have a punt on them scrawping through as usual. That way I win both ways ha ha .
They may well beat a poor Debrecen side but Lyon will draw with Fiorentina guaranteed.
PS> Benitez is now second favourite manager to leave before the end of the season. If he leaves and Liverpool do not qualify, expect to see Torres leave also.

BE Careful with this bet!! Sevilla is already qualified for next stage and despite weekend win against poor Teneriffa you should take in mind that coach Jimenez was without nine players. As Sevilla is about to break into Barca/Real dominance, sitting only 3 points behind table leader Real, I am sure he will rest some important players in CL clash, too. On the other hand we will see motivated Romanian team, which could cement their promotion to next stage with first home win...
This is exactly one of those clashes, which bookies love. Many bettors see only the big name and great form of one team like Sevilla, even don't care about unusual high odds (should be around 1,80 under normal circumstances) and totally forget about lack of motivation. I think Sevilla will fully concentrate on League in next weeks, cos it seems to become one of best recent seasons of this club...Would recommend to await team news, and if too many key players from first team missing to lay Sevilla, especially if players Navarro, Navas, Kanoute or Fabiano will be rested.
