Injured / sick
Edvin van der Sar, Gary Neville, Wes Brown, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, John O'Shea, Jonny Evans, Fabio, Rafael, Owen Hargreaves, Federico Macheda

Rest
Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, DImitar Berbatov

Not allowed to play

Actually i like smallodds as well, im creating a 5 fold accumulator for tomorrow with max odds of around 1,8 and 3 double chance bets. I mostly end up with a total odd of around 10. These type of bets brought me major profit and worked 4/5 times in the last 2 weeks.

Im also tempted to play high stakes as well, problem is that I am still too young and therefor have too much of a small budget to risk a high stake bet. I wouldn't like to lose the 140€ euros my 5 fold accu payed me yesterday . Surely if I would have an average income I would consider a high stake on chelsea, since its a definite banker imo.

Anyways... sorry for the off topic

/e

just read the input on manu, thanks xzta. looks like manu will miss some of its offensive power eh? Makes me reconsider over 2,5.

GROUP A
Maccabi Haifa v Bordeaux
maccabi haven`t recolted 1 point until now.they will face an unmotivated
bordeaux who will rotate his squad.
for bordeaux playmaker gourcuff and other regular player like carrasso,
diarra, plasil has left out of the squad match.
the coach laurent blanc have to prepare the next sunday away match against
lyon.
so i beleive than this upset haifa are really able to get a victory against
(the reserve of) bordeaux

Juventus v Bayern Munich
this will be the game of the day !. bayern are not yet eliminated, they
have won 2 games and both of them (like juventus) was against
poor maccabi haifa.important Chiellini is out .it will be a tough game.
i think the first team will find the net will play in defence to save the
result.
i prefer the under 2.5

GROUP B
Wolsburg v Manchester
manchester have to take care if they want to go the next round safely.
a draw will be enough.manchester will travel to germany to face a high
scoring wolsburg who are conceding a lot as well(19-18) at home.
the germans will go forward and like marseille they should suffer of the
counter attack.
but unluchy for united there will be only one real defender in germany,it`s
evra,so many injuries for fergusson rafael,evans,fabio,da silva,o`shea,
ferdinand, wes brown and neville are out of the team .
likely home win

Besiktas v cska moscou
the turkish are in desesperated position in this group while the
russian have finish their championship since two weeks and had plenty
of time for to prepared this match. it will be a big event if moscou
manage to get a ticket for the next round.they never did it in the
modern champion league. so the motivation of the russians will be huge.
for besiktas regular defender tomas civok will be back but ibrahim kas is
very doutful.
for moscou both midlefiwederMark González and Daniel Carvalho haven`t
travelled with the rest of the squad.
x2 for me

GROUP C
Marseille v Real Madrid
must win for marseille and for madrid as well if milan get 3 points at
zurich.so marseille will attack and will suffer of the madrid counter
attack and this is biggest problem of marseille.madrid deserved to be
leader of the group and to stay.
we could see all the class of the madrid players next tuesday.
it`s important for them to get the first spot of the group, because this year
the logic has been respected and almost all the big team have won
their group.like this they will avoid a top team for the next round.
Kaka and Guti aren`t include to the squad.
away win or x2 for cover
over 4.5 goals

Zurich v Milan Ac
like everybody know zurich won away to milan, there are a rivality
between swiss and italian and i am sure the swiss will be delight to
eliminated a top team like milan.
zurich are already out but they will very motivated for this last game.
when they will play a champion league match ? 1,2,3 years ?
important for zurich as well for the money ,if they win the club will
get more cash with the uefa.
but milan know this zurich side are very poor this year in their league.
milan will go for the win even if ronaldinho is doubful.
they are in very good form actually with 5 straights win , but a defeat
will not surprise me.
no bet for me

GROUP D
Atletico Madrid v Porto
porto can`t get the first spot and cannot be eliminated of this group
who the logic has benn respected this time. we could see a draw.
Quique Flores are the new coach of atletico who has managed benfica before.
porto will do some change for tuesday.
it will be hard to resist at aguerro and forlan power.
home win

Chelsea v Apoel
hard to beleive that this apoel can beat chelsea then to get a ticket in
europa league.they haven`t won a single game in the group.
apoel have won 3 qualification games for to reach the goup.even during
this matches they have lost away to copenhagen and belgrad.so they are
really unable to get some positive result away.
home win

Be very carefull with Bayern München. I am backing them with a high bet.

http://www.fcbayern.t-home.de/de/akt...2009/21646.php - Van Buyten playing aswell.

They want to win this game, and they want it bad. And yes, they can - and will.

Michael Carrick set to start at centre-back tomorrow! Teamtalk:

''Vidic missing for Wolfsburg trip

Nemanja Vidic is out of Manchester United's Champions League trip to Wolfsburg, leaving the Red Devils with only one first-team defender

United had hoped Vidic would have recovered from the flu bug that kept him out of Saturday's win at West Ham.
However, the Serbian was absent as the Red Devils checked in for the short flight to Germany, giving their manager a major headache.
His list of injured defenders includes skipper Gary Neville and England international Wes Brown, who both limped off at Upton Park, plus longer-term casualties Rio Ferdinand, John O'Shea and Jonny Evans. With the Da Silva brothers, Fabio and Rafael, also sidelined, the only first-team defender Ferguson has in his squad is left-back Patrice Evra.
Ferguson has already revealed his intention to play Michael Carrick in central defence, while Darren Fletcher seems certain to occupy a defensive berth, too, although which one is open to debate.
Among the less familiar faces in the United party are Oliver Gill, son of chief executive David, Magnus Eikrem, Cameron Stewart, Matte James and Oliver Norwood.
Normally, Ferguson would only class outings such as this as useful staging posts in a young player's development.
However, on this occasion, there is the very real possibility they could play a prominent part.
In addition to the defensive problems - first-choice keeper Edwin Van der Sar is also missing - Ferguson has taken the option of leaving Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov at home, meaning Michael Owen and Danny Welbeck are the only strikers in his 19-man squad.''

Agree with guys about Juve. Also they should be in a good mood after victory over Inter.Bayern didn't impress me much in CL at all.

I think Atletico can beat Porto at home. They finaly started winning again.Aguero and Forlan are in a good form.So i think Atletico will fight for place in Europa while Porto is qualify already so have not much to play form.

Chelsea -1 at home.they should bounce back after thta defeat against Man.City. Don't think Apoel will resist much.

We'll see. I don't think it will be a easy game for Juventus. And the odds of over 3 for Bayern I think it's a fair and square bet.

Sorry to **** up the thread - but how do I automatically monitor threads I participate in?

Juventus - Bayern

Juventus host Bayern tomorrow in Turin in a big game with knock-out stage qualification at stake.

I think that both teams will fight till the very last minute and it's going to be a very close encounter. Juventus players are hot-tempered, especially when playing such an important match. Last five Juventus' games ended with at least 5 yellow cards, and in last one agaist Inter Gigi Buffon was seen exchanging blows with Tiago Motta.

One thing is certain - either Bayern or Juventus will be eliminated tomorrow, and I expect tension to be sky-high in the closing periods of the game as the players of one of these teams will be frustrated with being knocked out to Europa League. 4.5 cards in this game is worth trying, and I can even see a red card coming at a great value of ~4.00.

Verdict: Juventus - Bayern over 4.5 yellows (red counts for two)

Wolfsburg v Man Utd

As well as having a defensive crisis Man Utd have sent a weakened squad to Germany for this one. This is the squad :

Squad: Foster, Ku'zak, evra, gill, obertan, eikrem, scholes, gibson, Valencia, carrick, James, owen, fletch, park, Ando stewart, nani, norwood, wellbeck.

Apologies for the text speak in there, got it from an official Utd journalist on Twitter and not familiar enough with some squad players to correct it.

No Van Der Sar and no recognized centre back will be a problem for Man Utd. They will still field a decent side but they look well beatable here away to strong opposition. If they lose and CSKA win in Turkey then Man Utd will still top the group. Wolfsburg will be highly motivated as they need to at least equal CSKA Moscow's result in Turkey.

Utd may have to a field central defensive partnership of Carrick/ Gill ( chief exec David Gill's son) or Carrick/Evra. According to SAF Rooney & berba have not been rested but are injured and doubtful for Saturday. It all looks messy for Utd looking at defensive permutations and Wolfsburg won't have a better chance of beating them. They should win this at around 6/5 but something in the back of my head is saying maybe over 2.5 is the safer bet, Utd will be vulnerable and may see attack as the best form of defence and without stats at hand Wolfsburg seem to be a team who always goes over.

Gonna look into Wolfsburg's form and think about this a bit more but home win and overs do look decent here.

got to disagree here, because they want to win they can and they will? that doesn't just account for one team here, there's one more team left out and thats the team who just beat league leaders inter milan on saturday, oh yeah their opponents Juventus.

Bayern can win against Juventus, but it will be a tough match.
What makes me optimistic to see them winning is the fact that they did dominate Juventus in their first match already but they were not capable of creating clear goal chances.

Now they found a way scoring, although they are still not 100% convincing they did show an improvement.

Additionally, I think Juventus has small problems in defence. The balance is not right good yet and this might be the chance for München to win this match close.

Bettingwise I like the under 2,5 - the halftime draw and München +0.25 in this match, but I will decide before kick off if I will put my fingers in this because Champions League was not good to me in past

Group C
R Madrid 10 (+6) W D L W W
Milan 8 (+1) D D W L W
Marseille 7 (+1) D W W L L
Zürich 3 (-9) L L L W L

Zurich v Milan

Milan will be looking for revenge after their last meeting with Zurich losing 1-0.
Zurich have recently played well against all three of the other teams who are chasing qualification.
Barring the Marseille drubbing, they have kept the goals down to 1.
Milan have to win to ensure second spot in the group.
They will take a 1-0 win but will surely have enough creativity to bag a second.
Borriello and Pato have been in good scoring form recently.
With Seedorf also on the scoring sheet and Ronaldinho hopefully having a good game, it should be a fairly comfortable win for AC.
I know the same could of been said for Real Madrid who only won 1-0 recently but this is the final match and its make or break for AC.
Going for AC Milan -1 @ 11/10

Marseille v Real Madrid
Marseille have to go for this match and hope that Zurich pull one out of the bag against Milan.
A 1-0 win would not be enough as they have to overturn their 3-0 loss away to Madrid earlier in the stages.
This should open up the play as OM have to go at Madrid to keep any hope alive.
Madrid have scored in all of their CL matches this season.
OM have scored in all theirs bar one, versus Madrid away.
Going for Over 2.5 @ 5/6

"Of course the match against Freiburg did cost us power. But I can assure that the team is not only fit, but also very motivated. We did show amazing performances in Champions League already and I believe that we can get what we aim in this match."

Slight comment to the line-up. I do not think that is what we may see tomorrow. Ziani did show an improvement and Schäfer should play too if not injured (could not find any information about him).

hi guys, first time poster but long time viewer and i'd like to give my opinion about two games:

Wolfsburg VS. Man United

I've been following wolfsburg's last games and noticed the obvious: their defence is very weak. they conceded two goals from weak freiburg and should have conceded more then two vs CSKA, and even in a weak game from bremen side they conceded two. On the hand their attack is exactly the opposite, with Dzeko and Grafite leading the attack supported by Misimovic they are more then capable scoring against weak man utd that has no natural centre-back + they have to win so they wont need to rely on CSKA's result, which means they will be looking to attack and probaly score 1-2 goals, and i belive United can punish them by counter-attacks and score 1-2 goals themselves, plus last game it ended 2-1 so why not this game aswell
OVER 2.5 @ 1.91 Victor Chandler (high stakes)

Juventus VS. Bayren Munich

Without seeing team news, i cant see juventus losing this game, maybe a draw but thats also unlikely. In their last league game Bayren played very poorly and should have lost, plus they had weak performances+resultes vs bordeaux. Juventus's side isnt so impressive themselves, but the game versues Inter is a huge morale boost + this game at their home turf and we saw what impact it has on players from both sides in the Inter match. Im betting Juventus to win based on current form+lousy form of Bayren, and the home advantage.
Juventus To Win @ 2.3 Victor Chandler (medium stakes)

Juventus (+0) @ 1.62

I do believe in miracles but i can't see Bayern winning this game. I watched them many times(unfortunately) this season and some thing you can't change over night. Van Gaal and rest of the players didn't clicked(yet) and that doesn't look good. Only guy who could help them making something, Ribery, is out. And most likely other match-winner, eternaly injured Robben, will join him on the sidelines. Juve will miss Chiellini but Juve looks so much better in this matchup. They had no problem locking their goal in Munich where Bavarians were harmless and they are able to do the same in this match. I see this as a narrow home win, or a draw in worst case. Bayern will qualify-for the Europa League.

Zurich/Milan Over 2.5 @ 1.87

Things are simple here, Zurich is out of the group phase while Milan needs to win just to be sure for 2nd spot, and possibly even win a 1st position if Real slips up in Marseille. Real will probably pass the group even if they lose to Marseille cause they won first fixture 3-0.
Milan continues to play very offensive football and that's paying off. They are right behind Inter in Serie A and have everything in their own hands here in CHL. Zurich won their three points against Milan so Rossonerri should be fired up for a revenge. Having in mind that hosts have absolutely nothing to lose, this should be an entertaining match to watch.

Chilleini and Buffon are both out for Juventus i have read this morning. Huge losses, both very important to the side. For me, i'll be going for low stakes on Bayern WIN @ 3.65 (Betfair)

For me, this game could go either way, but i see Bayern just edging it, mainly because of the outs for Juve. Too close a game for me to put high stakes on this one, but GL to those who do.

I would think twice and then twice more before putting Chelsea in accumulators, its really not worth it.
Ancelotti isn't obliged to put out any of his first 11.
Why should he? There is nothing to gain only potential injuries in a nothing game.
The opposition could easily grab a draw and this is a rare opportunity for the manager to have a look at whats at the club outside of players who's tranfer fees alone could feed small countries.
I am tempted by Ap Nicosia +1
