1955: GOAL Sevilla 0-1 Arsenal
Nicklas Bendtner provides a dangerous cross from the right touchline for Eduardo who evades a challenge from Daniel Alves before finishing. That's the Croat's second goal in three Champions League games.

Q: Who is this Nicklas ?
A: An Arsenal Danish international player who's quite good enough

Well dont look like your Loughing now does it , because your so called Fixed game which dont happen in this type of football would of meant Ronaldo stuck that free kick in Row Z seat 300.

That sort of post on here puts a lot of people off genuinly doing what they thought and you have probably cost quite a few people on here money with that sort of post.

If I can give you a bit of advice , keep such comments to yourself as when they dont come off you look a right PLONKER.

Looked a lot better in the 2nd half with a couple of subs on.

just shows that MU squad isn't quite what they think it is.

Nani, Anderson(who was slightly better in 2nd half) Fletcher, Carrick, O'Shea,Saha. Poor

Giggs & Tevez livened them up a bit after the break

As for the GK tonight, think Ben Foster will have strong claims to be no1 once EVDS retires/moves on.

Sevilla - Arsenal Over 2,5 Sevilla at home always score, plenty of attacking options in Kanoute, Fabiano, Kerzhakov, Kone etc. Don't expect a team of their caliber to approach this game waiting on the FT result in Romania. If any of those forwards is missing, good old boys Chevanton and Maresca could step in, both hungry for top level football. As of Arsenal, certainly Wenger will rest/miss some players, whoever plays though, as it happened so many times with them ,will be fired up to impress. Still, don't think it will be another clean sheet for Arsenal.
Lyon - Barca Over 2,5 Lyon will play to win and this is my strong point for this bet. Possibly without Benzema, but I think it is another mind game. Henry missing the game is bad news for this pick. Yet both teams have so much fire power that the minimum I expect is a mirror CS to the one at Camp Nou. A couple of close range free kicks in the first 20 mins should be enough to ''open the game up''
Inter - Fenerbahce Over 2,5 Simple reasoning - an Inter win is highly probable, but I am pretty confident the Turks will score as well with two good forwards and an excellent midfield. Noticed some ''substantial'' bets this morning in my local bookie on the draw, well then, I hope it is a high-scoring one
Stuttgart - Rangers Over 2,5 This one is a very ambitious, with the deffensive approach everybody expects from the Scots and Gomez possibly missing from the hosts. Somehow though I expect an early goal in this game, which could come from both ends, and this will turn it all upside down for both teams.
Anyone???????????????
nicko, congratulations on your great results tonight !
A bit risky but you did it !

M. United-Sporting
If I had any doubts that anything can happen is sports, after watching the Boavista-Guimaraes game tonight in the Portuguese League those doubts would be gone by now.
This is to say that anything can really happen in this game (and in all the others, of course) but if Sporting get a result tomorrow I'll be very, very, very surprised.
They're currently in a very poor form, they will play again without their main keeper, Serbian International Stojkovic, and injured forward Djalo (not as important but still a regular in the team).
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if coach Paulo Bento plays tomorrow with 5 defenders instead of the usual 4 trying to keep a clean sheet in the 1st half.
The left back and the right back are, by far, Sporting's weakest points as a team and with Cristiano Ronaldo back in the team for MU they'll have a lot of trouble tomorrow.
My biggest question mark for tomorrow is Man. United's motivation for this game.
My pick: home -1AH (Asian Handicap), IMO the price is HUGE...let's see how it goes.

Lyon-Barcelona
Barcelona has a few players missing (Deco, Henry...) and Lyon will probably miss Striker Karim Benzema.
Even with a few players missing I don't see why Barcelona are the "dogs" in this game as Lyon is not playing as well as in recent years.
Barcelona has only a small point advantage in the group and cannot afford to lose this game.
My pick: away PK (at 2.090!!!)

Sevilla-Arsenal
Sevilla hasn't been playing as well this season and now that they lost coach Juan de Ramos to the Spurs I think they'll need some time to adapt to the new coach.
Arsenal is playing great so far this season and they'll be looking at assuring 1st place in the group which will be important at a later stage.
My pick: away 0/+0.5AH;

Inter Milan-Fenerbahce
Inter has great players and are the favourites here but the Turkish side is doing very well in the Champions League (2 victories at home and 2 away draws so far), they also have some great players and will be looking for a result here (even a draw could be a good result for both teams and assure them a place in the next stage).
My pick: away +1/+1.5AH;

CSKA-PSV
I think CSKA were a bit unlucky in a few games in the Champions League this season and could have a few more points than they actually do.
This is their last chance to, at least, clinch a UEFA Cup spot.
PSV lost both away matches and both by a two goal margin. They also recently lost their head coach Koeman who moved to Valencia.
My pick: home win;

Dynamo Kiev-Roma
Roma will be again without their star Totti and a draw will most likely be enough for their ambitions.
On the other hand, Dynamo is in such a poor form that I can't really see them beating the Italians tomorrow.
My biggest question mark here is if Roma will be satisfied with the draw...
...anyway, at 1.909 I think it's a good price to pick Roma in this game.
My pick: away win;

Good luck!

JC
Not a good day for me today with a 1-3-2 record:

1. push
2. push
3. lost
4. lost
5. lost
6. won

Cheers.

JC

, JC, tonight was my best night in CL so far, as on top of those I had four Overs in a combo, paid off a bit over 1150 points. It was your post though that put me off having the Stuttgart game added to my Over choices, just calculated with that game on top of Sevilla, Roma, Lyon and Inter I would have rounded it up to 6 big ones. The reason I have no grudge with you is your top work along with Zigoto in , what is now, your personal Portuguese thread
Thanks and good luck today.

Sorry about that mate ...I was just trying to warn you. See, one of the main reasons why people loose money betting in sports in the long run is because of human nature: they love to bet favourites and "overs" (nobody likes to bet on bad teams and on only a few goals or points...).
The bookies know this very well and use it to their advantage .

So, we need to stay alert all the time and look for value.

I'm glad today was a "goal spree" night and it paid out very well to you .

Portuguese thread is not mine and/or Zigoto's, I just try to make a positive contribution.

Good luck for your wednesday picks as well.

My point is you are so untolerant and you dont know what is the mining of word forum... it is about changing opinions and ideas, democracy not about judging people if they have different views from one you have.

My idea was maybe crazy for you but you showed who you are deep inside , jumped at me like like i said Sporting players have 5 legs and they will win becose of that.

In other words:
If i am a fool and you are wise you will just laugh in your self on my crazy idea and life goes on... thats mature thinking and democratic reaction all of others behaviour is fashism.

@ nindza74 I was following your picks in all threads, some good ones, some wrong ones and I am sure somehow you might have even helped some people in the forum. The point is that your picks were delivered in a patronising-I-know-everything way, and no wonder you got some bad replies after the Man U game. I know other people who had reasonable stakes on Sporting tonight but none of them was rude. If you go back to your posts you will see that a couple of them were not nice, and some were hardly helpful like ''Stevenage X - Monday game''. If I was you I would still post my opinions on games here, and especially those where you might have an inside info on, otherwise I would see no point being in this forum, rather follow it as a guest. Then you might as well get answers like '' thanks nindza'' instead of ''go get a life, plonker''. Simple as that.
Good luck with your bets today

You said the game was fixed. It wasn't fixed, Man Utd were playing to win, you said Ferguson was a well known gambler and had a bet on it, he looked pretty happy to me when Ronaldo scored.

Your opinions didn't add to democracy on the board, you may have put a few people considering a home win off their bets in the ludicrous idea it may have been fixed. We want alternative views to make us think but that wasn't an alternative, the game was going to finish a draw in your head.

Your a clown and shouldn't be on a betting forum if you think a game like this would be fixed.

The guy is O.K. It's his patronising that upset people, otherwise he had some good picks recently. I guess he comes from my part of Europe where everybody suspects a fix in almost every game, I call it the Italo-Balkan syndrome. Remember Italy 2 years ago?

Fair enough mate I'm sure he has had other good picks but he may have cost people money tonight by suggesting it was a fix. I remember Italy well, but tonight was a Champions League game in Manchester, where a draw didn't really suit either team anyway!
