Chelsea win - Not able to check odds yet so taken as 2.25 (Centrebet) as above

Chelsea will be looking for an initiative especially in light of the recent press comments about Mourinho and the game tonight being all important for his future at the club. If you then add in the history of Mourinho returning to his former club there is every incentive for Chelsea to get the win tonight.

I think the game will be held tight, few goals if there is more than one scored. I can easily imagine that tonight will yeild a 1-0 win so if you can get in at Under 2.5 goals and Chelsea win then I'd say it's there for the taking.

Inter-Valencia 1 @ 1.80 in my opinion it's not a great value! Sure you can't say that Inter is in good form but this good form is in Serie A, not in CL. In CL, Inter never play extremly well and they never look like a very strong team! Valencia beat Barcelona last week-end, so they have a very strong moral. Whit Villa, Morientes, Joaqim if he will play Valencia it's a strong team and it will be very hard to beat. So i'am going for Under 2.5 on this mach, but whit a smmal stake!

Statistikk Inter Milano vs Valencia
Inter Milano Uavgjort Valencia Mål
At San Siro (Inter Milano) 1 2 0 2 - 1
At Mestalla (Valencia) 2 0 1 7 - 3
Total: 3219 - 4

Results from earlier matches
2004-11-02Inter Milano-Valencia0-0
2004-10-20Valencia-Inter Milano1-5
2003-04-22Valencia-Inter Milano2-1
2003-04-09Inter Milano-Valencia1-0
2002-03-21Valencia-Inter Milano0-1(UEFA Cup)
2002-03-14Inter Milano-Valencia1-1(UEFA Cup)

I agree that this wil be an tight match with the under 2,5 bet as a good choise. I think inter milano can make it and win 1-0 because of their resent form.

Barca-Pool,X HT it is my pick. Barca whitout Eto'o and Liverpool with a good defence, with Hypia and Agger in the field, will be very hard for the home squad to score in the first half! Barca probabily will start this game with one striker Gudjonsson or Saviola, Rjkaard know that if he will recive one gool in this home game, it will be very hard to qualify to the next stage playing on L'pool home field! So i'am going for Barca-Pool X on half time!

If there are 3 overs in a championship league finals in one day I will jump out of my office window which is on the 4th floor.

Some reasoning: Everyone tries not to concede a goal by visiting team. All teams play carefully and defensively. One game can go another way as yesterday with Real - Bayern but all the other games are 0 or 1 goals at most unders. Very good teams good defences a lot of fighting a few chances at goal.

Agreed, even without the reasoning. (Luckily, I work on the first floor.)

I would pick one of those to go over: Lyon-Roma I think.

Team news: Inter vs Valencia
Inter will recall defenders Marco Materazzi and Douglas Maicon, who stayed on the bench during Saturday's 1-0 home win over Cagliari.
Brazilian striker Adriano should be fresh after playing only the final 30 minutes of that game.
Midfielder Patrick Vieira is expected to return from a foot injury.
Valencia keeper Santiago Canizares will be available after missing the Barca match because of flu and is likely to replace Ludovic Butelle.

Inter (-0.5) @ 1.92

Inter in great form should be able to beat Valencia at home, Valencia have not been convincing when away, 4-2-6 9-16. Inter's form and their great capacity is well known by now, and I rank them as a team that could very well win this tournament, but first they have to take care of this leg. Valencia will probably try to get a draw here, but I don't think they can hold off Inter for an entire match, Inter to win the obvious choice this evening.

ReasoningChelsea the obvious favourites to win this quarterfinals. I think they are eager to get a good result in Portugal this time, to get some pressure of the return leg. Porto are ceratianly no mugs and always a very tough opponant in Porto, but they recently losta at home to Estrela Amadora so they can be beaten. Chelsea are in a streak of solid performances both hoe and away, and are starting to look like the winning machine from last year. Chelsea in good form and with lots of experience from these kind of matches are very able to win this one, but the risk for draw make me choose dnb.

Only one game appeals to me tonight and that is Inter vs Valencia. Inter are in a great form atm, winning 15 consecutive games in serie A and breaking all the records and it finally seems that Moratti's desire will come to an end this year. They play just great football and they have a very good team and IMO they are the favs for this year CL.They will also welcome back Adriano and probably Viera, 2 main plyers in attack and midfiled. Valencia on the other hand managed a 2-1 victory vs a Barca team that is not so scarry in Primera as it used to be, a diserved victory nevertheless, they have a good team with Villa, Morientes, canizares and Joaquin but the strenght of Inter should prevail tonight. I'm not expecting a goal bonanza and 1-0 should do the business.

Bet Inter odds 1.9 @ betfair 4/10

Agree, I work on the 1st floor too

I'm taking Roma - Lyon draw at Half time. Seem both teams not scoring at half time in their domestic league for past few matches. Plus yesterday result most team only beef up during 2nd half as they are playing cautious tactic

also going for Barcelona - Liverpool correct score 2-0 with odds 7.5

and Porto - Chelsea correct score 0-1 with odds 6. Chelsea likes to win with 0-1 and 0-2 when playing away. John Terry and Cech is back should be clean sheet.

Inter - Valencia 1 @1.90 Centrebet

I usually don't go so far ahead, but as I think the ods may drop
on this one I decided to take it early.
Inter on an incredible run and since September 27th!!! when they lost 0-2
to Bayern, they are on a 25-4-0 series WOW!!!!!

Valenicia is warm - cold and imo not a real challenge comparing to the great
Inter series. They will still be up in the clouds because of the Barca win on
Sunday, but then this one will follow too soon imo. They lost their two last
road games to Betis & Getafe and those really are not in the Inter league.

To summ up the odds are too good imo to miss them.

6/10

Roma - Lyon 1 @2.65 Cashpoint 5/10

Francescomania... I like these odds just great! Lyon is at the moment
far from the team that earned huge respect in the seasons before.
I was close to winning the pick on Lille in the last FRA 1 round, but a
kinda lucky distance shot brought Lyon back in game in the 80s (min)
and then they turned the game from 1-0 to 2-1. This time I'm sure they
won't get that lucky as Roma is showing some great games in the
"eternal city" or results at least.
Roma will use the home advantage and the odds for that more than
tempting!

5/10

I found the odds @ 7,00 for Liverpool to win and I'll try it. We can hardly see any higher odds in some low divisions games and this is the CL we are talking about. Barca isn't that much better.

So Liverpool @ 7,00 1/10.

ReasoningInter are rolling at the moment with 15 straight Serie A wins. Valencia have difficult tak against this air tight Inter defense which finally compliments their attack. Italian teams usually don't play well against Spanish opposition but Inter is playing perhaps the best football in Europe and they have to be taken at home. Plus Inter needs to get out to a good lead before they gop to the Mestalla which is one of the toughest places to play ina ll of Europe.

ReasoningThe last two CL winners face each other at the Nou Camp. Barca are fielding their best squad tonight and will look to put on a show at home. Liverpool aren't the best travellers and they struglle against teams with flare and teams that control the tempo. The Reds have also had some run ins with the law. Barca will look to take a strong advantage going back to the Merseyside and I expect them to do just that. I also expect the speed of Barca to force a penalty or some dangerous free kicks.

Roma - Lyon

I defended Lyon many times lately, and now I'm gona stick to my opinion and back them in this first match against Roma away.
So to make it short, for me Lyon is not in crisis, and it was normal they slowed down and catched a breath in the league so that they can concentrate fully when CL starts. It's their primary goal this season, and not to win games in their league when they had 20pts advantage over others. Why to push themselves in such condition?
I see them as more experienced between two, their goal is CL this season (yes, the final) and Roma somehow never looks good enough for this level. Plus lately they look a bit tired, while Lyon wasn't at much stress lately at all, they used the period to save energies and not care too much about their domestic leagues. But now it's the time for them to show the real face....
I expect nothing else then a routine win for French team. Important Diego is back in the squad, aswell Jounhino who missed last match with Lille. Roma have my sympathies but my money is on Lyon, betfair @3.35. I expect few goals also so I will LAY Under 1.5 goals, betfair @3.05. GL~GL~

One for the Stattos here tonight and what a stat it is!

Bet365 offer a +1.5 corner asian handicap for Liverpool tonight at the Nou Camp, to be honest I was more interested in a Barca -1.5 corner handicap so decided to check the stats...

Barcelona home and away in both league and europe (when given a -1.5 corner handicap) reads Won 14 and Lost 15, poor odds and was ready to give up the bet.

However, when Liverpool at given a +1.5 corner handicap they win on 38 occassions and lose on 3.

I cannot ignore this statistic and it reflects the aggressive wide play employed by Benitez, hence much running at wing backs, as well as long balls hitting the wings from Gerrard. This odds on this read 1.90 and I will take these gladly.

I'll also be making this bet every Liverpool game this season!

Inter hosting Valencia.
Home side having incredible season this year in Serie A and everything is going fine for them till now.
Thought a lot about this game, and maybe at first wasn't so convinced in Inter winning again, but then I changed my mind and I can't find a reason why they shouldn't win really.
Valencia this year showed weaknesses in away games and I doubt they can manage to stay undefeated in this one. They also had a hard match with Barca last weekend and they lost lot's of energies in that one...
I think Inter should win 2:0 or even 3:0 I dare to say.
My pick is Inter -1EH, Centrebet @3.75. GL~
