Ljungskile have been surprise winners twice in a row now. Tonight they're facing the reigning champions and have their excellent goalie Slawuta suspended. Can they still make it three in a row? I doubt it...

I doubt it too, I still see Ljungskile as a poor team, worst or second worst in the league. Awaywin for me, I'll try IFK -1 @ 2.10. Small stake for me, I need to be careful with my comeback.

LJUNGSKILE-IFK GOTEBORG

Agree with G:G on this one. Ljungskile have done okay so far, winning their last 2 games against Trelleborg away and their previous home game against Elfsborg. But they have lost their other 2 games at home to Helsingborg and Hammarby without scoring. IFK are unbeaten after 6 games, but have drawn all of their 3 away games so far. But I wouldn't say those games have been among the easiest. IFK is a strong team again this season, and I truly believe they will pick up their first away win of the season here. Odds for the AH is still decent enough value for me, straight win at 1,50 is a bit to low.

Score prediction: 0-2

Pick 1: IFK Goteborg -1AH - 1,96 @ Unibet (4/10)

19:00 Ljungskile – IFK Göteborg
Pick: IFK Göteborg to win
Pick: IFK Göteborg (-1) to win

Ljungskile today play against Goteborg. This is very important match for both teams. I have heard that today the stadium will be full (around 5000 fans). Ljungskile is 13th and they have 6 points. They have won 2 matches and lost four. They started this season bed, they lost first 4 matches:
H Hammarby 1-0
A Kalmar 3-1
H Helsingborg 2-0
A Sundsvall 4-0
But after that they won two matches:
H 1-0 Elfsborg
A 2-1 Trelleborg
They really want to win this game today but I dont know can they do it. They are without some players. Michail Slawuta (the first goalkeeper) will not play today. Zarkovic is suspended and Johansson is injured. So they will play with second goalkeeper and this will be his first game for the fisrt team.

Goteborg is 4th and they have 12 points, that is one point less then Djurgarden and Malmo. They play very good at home but they are not so good as away team. As away team they played 3 matches and they play 3 draw. They scored 2 and recieve 2 goals as away team. Their matches this season:
A Malmo 1-1
H Orebro 4-1
A Halmstad 1-1
H Norrkoping 4-0
A GAIS 0-0
H AIK 2-0
So they did not lost any match. matches as away team were very hard because they played against good teams. I heard that many fan of Goteborg (few thousands) will be today on the stadium. They will play
with full team and their player Alexandersson will play again.

Last night was Göteborgs first loss in their last 20 games in Allsvenskan!
The lesson to be learned from this, boys and girls, if of course that you should never ever under any circumstances gamble.

Oh well... here's my take on todays' game:

Elfsborg – Kalmar
Elfsborg to win, 2.60 @ Betsafe (hedging with a small bet on draw)

Always a risk betting against a team on a winning streak like leaders Kalmar (six in a row), but I feel this may be their toughest challenge to date. It’s the first time they’re up against a quality defence. Elfsborg have injuries to several players, most importantly perhaps Finnish midfielder Jari Ilola and defender Martin Andersson, but have played well enough despite this in their last two. Elfsborg are usually good at home on their artificial turf. They haven’t conceded a goal in their first three home games. If they don’t get something from this game, they will be eleven points behind Kalmar.

Not a good start for me. I've had 2 bets so far on this league, and both have been loosers. Hope it will turn around soon.

ELFSBORG-KALMAR FF

I'm gonna go against Elfsborg today. It certainly won't be an easy match for KFF but they look strong but also Elfsborg defence is solid, especially at home on their artificial pitch. Stats don't speak in Kalmar's favour, 1 win in last 6 visits but I feel they could get something out of this match today. Elfsborg have a few injuries and they have found goals hard to come by (7 in 7 games). Kalmar has had a decent fixturelist so far, and this does look like the most difficult game yet. Kalmar certainly know where the goal is, yet both teams have been very solid at the back. I can see this having very few goals (9 of last 12 meetings have gone under) but I'm hoping KFF will nick it 1-0. With a win, they would put much early pressure on Malmo FF and Djurgarden, as they go 9 points clear at the top of the table!

Score prediction: 0-1

Pick 1: Kalmar FF level ball - 2,08 @ Unibet (3/10)

Djurgården - Ljungskile
No play

I don't expect Ljungskile to get anything at all from this game but God knows I've been wrong about them before.

Norrköping - Örebro
No play (I think)

The closest either team will come to a local derby this year. The home teams' best chance to date to win a game but they will have several players missing, particularly in defence. An important attacker is missing in Örebro, but there still might be goals as both teams go for a much needed win. Still thinking about this one...

Göteborg - Sundsvall
Team total Göteborg over 2 (2.02 @ Pinnacle)

I have a feeling Sundsvall will be knocked around a bit today after Göteborgs' humiliating defeat to Ljungskile last week. Göteborg have a goal difference of 10-1 so far in three home games. Sundsvall have conceded at least two in six games or the seven played so far. Pinnacle is the only book I'm aware of that has team totals for Swedish games.

Helsingborg - Malmö
Malmö to win (3.30 @ Bet365)

Another hot local derby - and very good odds for the away team IMO. Malmö have won three straight and played well. Helsingborg would obviously love to beat their local rivals at home. They have some fireworks up front but they appear rather disorganised defensively. History speaks against the over but who knows with these teams?

It looks like a good bet. The one risk I see is that Djurgården have some problems scoring goals right now but against Ljungskile they will surely score. I usually don't do combos myself...
