| IFK Göteborg: Won 1-0 vs Ljungskile in the cup last Saturday. Pontus Wernbloom, Nicklas Carlsson, Mathias Ranégie, Eldin Karisik and Daniel Alexandersson injured, but only attacker Wernbloom can be considered as a player from the starting line up. good news is that Swedish international Niklas Alexandersson is back and maybe ready to start. Trelleborgs FF: Max Fuxberg, Kristian Haynes, Fisnik Shala, Erik Sundin, Micke Bengtsson and Mattias Nylund injured, Haynes and Sundin are important midfielders, Bengtsson and Nylund important defenders. Two matches before the restart: Draw vs Gais and lost to Kalmar FF. This looks like homewin all the way, but odds are low and I don't think I dare with Göteborg -1 or 1.25, they looked really toothless vs Ljungskile.

| Halmstads BK - Hammarby It is a sad truth that swedish club football has started to have a difficult time competing with even leagues that used to be on the same level, the fact that Halmstad now have sold their best midfielder from this season in Martin Fribrock to danish club Esbjerg is clear evidence of this. They have stated that they will not replace him with anything from the transfer market but will continue to use the players already within their squad, his six assists and two goals before the summer break tells of the quality that will be missing from Halmstad now. Their dutch midfielder Prent is doubtful for this match and probably they will have to rely much on young Raskaj for creativity from midfield, he is very uneven in form but has some potential. Hammarby made a terrific turnaround and won 3-2 away to Malmö in the cup last week after being 2-0 down, they are suffering from several defensive missings however and it showed in the cup match. Central defender Montéiro is suspended, Saarenpää, Sleyman and David Johansson are still rehabilitating while Traoré has a chance of starting if he passed match fitness. All of these players would have had a good chance of being in the regular defensive line when fit. The form of attacking players Petter Andersson, Paulinho and Zengin is looking strong for the visitors however. Halmstad are a strong home side but I wouldn't bet on them without a reservation for a draw, perhaps there is a good chance of a few goals scored with the squad situation in Hammarby and good form of Anselmo at Halmstad before the break. Pick: Over 2.5 goals, 2.00 @ Nordicbet, Stake 5/10 |

| Helsingborgs IF v GAIS Helsingborgs team (from HIF official site) : Gkp.: Daniel Andersson, Oscar Berglund Def.: Erik Wahlstedt, Andreas Landgren, Marcus's Nilsson, Joel Ekstrand, Adama Tamboura Midf.: Christoffer Andersson, Marcus Lantz, Mattias Unkuri, Isaac Chansa, Fredrik Svanbäck, René Makondele, Martin Kolár Strik.: Henrik Larsson, Rasmus Jönsson, Fredrik Olsson Out : Razak Omotoyossi (Strik., 10 matchs, 2 goals), Andreas Granqvist (Def., 11 matchs, 1 goal), Oskar Rönningberg (Def., never played), Olafur Skulason (Midf., 4 matchs). GAIS team (from Svenskafans) : Gkp.: Dime Jankulovski Def. & Midf.: David Durmaz, Andreas Tobiasson, Kenneth Gustafsson, Bobbie Friberg da Cruz, Eyjolfur Hedinsson, Fredrik Lundgren, Levon Pachajyan, Wanderson do Carmo, Daniel Nicklasson, Johann Gudmundsson, Strik.: Daniel Moraís Reis Haven't see any missing in GAIS team. Small 'new look' home team with reorganization in Helsingborg's midfield/attack since Omotoyossi is out (see http://www.svenskafans.com/fotboll/a....asp?id=243803). Of course, hope Helsingborg will succeed in taking all points, they are big favourite. GAIS is not to underestimate, even after tables study, they draw in Malmö, Halmstads and Djurgarden before the pause. But, in Olympia, very hard and tough task for away team it seems, Helsingborg is always with no defeat at all in home table. Pick : Helsingborgs @ 1.60 (Expekt) (7/10) Last edited by Gandalf; 03-07-2008 at 20:07. |
