I feel a 'lay' of GAIS maybe called for rather than the straight Halmstad win. Perhaps I'm being abit pessimistic but looking at the team news reminded me of last night's game between Altrincham v Forest Green in the English Conference. Altrincham were missing a large number of players but still fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

Helsingborg vs Gefle
Pick: Gefle AHO (and maybe in ML too), under 2.5 goals

Estimates:
Gefle over 20% win%, total goals 1.95,
AHO +0.5@2,00, +0.75@1,75, +1.00@1,50
under 2.5 @1,82

Reasoning:
Both at the mid-tabel with similar overall and recent form.

HIF one of the best teams at home, plays really consistent against top teams but has a tendency to let up when playing against an inferior team.

They score a lot of goals (home) but concede quite a lot too. Now they have problems in attack as two of their strikers (Luton Shelton and Gustaf Andersson) are out of play. A lot resides on Henke Larsson, who we know can deliver. But if he can't fill up the local expectations... A player in top form doesn't usually get in fist-fights and be suspended for two games as he did earlier.

Eldin Karisik (midfielder) and Adama Tamboura (defender) will be added up to the squad.

The new coach (Stuart Baxter) did inject energy to the team and highten their motivation but it starts to wear off gradually and the last away draw with a mediocre Halmstad (1-1) was a downer after a decent performance at home against MFF (3-1 victory).

Gefle is filled with self-esteem and highly motivated to improve their rather sluggish away performances. A 1-1 home draw against the top Elfsborg team is a boost all the way. In addition to that they missed a penalty in the dying minutes. Some energy will surely be drained as they had to fight all the way thru the match.

They have problems scoring away and can't always defend as they should. Still they have recently racked in more points in their travels than at home (8 games home for 10 pts, 8 away for 14, HIF: 17/12). They will surely be going in with a defensive mind-set as they too are out of one of the best strikers Makondele (suspended) although Daniel Westin will be fit to play in this one. Makondele had an awful night with Elfsborg being warned and missing the winning penalty kick.

Mutual confrontations have been tight affairs (06: Gefle-HIF 1-0, 05: HIF-Gefle 2-1, Gefle-HIF 1-2) and with both sides missing their strikers there will be even less scoring opportunities.

Although HIF is the better team (specially @home) the odds presented both in AHO and ML are too good to pass by as you need only to hit 2/10 of these kind of bets to show profit.

Cleaned.

what about Hacken - Elfsborg ?

I think it's important and good chance to close to Allsvenskan leader for ELFSBORG..

Especially ELFSBORG has no win their last 3 away matches.. and I think It's time to win away for ELFSBORG..

ORGRYTE v OSTERS

Great win for Orgryte against Goteborg some days ago: 3-2 the final result. Orgryte is now 12th in the table with 14 points while Osters is last with 10 points. A win agaisnt Osters would mean a further advantage for Orgryte over his direct rivals for the relegation: Osters and Hacken. Hacken lost yesterday against Elfsborg (1-4). In the last four games played between the two teams Orgryte won and drew twice: 3-0, 1-1, 4-4 and 4-2. Osters has lost all of his last five away games: 2-0, 2-0, 1-0, 5-1 and 3-0 are the bad results obtained. Pick: Orgryte

just saw that Kalmar rarely even score against Malmo - goal difference is 13-2 for Malmo in last 10 meetings

which means this is likely under 2.5 match, but I rarely bet on this so I'll forget about this one

Malmö - Kalmar
After Malmo suffering a painful blow against Djurgarden at Malmö Stadium on saturday they find themselves many many points behind the top teams. For this match they will not only miss Christian Järdler who has had a good season as left defender but also central defender Gabriel. Gabriel has been somewhat uneven since arriving to Malmö but at the same time several opponents have successfully shown the major weakness of Olof Persson, his total lack of speed. Today Person will play with Daniel Andersson in central defence with Anders Andersson back in midfield (good!!). So what about the game? Well I would say Malmo have a good chance of grabbing three points against Kalmar who will eventually suffer a loss, but at the same time I cannot guarantee anything. 1.93 is given for Malmo victory but I I think that is too low. Will probably stay away from the game!

Being a MFF fan I can't keep my fingers away from the game so I will however put my standard bet this season (since summer at least) 5 points on Junior as First Scorer and 5 points on Jonathan Johansson as first scorer.

Two bets, little time so only wrote very basic previews

Sport Football (Sweden)
Event Malmö FF - Kalmar FF
Selection Malmö FF
Strength 10/10
Date 21/09/2006
Bookmaker/Price Centrebet @ 1.95 (Back)
Reasoning Malmö FF - Kalmar FF
Sweden, Allsvenskan 2006

Kalmar are no mugs but they have not the class of Malmö and I expect Malmö to find some form soon and start by winning this game.

Anders Andersson and Pode return today with Litmanen continuing behind the lethal front pair.

Home win 10/10

Sport Football (Sweden)
Event Örgryte IS - Östers IF Växjö
Selection Örgryte
Strength 10/10
Date 21/09/2006
Bookmaker/Price Blue Square @ 1.80 (Back)
Reasoning Örgryte IS - Östers IF Växjö
Sweden, Allsvenskan 2006

Agree with JerryDrake on this bet also, Örgryte are in good form and several of there best players are on top of their game including soon to leave forward Almeida and playmaker forward Toivonen.

Östers have 3 or 4 missing for todays game and are a weak side in any accord.

Home win 10/10

Games just kicking off and Hammarby will very much miss Max in defence and Jeffrey in midfield, I went X2 on IFK but only small.
