| Odd Grenland - Bryne Both teams were in action earlier in the week in cup-clashes versus 2nd division teams. Odd won comfortably against Vindbjart (I thought otherwise) while Bryne had to fight harder for their victory, winning 3-1 against Floy. Odd is well ahead the other teams in the race for promotion, a thing that not surprise me at all looking at their squad. They have managed to keep almost all players since they relegated in play-off facing Bodø/Glimt. Since the beginning of this season it has been clearer and clearer that they don`t belong in the Adeccoleague especially when they perform like they do. 8-0-1 is their stat in total so far and most of the wins there have been no discussion about. The only loss came away against their hardest competitor away, Start loosing 1-0. A game which easily could have gone both ways. Earlier in the week they rested key players, which means they are ready for tomorrows clash. No major injuries to take notice of means that Odd is more dangerous than ever. Bryne on the other hand started badly, but has picked up form by winning their last 5 matches. 4 of them has been 1-0 victories, which actually tells alot about their system of play. Still, it is defintely worth mentioning that their opposition those 5 games have not been the best. Placed 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th and last is the fact. Also 9th placed Løv/Ham had lost two in a row before they met Bryne last match. They have a near full squad to pick from, only some minor injuries to talk about, but they will field approximately the same starters as last match. Odd has a real opportunity getting some more distance between themselves and the ones who chase them. Bryne has an ok+ squad, but still there is a big difference between those who will be out there tomorrow. They are up for their biggest test so far this season and I don`t think they will be able to handle the quality-filled Odd team. A definite value in the asian, very much for my likings... | Tomorrow match-ups consists of many probable close encounters, hence the even odds. Sensing some draws coming, in which I never bet on myself, too many variables to rely on for my sake. The write-ups from my side will be with low stakes knowing the teams and H2H based on the fact that the division is tight except from a few teams that have showed clear trends one way or the other... |

| Seems like the mods fixed the little problem... This weekend there is fantastic weather in Norway, me sitting in the sun writing this!![]() The backside with the nice weather is poorly updated local news and teams homepages. My initial thoughts will therefore be placed with low stakes, knowing not enough info is collected... ![]() Alta - Nybergsund The home team is in a must-win situation these days. When they now face a team only one point ahead of them (14th of 16) it is quite clear what todays mission will be. Alta relies on getting as much ponits as possible at their own ground. That has not been the situation so far, going 1-0-3. It has been alot of rumours about internal problems in the squad, players have spoken loud about the tactital choices by the coach, and how he uses his players. On tuesday it changed rapidly when beating Tromsdalen 6-2 in the cup. A strong win for a struggling team. As far as I know there are no injury worries in the team and their new signings Alassane and Idris are starting to get into form. Nybergsund on the other hand went out of the cup loosing 2-1 against Manglerud Star, a game that was reported pretty even, but with some advantage for Manglerud. Form-wise they have struggled somewhat, but they came up strong in their last encounter winning 3-2 away against Sandnes/Ulf, still it was a lucky one knowing that they were pressured hard, but countered well. Prior to that game, they had lost 3 away games in a row, having a total of 1-0-3. I do not have any squad news, but up-swing in form and morale makes me believe in Alta today, seeing value in the odds... Alta, 2.40 @betsson 2/10 Last edited by kimera; 08-06-2008 at 11:35. |

| Kongsvinger - Sogndal Kongsvinger is placed last in the league and are without a win so far, going 0-4-5 in total. That being said, they have been rather unlucky in many matches where they have played pretty well. Strong results like 1-1 away against Moss and 2-2 at home against Haugesund the last two matches makes me believe that the 1st win is close by. After signing centre-back Jonas Johansen and winger Olav Tuelo Johanssen their attitude have been increasing. Today they will also welcome back midfielder Patrick Holtet who was rested in the cup-match versus Lørenskog, a game they won in extra-time by the way. Not a good sign, but reports from the game says they played good. Sogndal are having some issues by themself. A normally good team when looking at their roster, but they seem to not get it together. The result being talks about firing their coach Emberland, supporters thinking that he don`t have what it takes to make the team play better. Also their key striker, Håvard Flo, has been in total out of form and it is speculated that he will be benched today. Form-wise, only one victory the last seven matches is poor, and considering the lone win came against a very poor Alta at the time it does not look better. In the cup, earlier this week, they had to fight hard to get into extra-time against Skarbøvik. They netted 5! times in the extras, but the main reason was the tiredness from Skarbøviks amateur players. Sadly I don`t know much about which eleven they will field today, but for me it looks like it could be anyone, knowing they don`t work as a team as they should. H2H is 7-3-2 in favour of Kongsvinger. That and the uprise in form compared to Sogndals problems makes me go for the homewin, with good value as I can see it... Kongsvinger, 2.55 @expekt 3/10 |

| Alta - Nybergsund 1-2 bet lost... Kongsvinger - Sogndal 4-3 bet won... As a curiosity I can mention that 4 out of 7 matches in the Adeccoleague ended with draws, knowing I never bet on clean draws is kind of regrettable... |
