Start - Hønefoss

The nearly already promoted Start had some problems in their last match when facing a rejuvenated Kongsvinger away. They led 2-0 before the relegation fighters came back and secured a draw. Most people expected an easy win for them, but it did not happen. It was their 2nd match without key midfielder Fredrik Strømstad, which left for Le Mans. He was a big loss for the team being both the fighting and creative source for them. Since them two new players became ready for todays clash. Owello, a highly talented midfielder from Nigeria and Radonjic, a striker with much potential. Everybody thought he would leave for a higher level team when he decided to leave his team OB in Denmark. Both will make an impact in an already strong squad which need to keep things intact and not fall into a "secure-mode" knowing that Sandefjord and their opposition today, Hønefoss, is fighting hard to reach them. Their form at home at home has not been the best the last two (0-1-1), hence the importance of getting a good result today. Being 6 pts. behind Start before the game it shows how important this match is for both teams playing. Still, Hønefoss has surprised me so far this season with pretty solid play, going 4-0-1 the last 5. That being said, all 4 wins came against weaker teams (Alta, Sparta, Hødd, and Kongsvinger). Today, though 3 key players are out, centre-backs Ellefsen and Ueland are out while striker Lars Lafton struggles with a pulled muscle. He is highly doubtful, and if he plays it will not be at 100%. Start need this victory to get some space from the other chasers, and doing it against one of them should not be a big issue, especially when their squad should be much better than the visitors, and that is without their new signings...
