Going to shoot for my championship winning side today, really should not in this warm up cup but hard to resist. Jaro are a weak outfit and even indoors I expect TamU to do well as look at what should be another title in 2007!

Reasoning	FF Jaro - Tampere United Finland, Liiga Cup 2007 The new 2007 season is approaching and I feel it is time to test the water with small stakes on the stronger sides as they start to settle. At the moment all teams here in this cup play for practice more than anything and many players are well short of fitness. Also with the weather still variable many games are played in doors, like this one. I made minus figures start to 2005 & 2006 seasons chasing this cup so we must play with caution. Last term Jaro were so close to relegation and this term may look at more of the same situations, from a football view point only KuPS letting themselves down and the Allianssi fiasco saved Jaro so improvements must be made. Jaro ended 3/3/6 at home whilst TamU, champions in 2006 ended 9/0/3 away. There is a reasonable gap in abilities between the two sides but as ever in Finland its not so big you can be sure of a result like other leagues to a degree. TamU have won the last 3 league visits to Jaro and when last meeting in the cup ran outright 3-0 winners. This match will be played inside Staden Jakobstad, Tellushalli. a third gen artificial indoor arena used by the reserves of Jaro. Jakobstad is not too far north of Tampere and the artificial pitch should not advantage either team greatly as both teams have trained on these type pitches. In team news Jaro will use much the same squad as used against TPS which ended in a credible win with 2 goals from Jussi Roiko. Only defender Vesa Heikinheimo is certain to miss out from the side that beat TPS. Other missing include ex TamU winger Toni Junnila, Daniel Fellman, Antti-Jussi Karnio and Jesper Törnqvist. In the break Mikko Paatelainen & Jani Sarajärvi moved to TPS, Ville Väisänen moved out of the country to play in the UK whilst Jaakko Isteri has left the club. Tampere have a few missings to contend with but most are not new to the 2007 season, Antti Pohja (back from HJK), Henri Myntti, Sakari Saarinen & Jussi-Pekka Savolainen are all certain to miss out and we will be hopeful that Jari Niemi can play after a thigh injury. I can not see an easy game ion the indoor pitch but TamU have the stronger players and after a convincing 4-0 win in their opening game should look to continue this today. Small stakes only as this will not be a clear cut game as with ANY league cup game. All my luck CS 1-2

Tough call as with all these *practice* matches - Haka squad looks dangerous with attacking formation. Maybe Haka and >2.5 but I would only risk 1/2 units.
