Pick: Cracovia (-0.5)

Odds: 1.96

Second round of Polish Ekstraklasa and very interesting game in Krakow where Cracovia will play against newcomer Ruch Chorzow. Last week Cracovia lost 0:1 on away game with Legia and Ruch made biggest upset of first round beating Groclin, Polish Cup winners, on their own field 4:1. First game of season for Cracovia was like two different games. During first half they were scared and not able to do anything. But in the second they played very good offensive game and with a but of luck they would score equalizer. Cracovia showed some good defence and Legia had really hard times to create any good chances. They were also missing key defender and few midfielders so today they should play much better from the beginning.
Ruch didn't gave much chances to Groclin winning 4:1. It's very impressive but in fact all goals were due to poor plays of

Groclin reserve defenders. Not always teams will give such opportunities to Ruch. Today they will have to handle solid defence and I can't see that Ruch will surprise everybody twice in a row. Even during that high winning game Ruch was not the side that was controlling the game. So result can be misleading. If Cracovia won't give them any field gifts at the beginning it will be very hard for them.

Game will be played without fans so there won't be support for Cracovia. But I see them as better team today. There is worth to note few things. Both teams played eatch other twice during pre-season. One game won by Ruch 2:1 and one by Cracovia 2:0. And last year Cracovia was also playing in second round against newcomer which beat on first round one of the top teams in the league. That game ended in win of Cracovia 5:0. I'm not expecting so high scoring game today but they should be able to win it and get 3 points on their own field.

Odra - Zaglebie Sosnowiec

Pick: Odra (-0.5)

Odds: 1.93

Don't have much time so very quickly. Everyon expected last week that Odra would beat LKS, which is having huge problems with their squad. Instead of that we had thrilled game with two late goals for Odra which gave them draw. Today they should play much better. Coach was saying that their goal for first 3 games is 7 points so it's time to grab a winner. Odra Coach should know now what should be done better to improve their game. Team will be able to count on key defender who will be back after suspension.

Zaglebie lost last week in Poznan with Lech 2:4 scoring two goals in last minutes of game when Lech players lost their concentration. Team also lost two important players during pre-season because they didn't accept their new contract offers. Also coach is not very experienced. He is expecting his team to play offensive, combination game. But this require time and proper players.

Important fact for game should be that Zaglebie will be relegated after season, regardless of their result, one league lower and now they have -4 points. It will be very hard for them to find concentration on field. I'm not expecting easy winner today but still a winner for Odra.

Gornik Zabrze - Legia

Pick: Under 2.5

Odds: 1.83

Last game of Polish Orange Ekstraklasa this round. 3rd team of last season is visiting Gornik Zabrze. For home team, Gornik, it will be start of new season. A lot of things happen lately in the club. First of all finally they have serious investment company, Allianz, and long term goal is to win Polish Championship in 2012, improve by then new stadium and first of all, create team that will be serious contender to title every year. Club made some interesting transfers. After many years we will see comeback of defender Tomasz Hajto, also Jerzy Brzeczek, creative midfielder, will play for them. Also few other interesting players joined Gornik. They have interesting team now which should be in the middle of the table after the season. For sure they won't fight to avoid relegation till last game like last year.

Legia last week won 1:0 with Cracovia. It was very strange game and I already wrote few words about it. Problem of Legia is that they lost many quality players before season and it's still not sure how that new team will handle high expectations of fans. Legia Coach likes to secure backs so I don't expect his team to play offensive ball tonight. Team needs still to learn how to play now so we can expect something like last week - low scoring game but today with defence as top priority.

It is expected that in Zabrze there will be 15,000 fans and they will try for sure help their players. But I don't know what we can exactly expect from teams. Any final result is possible for me (win or draw) so I'm taking risk with under play as it is something that I have best feeling here. Legia didn't score much in last games including pre-season (1:0, 0:0, 0:0). Last few games between those teams in Zabrze also ended up with under (1:0, 0:1, 0:0). So this is play worth of risk for me.

Very unlucky.... but still profitable weekend: 2-1. Including 2nd league it gives 7-2. Almost perfect. See ya next round.
