EWC (VI) was revolutionary, largely because of the biggest rule change in ages - home advantage in the group stage. This will later be developed even further, but it all started in this version, so it will go down on record. For the 2nd straight competition, the defending champion finished as runner up, Jockprop putting up one hell of a fight in defence of his crown. But the real headline maker was Fischer, who won the title and also the KO Cup.
