ODM, there is a train that goes right into the course, the "Paddy Power" express I think. It costs an arm and a leg and is a speciality option. Stick to the basics mate

The Friday is now sold out according to the BBC website and others are going fast.

All 50,000 tickets for the first Cheltenham Gold Cup to be run on a Friday have been sold.

The big race is switching from its traditional slot as the National Hunt Festival is extended from three to four days.

Critics of the move say the course is cashing in on demand from punters.

But organisers have pledged the Festival, which takes place from 14 to 18 March, will be packed with top-quality action on all four days.

Triple champion Best Mate is set to bid for a fourth Gold Cup win on the trot, but is due to renew rivalry with his recent Irish conqueror Beef or Salmon. Badges are still available for the other three days, although tickets are reported to be selling fast.

I've got my ticket and a decent wallet put by, Cheltenham on the Tuesday and then off to Liverpool v Everton (possibly a massive CL qualifer, has to be the biggest game between the two in many a year) on the Sunday...does life get any better

..i think not

For anybody toying with the idea of going, according to the official website there are still tickets available for every day barr Gold Cup day (Friday). Obviously though the above list of guys are all going on the Tuesday.

It`s only 3 weeks on Tuesday so come on chaps !

I've found a lift

Leaving with 26 other punters from Malvern at 8.15. We're stopping at Tewksbury (about 9 ish) for a fry up and a pint.. sorted...all for a tenner with transport included

We'll be in Cheltenham around opening time, i'll have a couple but i'm not getting lashed as i want to enjoy the racing, i'll wait till later for that.

Be good if i can meet you all for a bevvy though (and to pinch Onedun's tips)
