Another great time for everyone. The most amazing thing is that over the event, nobody lost their rag.It was like a meeting a load of mates you had known for years, except that not many people have around 40 good mates.

Thanks must go to Paul for the arrangements and and money supply!

Just a wonderful escape from the humdrum of daily life,a bit like a birthday when you were a kid.

I may have only been there for the day and not stopped over, but fcuk me, what a day!

I got up at 6am on Friday morning thinking what the fcuk am I doing , out on the piss with a group of people I'd never met before - this could turn out to be a big mistake but how wrong I was - you are all a superb bunch (except loud mouth Kev only joking, mate!).

Got to Blackburn train station and met Carl & Tez - I then had to endure an hour and half of Tez telling me "nap" this and "that'll win" but luckily for me, I took it all in and ended up with a mountain of winners. Got to Leeds and went in Subway for a coffee and bacon sarni. Then off to the hotel where I met the next PL pissheads - PR, Big Gaz & Aliando. So far, I'm thinking "this is ok, they all seem relatively normal" but then.........the lift doors open and out falls KOTP shouting "Awrite mate" and Gripper both absolutely arseholed from the night before followed by "Wanshoo" (I thought he was the PL martial arts expert with a name like that) but it turned out to be Jeffers. There was massive sympathy for him - "fcukin get up, you pussy" was the typical comment . More pissheads followed including probably the most drunk person I have ever seen.....yes, its you, Meatman! Then came a bit of normality....Pene and Pocketlady.

Everyone went to get ready except KOTP and Gripper who took Jeffers to the hospital.....pissing myself laughing when Big Gaz got the call saying Jeffers had broke his leg (or ankle)...not sure which but was still fcukin hilarious. Carl, Tez & I then went to the pub for a couple of early scoops....whilst looking for a pub, Tez said "there's a pub there, I can smell it" so we walked quarter of a mile only to find it was fcukin closed down . Back to the hotel and on the coach to York, highlight of which was the coach driver falling asleep at the wheel and Gripper having to wake him up

Into the races....several beers here and several winners including Gilded, Collateral Damage, Swan Queen and Peppertree Lane. Thanks to all the lads for the superb tips - £250 up!

It was then coach back to Leeds but after collecting on the last race, I couldn't find anyone...I walked up & down the Knavesmire until finally I heard to pissed up tones of Aliando. Cheers mate . Jeffers was seriously struggling by this time and he jumped on my back for a piggy back to the coach (fat bastard, Jeffers ) only for Carl to jump on too, bringing Jeffers down with a bang!

I nearly committed suicide on the way back having to listen to Kev constantly going on at me.....fcuk me, does that guy never shut up . Big Gaz tried to lock me in the toilets...cheers Gaz - at least I was away from Kev . Back at the hotel and a few more beers before deciding to go for the train back to Blackburn. By the time I had said my goodbyes, I realised it was too late for the 8.50 train so I decided to hang on and go for the 9.50 train. Polished off the buffet (cheers PR) and said my goodbyes again before leaving the biggest bunch of pissheads ever (poor girl who had to serve you lot all night )

At the station but, shit, bad news to come. The last train back to Blackburn was the 8.50 so me thinking I'd catch the later one was one almighty mistake. What the fcuk was I to do now The only option was to catch a train to Mcr Piccadilly and then train from Mcr to Blackburn....no problems I thought BUT......I fell asleep only to be woken up by an inspector at 11.15pm at Mcr fcukin AIRPORT....oh shit I asked the inspector for help but he told me I was fcuked! I got a train to Mcr centre, train then to Bolton, walked for fcukin miles to find a taxi and then got a taxi back to B'burn, finally getting home at about 2am - a 1 hour journey taking me over 4 hours

On top of this, there was Uri Geller (aka Sparti) but we've all read enough about him

A big thanks to everyone for making it a truely fantastic day and, special thanks to PR for organising such a great day . I can't remember everyones name so apologies if you're not mentioned but it's probably 'cos I was soooo pissed.

PR - thanks for such a great day. Genuinely nice bloke and hope to see you again soon.
Carl - never stops or shuts up. PL legend as 14000 posts indicates. Only person in the world to have England flag on the back of his head done by a "felt tip" . Thanks for making me feel so welcome, cheers mate
Tez - Mr Horse Racing. There were times I was willing him to be quiet for a minute but thank god he didn't. Provided us all with several winners. BTW the Doumen horse we were trying to remember on the train was L'Ami.
Big Gaz - Fcukin big! Funny as fcuk, I never stopped laughing when in his company.
Gripper - Mr Sympathy...not . Famous for his rendition of "who's the one shoe over there, who's the one shoe, etc". Top lad.
Aliando - Knows fcuk all about horse racing yet wins the DHRC and Cup. Pleasure meeting you and well done with the Poker
Jeffers - Cracking lad (no pun intended). Enjoyed your company, mate. Hope you're back on 2 feet soon
Paul M - Seemed remarkably sober all day. Very genuine and again made me feel part of the PL.
Kev - Shut up Kev just for a minute. . Top personality!
Meatman - Pissed as fcuk. Couldn't hold a proper conversation as too pissed. Super lad!
KOTP - as per Meatman, "awrite mate"
Penelopeys - our danish beauty. V intelligent lady (although you wouldn't think so coming out on the piss with this lot ). Hope to see you again soon.
Pocket Lady - So friendly and welcoming. Look forward to seeing you at the next one.
Mr V - Can't remember chatting with you much as PLady had you running all over the place putting her bets on
Osesame - Lovely chap although fcuk knows what he thinks of me.

Other top people I met include Morlspin, Punto, KSportz, Runadrum ....sure I've forgot some but, sorry, can't remember!
Cheers people and see you at the next one

Friday (and Saturday)

Had a dodgy tummy so I stayed sober all day, and how glad I am that I did, cos Friday didn't finish til 9.30am Saturday morning! Had another top day at the races with tips supplied by Carl and Tez, who did us proud again with another treble.

Walking back to the coach I looked behind to see RussP was giving Jeffers a piggy-back. Turned around to see Dave had mounted a wooden fence and was doing a passable impersonation of Frankie Dettori. I doubt it, but I hope someone got that on camera as it had me in bits!

Back at the hotel there were more new people to meet including Runadrum, AvonGirl, Norfolk, TypicalLeedsFan, Ksportz, Ronay, Penguin and Mrs. Had a sitdown and was just starting to socialise when I realised someone was supposed to have set up a poker tourney. Couldn't see Gaf anywhere so me PR and Sam got it sorted, and a big thank you to everyone who donated their chipsets for the evening.

Stood talking to the Bar Manager who said, "You should have mentioned you were playing poker, I could have got you some dealers...." D'oh! Anyway we all mucked in and got through it pretty much without any arguments. Thank you all.

Paul Ross got the biggest cheer of the night when Gripper(?) knocked him out, and I certainly owe Rosco for bluffing me off the pot then showing me he had f-all.

The final table consisted of;

Myself
Aliando
Morlspin
Gripper
Carl
Pene
Norfolk
Rosco
Ronay and
RobbieMorl

I certainly think that anyone was capable of winning at that stage, although Gripper was looking favourite. I'm sorry for the lack of a full report, but I can only remember a couple of hands that I was involved in. My all in with 10 10 that was called by Aliando's(?) AJo who hit a J on the flop, only for me to hit trips on the turn (phew!). Me pinching Ali's BB with 72off suit , and picking up A6 in mid position with six people left which I folded to a re-raise, only to discover I'd have won the pot.

The result of the MTT was;

1st - Aliando*
2nd - Morlspin*
3rd - Ronay
4th - Gripper
5th - Me

*1st and 2nd prize were shared, and then they played on after to see who was the champ .

Anyway, as the MTT was approaching the end more and more people were playing STT's and we had pretty much 2 tables going for most of the night. At one stage Aliando walked out towards the bar and came back with a box of Frosites laughing his tits off, sat down at the table and started munching on them.

At 6am we had a choice, knock the poker on the head, or have one more game before breakfast, which we did. Then it was upstairs for a quick wash, get packed then back down for breakfast. Where I was in hysterics for most of the time purely because Aliando 'out-jeffered' Jeffers who was sat there with a bemused look on his face saying, "I can't take this anymore". The situation was just made funnier and funnier as each person came down for breakfast wondering what on earth was going on!

I had one of the most enjoyable times of my life in London and Sandown, but this was twice as good. How these get togethers keep getting better and better is beyond me, but a big, big thank you to Paul for doing another fantastic job of pulling it together, and to everyone who played their part in making it so memorable. Pic's to follow.

PUNTERSLOUNGE MEMBERS I love you all!!

Well here is my little bit.
BIG THANKS to P.Ross as usual done us proud AGAIN.(sorry shouting again)
I arrived 15mins before coach was due to leave for York.

Seriously he mingled in as if he knew everyone from past.(great bloke)
Aliando, well this is the white Ali G (very funny man) really enjoyed himself.
And to boot beats us at poker with a bag on his head.
Again another P/L great man.
Poor Gripper, was well done in on the friday. it catches up with us all eventually.

Paul Ross - thanks for setting all this up etc, fcuking top man as well

Jeffers - hats off to him for keeping going for bloody ages. Great guy and was a pleasure meeting him again. So many memories, probably the best one was when we were both crawling around on the 5th floor corridor nearly getting kicked out the hotel.

Kotp - legendary as usual. All I will say is ‘how dya like ya flowers’

Gripper - was nearly as fcuked as I was for most of the time, superb guy doing brill to keep going so long

Big Gaz - top man and was great meeting him again

Carl & Tez - two absolute legends. Cheers for all those winners

Russ P - I was in a bad state for most of my conversations with him but was top company.

Aliando - really enjoyed meeting him and having a few cracking chats, kept me in the hotel on Thursday night by getting me into my room

Kevsul - mad as usual and a top guy

Valiant & Pocket lady - pleasure meeting them again, tequila’s fcuked Andy up as well

Osesame - I remember having a right conversation with him on the Thursday night. Total PL legend

Kevshat - hadn’t met him before and we got on really well. Offered odds on absolutely everything

Cavelloman - had some great betting conversations with him

Penelopeys - a true beauty. Really enjoyed meeting her and she’s a top lass. Had a great breakfast conversation one morning.

There were many others, such as the poker crew that I didn’t get to talk op as much as I’d liked. A couple that stood out were Pauline and Robbie. Morlspin, Runadrum, Avongirl, Ksportz, Laidbackbloke, it was a pleasure meeting you all.

Sorry for any others that I’ve forgot. All I will say is that the whole of the PL were simply superb company

I really am looking forward to the next meeting

It's right though that we did meet some P/L legends, each and everyone of you made us feel more than welcome and felt very at ease in your company, a great set of folk

So thanks to PR and all who made it possible

Btw mrs penguin has now started playing for fun on the pc and reckons she will be a force to reckon with at the next live event

Good to hear mate, and yes you certainly was a little worse for the ale you consumed.

And we will have to keep an eye out for your missus.
you might have to get 2 P.C's now unless you already have

Nice to meet you both, Glad you had a great time.
