Sorry to hear that mate I hope she makes a speedy recovery

It would have been good to meet you and Tulenos at York, but maybe it'll happen next time

Yeah, we'll meet in one of the bars in the hotel, (PM me for my mobile number then you'll know where we are ) we go bowling (just over the road) at 7:45pm, start at 8pm.

Rest assured, there will be "early jars".

Dress Code:

Dress
There is no dress code but for the May and Ebor Meetings generally people dress up. Racegoers are required to dress decently

I'll put all the details in full and simple english shortly so everyone knows what the times of things are etc...

i'm picking chala up in bristol at 1pm and then coming up - hope to be at the hotel around 4pm-ish .

unfortunately dac is unable to make the trip now , so if anyone wants picking up between bridgend and leeds on route, let me know (I'll be back online after work tomorrow night.)

also, i'll have room in my car going from leeds to newcastle on the satday, so let me know if anyone wants a lift for that journey

pm me and I'll take any passengers on a first come first served basis if anyone needs a lift

Weekend Info & Itinerary

Hotel: The Merrion Centre, Wade Lane, Leeds, LS2 8NH - 0113 243 9191
Rooms: All booked under your own personal name, not PL.
Check in: 2pm
Check out: Whenever you want, bill will be paid by PL, they know this already.

Thursday:

I'll arrive with a few other loons at about 1:30pm into Leeds station, quick check in, then we hit the bar, think they have 2 bars, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell which we're in.

8pm

AMF Bowling

We start bowling just across from the hotel, it's not the trocadero, but hey you can't have everything.

Teams to come.

After that, who knows what's gonna happen, don't ask me!

Friday:

11:30am: Coach leaves Merrion Hotel for York racecourse and will arrive around 12:15pm.

York Races:

Tickets: I'll leave these wherever the guys at the gate say is the usual place, that's if you're meeting at the course.

Dress Code:

There is no dress code but for the May and Ebor Meetings generally people dress up. Racegoers are required to dress decently. (From their website)

Bit in the middle: We all get alarmingly drunk and rely on Tez to come up with some profit from the horses.

6pm

Coach leaves York racecourse and heads back to Merrion Hotel.

7pm

We've hired "The Beaumont Room" out for a poker night. Some of you will disappear into town probably, but quite a lot playing.

There will be a bar and a finger buffet also in the room, drinks will again be paid for by PL.

8pm

Poker starts, we'll wait a little for any latecomers though.

Who knows how long the poker will last, but there is one very important thing you must all be aware of if playing in the poker.

You must not put money on the table or it could all end right there and then as the hotel doesn't have a licence to cover it. We'll deal with the money discreetly on each table.

Poker Setup:

Based on 25 players:

Starting Stacks: 3000
Blinds: 25/50 (Based on the chips we have) raised every 20 minutes.
Buyin: £10
Start Time: 8pm (ish)

Saturday:

Most go home to rest, but quite a few loons, me included are going to Newcastle for another poker night!

Sunday:

I'll deal with that when it arrives, if I'm still alive.

Ok, can someone put the numbers 1-17 in a mixed up order for the bowling teams. ie

17
2
4
etc..

Of the players that were there last time, I think these 3 were highest, so they're separated as seeds. The rest go in on display of the numbers 1-17.
