just realised last time AvonGirl and I were at York I was in top hat and tails in the royal enclosure on the hottest day of the year (felt like it anyway !)

My mate got in the grandstand in jeans and a jumper and you can view them parading in the paddock from that stand. It's only when you go up into the posh part that you need shirt and tie. While the snobs are having caviar and champagne in the county stand we'll be having hot dogs and burgers in the grandstand.

Let me know what's happening Thursday night. Me and the bird will meet you all in Leeds for bowling or a drink. I'll drive in and park in The Light unless there is a car park at the top of Leeds. I know there is a ten pin bowling place near the merrion centre and the hotel.
