Well, IMO, UEFA want to look a bit fcuking closer to home. Some of the stuff that goes on in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet States and even in Holland is a fcuking disgrace.

In Poland they still have full on nazi chants and riots etc... How on earth do these nations gets away with it. As soon as a Scottish club even so much as sings a song that is in bad taste they are threatened with expulsion from UEFA cimpetitions...! I mean, WTF is all that about?
Celtic have never been in trouble with UEFA. The only issue celtic ever had originated from a tabloid journalist from this country making a complaint to make a story to tarnish the name of the celtic support. This was quickly rebuffed and celtic's fans were praised by the police, UEFA the opposing team, their fans and the local council for their behaviour and conduct.

Totally agree more should be done in mainland Europe, The Italians literally get away with murder cause they are a huge footballing nation, really is shocknig.

You could argue the same about the mobile, I havent heard anything about that incident until I got here. Just because tv didnt show it doesnt mean it didnt happen. Like i said I have no idea if either happenned. I would sincerely hope not

Yeah mate, I didn't mean to sound as if Celtic have been punished - I know they havn't.

Although there were a few videos flying about of your lot in Barca (not in the stadium mind)...

In Italy you can throw mopeds off the top tier of stadiums and sh!t like that without getting busted!!!

In our defense... we too were praised (I don't quite know how) far our behaviour in Bremen and Lisbon...!!!

Hi all,

Normally I have a few things to say about other posts on the thread (as most of you already know) however I have no urge to discuss any of this as I am simply over the moon with Celtics display on Wed.

I thought from the first whistle we were far superior, not only in terms of footballing ability but also drive, determination and fight. IMO if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped at half time due to a Ranger knock out.

My only concern is why havent we played like that all season, Robson IMO was fantastic, the wee man gave all the energy and aggression he had, he stopped Rangers midfeild bullying us. Hartly also put in a great performance, think WGS has to keep these two in the midfield for aslong as he can.

Superb display

Could be something to do with the nasty habit SOME (the large minority) Celtic fans have of tossing coins at Players/Officials.

apologies, I thought I put "small", it was early and I had been up all iht with kids.

With regard to Rangers players reacting, thats a little pot kettle and black is it not?? In recent years its Celtic players who have had a reputation of reacting in the atmosphere and there is umpteen instances of that.

I never said Rangers fans were angels, but there is an ongoing paranoia over in the East End that everything goes against them.

You reap what you sow, and thats twice in a few years that Celtic fans have chucked coins at players/officials in a vital old firm game at Parkhead.

I personally will be at Parkhead next week and wouldnt have it any other way.. but I answered the original question as to why there was a little concern.

Probably more to do with the fact you are animals win or lose

coin tossin

mobile phone thrown

spitting at players during match and as players left ground

Smashing several bus windows.....

Thast just some of the incidents yet again ignored or "forgotten" come thursday morning not to mention the game incidents....Robson tackle, venegoor tackle, hartley tackle, Clark shit himself but if you think beating motherwell and nicking a game against 10 men in the 93rd min makes you think you can nick this title you are sadly mistaken son..probably best thing you couldve done was using all the dirty shit / tricks of the day to get the 3 points...Enjoy see ya next sunday

Both sets of fans have idiots like no other club is Scotland. That's why everyone else hates you both.

The old firm are Scottish footballs greatest assest and at the same time each club has a large section (25%??) of their fans are a cancer eating away at the game.

I feel sorry for the majority of reasonable balanced fans on both sides.

Anything but a sklaf for Gods sake. Sensational strike, something which he has done many time through his time at celtic. The amount of action he gets on a ball is scary. McGregor beaten as soon as it left his boot, what a goal. Possible contender for goal of the season, best goal in an old firm game by a long way since Maloney a few years back.

I thought that the laughing icon at the end would give away the irony of the post mate !! Was a cracking goal .

Just to put in my tuppence worth on some of the posts about the game

1 - IMO Robson should have been booked at least for that 'tackle' after 20 secs , sorry but jumping into someone with a forearm smash is a bloody reckless .

2- Scottishbhoy states that Celtic were ' far superior in football ability etc and if it were a boxing match it would have been stopped at half time '

Well sorry mate but when a team comes to your patch with 1 man up front and looking for the draw , as i think Rangers were , then yes of course your team is going to look the better , purely because the other teams tactics have decided how your team HAS to play and lets be honest it took that wonder strike from Nakamura to break the deadlock , other than that there weren't that many clear-cut chances and those that were were taken care off.
If the score had remained at 0-0 ht then then things would have been the same but as it was when Rangers brought on Novo and began to go forward , Celtic seemed to stutter and were caught out by the change and ,imo , Rangers were slightly the better side in that period , imo.

3- Under the circumstances i thought the Ref had a good game .The guy is in a no-win situation .

4- AJ knocks it on the head with his first line from the above post .

It'll be a bit of a quandry down Parkhead way if the GINGER-WHINGER manages to knock it off and Rangers throw away the league , how do they get rid of him then

When I was talking about Rangers players reaction it wasnt a dig at their conduct, it was a dig at how they seemed to freeze and were really never in the game. Outfought ffor the entire game and the better team won, of that there can be no question.

To be honest, you're talking mince. Out of the 4 things you listed, 3 appear to be made up from the Rangers support. Its about time we got a FAIR ref at an of game. Just because every contentious decision didnt go your way you think the ref shit himself, thats bull and you know it. Mobile phone a fabrication, no proof from anywhere. If you say thats true then the rumour about the potato flung at Robson from the bigots in the away support must also be true. Like i said I hope neither are true
Again pot calling kettle black with regards to dirty tricks, its what you've employed for the first 3 of games since smith came back. You kicked us off the park, wednesday night was the first time we woke up to that and we showed who really was up for the fight. More of the same to follow next Sunday I hope, if it does come about that celtic can boss the midfield like they did the other night then I am certain it will be another victory for the hoops and squeaky bum time for Rangers during the run in.

KEEP THE FAITH!!
