Funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

Will never happen. Scotland would fall on its knees I am afraid.

Whats that meant to mean?

Are you denying that Scotland's national anthem is God Save the Queen....?

Why do you mention getting banned... You must be so paranoid about everything - do you ever manage to leave the house?

By this post, unfortunately I must say alex you aint coming across well. I personally, although my political poinions have no influence on my football team, am an SNP supporter. I'm not a fan of the union and feel that Scotland would be better served as an independant state. This has nothing to do with football. If the scottish anthem was God Safe the Queen it would be played before home internationals and at events such as commenwalth games. If this were to happen you know as well as I do it would cause a riot up and down the country because the majority of people in this country know thats the english anthem, and many have a serious dislike for the English. Your statement and others alonge thos lines are in my opinion borderline stupid.

Come on mate, I explained Celtic as a club are proud of our Irish roots. The fields of Athernry is classic Irish folk song and one which many fans are proud to sing (minus the stupid addons)

God Save the Queen", or "God Save the King", is an anthem used in a number of Commonwealth realms; it is the national anthem of the United Kingdom, one of the two national anthems of New Zealand, and the royal anthem of Australia, Canada, the Isle of Man and Jamaica.

Perhaps you may like to answer the question why Rangers fans feel the need to sing England songs at their games?

Fcuk don't get me started on priests

Are you actually having a laugh? It is a fact that Scotland's NATIONAL anthem is God Save the Queen. Controversial as it may be, it is true. If you had the sense then you would go and check that up...

This makes me laugh. As a matter of fact, I am a teacher - yup, and I teach some Economics, yup. So, if you really want me to go onto a diatribe about how, and why Scotland would fail as an independent state then I would be more than willing.

I am 'afraid', as I would not like to see my home nation fall into dis-repair, which is what would eventually happen. Obviously it is an EXTREME comparison, but you just need to look at the Eastern bloc, ex Soviet countries to see what kind of thing may well happen if Westminster was to pull out all funding to Scotland.

From a political viewpoint, I would not want to see Scotland as an Independent state, as in the long run, it would be a failure.

right.

So you argue about how Celtic are Scottish etc.... yet their main song is Irish based.... The club itself has Irish Roots.

Then you talk about how Rangers arent Scottish, as they are proud of their British Identity and sing two songs that are "ENGLISH".

Something smells quite hypocritical to me.....

We have many songs, I wouldnt class the fields to be our main one, just one of many we sing.

You are treating me like I am an idiot. I know that GSTQ isn't sang at Scotland Internationals, I have been to enough in my time.

But the fact is that GSTQ is the official anthem of the UK, and therefore Scotland.

Argue it all you like my friend, it is however, a fact.
