| http://www.chelseapies.tv/2008/02/sh...tottenham.html They didn't, and that's a fact. But spikey haired skipper JT has said this morning that even on a bad day, he and his Chelsea teammates should wipe the floor with Spurs. In an interview with The Telegraph this morning, JT says, “On a bad day we should be good enough to beat Tottenham. No disrespect to them but we have got a lot of talent. I am bitterly disappointed. These chances don’t come along very often and it is down to myself, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba to pick people up and get everyone going.” For my money, that's a pretty lame excuse from JT, and further proof of the Jose inspired arrogance that still flows through the squad. The players really did think all they had to do was show up on Sunday to win the cup. Bizarre. They'll have to show a bit more respect to West Ham and Olympiakos or the season really could go tits up... |

| Terry seems like a worried man. What with Chelsea doing well when he was injured and the ever increasing posibility of his England spot being taken with the likes of King, Woodgate and Ferdinand. |

All England are good for is laying.

Just have to hope that for your sake Chelsea can kick out of it. That Grant will be replaced in the summer by someone who isn't just Abramovich's mate but a top manager and that arrogance is replaced by hard work and team ethics. | |

| That's exactly what I said after the game on Sunday. I hope his contract (for what that's worth) is watertight! Martin Jol's available? The thing that gets me is Terry's total arrogance. He also thinks he's better than he is. When Abramovich decides for a cull JT may just have to watch his own back. Are Chelsea turning into the leeds team of the 70s? |

| Do you think there is any truth in the rumour that JT & Fat Frank have/are bought/buying properties in Barcelona. ![]()

| I think he means Jonathan King, fresh out of prison and sure to scare away all the young strikers. Also likes a strong tackle from behind. ![]()

| A fit Ledley King is one of the best defenders around. He has always played well for England which cant be said completely for Terry who has never seemed to quite live up to his old club form for England imo. |

| That's a problem....being fit. Personally, I think he has a bloody long way to go to get back into the England reckoning. For that matter, I don't JT either. I'd much rather have Micah Richards, Carragher if we could tempt him to come back or Woodgate.

| Well we have to disagree then. For me though King is a must pick if he is fit. Now that is an if but when he is fit he has it all as a central defender, strong, quick, fantastic awareness in reading a game. His England performances have always been first class, remember the performance he put up against Henry in Euro 2004 when Henry was on the top of his game. Henry scored late on due to Gerrard but there was little King could have done about that, generally King had him in his pocket. As for the three defenders you mentioned, Richards is a great prospect but at the moment I would prefer at right back, carragher retired and has not come back despite many opportunities and lacks pace, he could not work with Terry for example imo and Woodgate looks a classy central defender who fitness is an issue for but as a Spurs fan if I could only have one between him and King it is Ledley all day long.
