Just found this...

Many Uefa cup games or Champions League games to been to see this season then?

Surely as a 'true' Rangers fan you would have been 'well excited' about the final even before you had a ticket..?

Mon the Zenit!!
Who the fcuk do you think you are exactly? Why do I have to justify ANYTHING to you? Of course I was excited about the final before I knew I had a ticket. I was just ecstatic to discover I had managed to get a ticket for one of the most sought after games of the year.

Your boys were unlucky yesterday alex.
Was quite a drab game on the telly, Zenit scored with their only real chance of the game. was a shame they scored so late on as well.
No matter, you done us proud in europe

Cheers scotty. At last, a non Rangers fan who doesn't feel the need to come on and rip the piss left right and centre...

I have had enough of this thread. Waste of time trying to reason and have a decent discussion with some people.

Won't be posting in it anymore.

Just found out about that the now, thanks for the heads up alex.

Thats devastating news, the guy was a fantastic servant, not just for Celtic but for the whole of Scotland.
To die so young as well, at only 51. After battling bravely against cancer since 2006. It was terrible news of the cancer returning this year.

He was a gifted and much loved player for Celtic, 15 years at the club.
And in '94 took over the club as manager, and finally ended Ranger's domination of the Scottish game, when he lifted the league, in his final season as manager in 1997, stopping Ranger's from making it a record 10 in-a-row.
He was still a fan favourite then, and beside Martin O'Neill was probably more loved than any other Celtic manager I can think of since Jock Stein.
Only leaving the club that year because of the tyrant Fergus McCann and his money men driving him out.

With Burnsey left mosta the Celtic players that year, probably Celtics best side in many, many years. Pierre van Hooijdonk, Jorge Cadet, and who can forget Paulo Di Canio.

I'm gonna leave you with 1 of the quotes I will always remember as a boy, when an interviewer asked Paulo di Canio at the end of the season, once they had lifted the trophy, why he was leaving Celtic, he simply said: "I missa the gaffer"

RIP Tommy, you will always be remembered.

Yes RIP Tommy Burns - Sad Indeed

It was an fantastic night last night (apart from the score ) and every Rangers fan I met did scotland proud. Inside the stadium they stayed and applauded zenit and the majority left peacefully.

As for rioting in Manchester, that bollocks!! and the tv pictures show nothing. Unfortunatley the big screen in one of the fanzones broke down and officals were trying to organise transport up to the velodrome so they could watch it there but obviously if you are missing the game of your life you want things to move a little faster tempers will be frayed. From what I heard on the local radio as we were driving home the riot police stepped in and that was that - 42 arrests out of 120,000 I think is quite exemplary .

I think the riot police in Manchester see worse and arrest more on derby day. The biggest complaints this morning has been the state of the city centre with rubbish but I blame the council for that as there was a lack of facilities to dispose of rubbish and no concerted effort to deal with it.

Overall it was a pleasure to be there and a pleasure to meet so many Rangers fans who did their team and their country proud

Who the fcuk do I think I am...? Nae bother, I better not say anything on here against you nor Rangers otherwise I'll get banned, my name will be changed to Scottishprick and I'll have about 5 of you lot slating me when I can defend myself, ye can slag of preists on this forum but ye cant have a laugh at yer rivals gettin beaten, double standerds me thinks.

To be honest today is not a day where I am even going to argue not share my thoughts on the game last night.

I would just like to say Tommy Burns was an absolute gentleman and the main lived and breathed football, a true credit to Scotland and Celtic.

R.I.P big man, you'll be sadly missed

Think the saying 'You reap what you sew' would be suitable in this context
