Murray Through to US Open Final!!! :) - The Punters Lounge

Finally a Brit has truly proven they are among the best in the world at tennis, on the world stage.

Andrew Murray today put out the world and number 1 seed Nadal, to book a place in the final against Federer.
He has proven he is better than any (or at least more successful in grand slam competition) than any other so called british stars such as Tim Henman and many others (Scottish as well as English) in at least our generation.

Fantastic achievement, as a 21 year old boy from Dunblane now looks to be the 1st british Grand Slam winner since Perry in the 30's.

Definately the british accomplishment of the year to date.

Some of the tennis he played was sensational

I'm glad he didnt celebrate by doing that stupid pose with his biceps. that winds me right up.

He's only got to play Federer in the Final - thats a gimme surely!

The English Swimming dual gold medalist and World Record holder is the British performance of the year. I think she just edges Chris Hoy as she's at such a young age.

If you couldnt tell I was on the wind up I pity you.......havnt you read my posts in the past regarding Murray, Hoy etc Obviously not eh?.

I'm pleased for him, I never go overboard on the country thing for tennis anyway as these guys are playing for themselves not thier countries. He's done well though, lets hope he can go one better than Rusedski did when he was at the same point.
