| http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Gomez Born in a car after his dad crashed on the way to hospital; killed someone; clinically dead......an interesting life! They're making a film about his life, beating Amir Khan would make a good ending, he's 9/1. I've got to have a few quid on that. |

| Yesterday afternoon's Bettingzone Market News: 1215: Amir Khan is quoted at 1/16 by William Hill to beat Michael Gomez in tomorrow night's fight. They also make him 1/12 to win by knockout, and just 3/1 to win in the first round. "This fight does have all the hallmarks of a mismatch, with Gomez past his best and Khan very much on his way up," said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. "In fact, it is difficult to understand why Khan believes the fight will enhance his record at all. Despite Khan teaming up with a new trainer, William Hill believe that he has every chance of becoming a world champion. They offer 6/4 that he does so before the end of 2008; 8/11 that he does so before the end of 2009 and even money that he fails to do so before the end of 2009. (Must win IBF, WBO, WBA or WBC title). "Amir's career is clearly on an upward trajectory and he looks certain to be guided to a world title shot before the end of 2009 - the rest is up to him!" said Sharpe. |

| I feel like I am repeating myself time and time again, but Gomez was a decent opponent for Khan at this stage The focus has been on him since fight number one, and even before in his ameture days You do not usually hear about most fighters at all until they are into 15/20 pro fights He has a lot of potential and the raw materials are ther, but he would not beat a top 5 fighter at the moment, needs to work on his defense a lot Some people seem to think he should be having world title fights 15 fights into his career!!!! He has problems but is doing well, plus he is still VERY young
