Can't wait for the season to get going. I think you've strengthened very well and can't wait to see how teams will cope with Ronaldo, Nani, Tevez and Rooney.

No idea how that ended 0-0 today, but it gets worse for you lot. Rooney has a broken foot, or a hairline fracture of something in his foot, whatver the difference is...

I think that United need badly Louis Saha fit - or another real striker to come in.

Tevez and Rooney are similar players, world class players without any doubt, but they look much better in that 'second striker' role.

Too many attacking midfielders and wingers in this United side, but I think they need one strong striker. I like Saha, but he seem to be injury prone.

Yep but Fergie has failed to address this problem, he went for Berbatov but couldnt get him and has fallen back on Tevez......all that cash and they had John O Shea up front up front for 45 mins today

SAF best hope Chelsea shit a brick and get a huge injury table again this year.....

Agree with that, but no one seems to want them anymore.

Its becoming the era in England of the support strikers and the like, and Man Utd are no differnet.

If RVN had been there today it would have been won by a shed load.

Saha will do a job when he comes back, I'm not too stressed at all. You get games like this from time to time, goalies have blinders, just goota accept it.

Long season ahead of us, we'll know about the wisdom of SAFs signings in May not today.

Nani is a long term prospect, I'd loan him back to Sporting Lisbon for a season. Do him the world of good. I'll judge him in 3 years, it took that long for ronaldo to deliver

jeez - and there me thinking it was the first game of the season and teams are yet to settle

yes its united and it does make me but 2 points:

1) which title challenging team came out of day one knowing they have to do a hell of a lot better?

2) rooney will be fully fit come the end of season and not be suffering from being overplayed.

0-0 with reading isnt inspriring but its not exactly panic stations either imo.

2nd game now and not much better you just can not give points away like this to Chelsea and expect to claw it back it's early on in the season but its not a good start........Man Utd now out to 2/1 2nd favs

Advantage Chelsea bigtime......Its hard to chase down as Chelsea found out last season and with strikers problems and Ronaldo suspended they best get thier act together quick....

again, this isnt panic stations imo - pompey will trouble all the big sides at home, as they have in the past. Advantage chelsea definitely, but 36 games left.

although 3rd behind liverpool and chelsea after spending 5omill will be very funny!
