Well Nephalim, looks like 56+ of your Man Utd colleagues will be unhappy because from what I hear the transfer will be announced on Wednesday. Don't be too upset now.

I think he will be a good signing, he plays football and that can only be good for Rooney and co. Ronaldo who knows if the lads wants to go let him, if he thinks 2 good season(not forgetting the poor seasons he had before) makes him a United legend he's doesn't understand the club. Ferguson and his team have made the raw talent that he was into the best player in the world, good luck to the lad but i think it could be the biggest mistake of his career and he may end up plying his trade all round Europe, as Anelka has, never getting settled hence his game could suffer. He needs certain players around him to complement his game such as rooney and tevez their movement give him the space to play, Madrid may put him on the wing, Van Nist, never moves from the pen box therefore Ronaldo will be double marked time and time again, and utd fans have seen how effective that is against him.

Yea, I am in the school of though that Berba will do well
Wanted him at OT for a long time (amongst other potentials like Huntelaar)

No point slagging him off before he's even signed! Has the ability to do well in my opinion.

As for Ron. No point specualting. Maybe made a few comments he shouldn't have but none have been massivly out of order, just taken out of context
lways makes me laugh when you actually see an interview, then see the corresponding article in the paper the next day, they never seem to match!

Heard a good point on the radio today about players contract. Say Ronaldo signed a contract last year for 120k a week, for 5 years. Ok 1 year on he confirms with his performances he is best player in the world not many can argue. Agent thinks i can get a pay day here, tells client don't you say anything to the press and i'll get you a new deal for 200k a week. What if Ronaldo had broken his leg (ie Edmondo) would the agent of come to the club and said i tell you what we signed a contract for 120k, but he can't play for a year so just give him 60k. No so signing the contract only really worked for the player, if they do well they re-neg, if they do bad they take the money and keep quiet. Also Rat i've heard Ronaldo can't ask for a transfer as its in his contract if he does he loses a large amount of money.

The Rat - That's what I'm hearing too. He is out in Spain at the moment, I trhink he played 45 mins in a training match but I wouldn't have thought it would take long to agree personal terms, seems like its been bubbling away for a few months

Berba aint done!!!
But this Italian striker from Roma sound promising. Roma really annoyed he has gone, top youth scorer. Roma said he was their best prospect and he would have tasted first team football next season

The group, who run a popular website in Norway, published quotes from Ferguson which are in turn believed to have been carried by some leading British newspapers.
Although the interview from Ferguson about Berbatov was claimed as an exclusive by one newspaper, the webmaster for the supporters' club feels they are to blame after misquoting the United boss.
"A feather has become 35 hens here. It might seem like we are to blame for what has happened," admitted the branch's webmaster Steinar Madsen to Aftonposten.
"We are to the blame in the sense how the interview was presented. Ferguson didn't mention the name Berbatov when he was interviewed by us.
"I would call it a misunderstanding. It was tricky conditions for the interview.
"As journalists, you have probably experienced this yourself, how it is to listen to the tape afterwards.
"That can cause problems and Ferguson's accent is not too easy to understand to start with.
"Ferguson confirmed that United had tabled an offer.
"We assumed it was Berbatov he was talking about. We might have taken it too far."

If you are referring to the new Italian player we have got, Rossi did cross my mind and I knew someone would bring that up!
I was sad to see him go myself, though he had a lot of potential, saw him in the reserves a few times and he looked a cut above

Seen him for Villareal a fair bit last season too and he is a quality player.

Obviously this guy is a new player, at the club at a new time, so who knows
No one is getting carried away (like some people over Vela ), but reports sound good

The guy is only 16, he's not going to be anywhere near the first team for years.

Tevez, Rooney, Campbell, New Striker (berbatov?), Dong are all ahead of him

He aint gonna be 1st team for a while of course, but Roma said if he stayed he would have had a taste, and the kid even said he expected to have a taste last season!
Reason he came to us is we offered him top money (highest you can get at that age) plus would pay for flights back to Italy to see his family etc a fair bit
Roma are screwing about all this though

Really ? He did ok in Belguim from what I can see, scored a fair few goals.

He's scored a few for the reserves as well hasn't he?

He's certainly behind Campbell I think
