| from the bits i saw in work last night, what a cracking game (even if i did see a different one from the chelsea dugout!) havent had enough chances to see kuyt this season but he really impressed me last night with his hunger and his drive - hopefully we can get another quality striker in in the summer to replace fowler.

| Liverpool goalkeeper Reina burgled during semi-final Wed May 2, 2007 4:29PM BST Email This Article | Print This Article | RSS [-] Text [+] LONDON (Reuters) - The home of goalkeeper Pepe Reina was burgled as he helped Liverpool reach the Champions League final on penalties, Merseyside Police said on Wednesday. The 24-year-old Spanish international, who saved two spot kicks in the semi-final shootout against Chelsea, had a number of items stolen from his home in Woolton, Liverpool. The player's Porshe Cayenne was taken and found burnt out in Fleetwood Walk at about 0530 GMT on Wednesday. A Bang & Olufsen entertainment system, paperwork and jewellery were also taken. Merseyside Police were called to the address at 1:45 a.m. and said the burglary happened between 7 p.m. and 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday while Reina was performing heroics at a noisy Anfield. It is the latest footballer's home to be targeted by thieves in the city. Reina's club team mates Jerzy Dudek, Daniel Agger, Peter Crouch and Florent Sinama-Pongolle, as well as Everton's Andy Van der Meyde, were all burgled last year. Liverpool beat Chelsea 4-1 in the shootout after a 1-0 win had left the teams level at 1-1 on aggregate following extra time. They will face either Manchester United or AC Milan in the Champions League final in Athens on May 23. |

| Odd Champions League Final. 3rd/4th in England vs 3rd/4th in Italy. It also blows apart Sky Sports little report that the game might be switched from Athens to somewhere closer (I'm guessing Wembley) if it was an all English final. WTF was that all about. ![]() |

| Think the cups should b (i know i know it'll never happen, cause of money etc etc, but am just saying) Champs league - all winners of all leagues in Europe (dont matter now shite e.g Irish league) Uefa - All 2nd placed teams of all Leagues in Europe Cup Winners Cup (yes its back) All the main cup (F.A etc etc) winners through out Europe Intertoto - All winners of the 2nd cup competition (league cup etc etc) P.S am aware this is in Liverpool thread, if it needs moved then DO IT Last edited by lemonjon; 02-05-2007 at 21:59. |

But also the glamour of it all, the big matches you get and the atmospheres games can get. The Champs League has really grown to what they dreamed it would be.

It is a bit strange, but its the way it is now. And tbh you get some games you just can't take your eyes off each season. The cream of each league coming up against each other, its not bad The Champions League has been the wrong name from the days they let 2nd enter though Its clearly not.

| Poor result today but when you look at the side put out by Rafa it doesn't shock you. Needless to say he's got bigger fish to fry in a few weeks time and I guess thats where the season rests.

| Just when you think it can't get any worse than Zenden http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drill...70507-1307.htm Looks like Harry Kewell may come out of retirement to make another cameo appearance in a major final ![]() |

| As long as all he does are the HT oranges, no starting place for him in Greece please! Mind you even with a starting place he'll probably be in the dressing room well before HT anyway! |

| I can't believe he merits a place on the bench let alone the starting line up. The sooner he leaves the club the better.
