This is the big one for all fans of Rugby League (im on bloody nights) So am i betting on the outcome ? Having lost on nearly ever rugby bet this season....no bloody chance. So it just goes for me to say......Cmon Britain...... |

| It was nothing short of garbage winrew. I really thought they`d be well up for it tonight but we never turned up. The Aussies were superb though, they seemed to capitalise on most of the mistakes we made. ![]()

| Great Britain were absolutely shocking, no invention, no plan, no idea. Australia on the other hand were scintillating in the first half, the switch of direction for their (3rd???) try showed how far ahead they really are. Being in Walkabout in Manchester for this game surrounded by a load of Aussies did not make it a nice experience! What I can say though is that the future rests with the likes of Danny McGuire who should have been on from the start but that's only one player from 17. There is plenty more talent out there, it's time to start using it and getting rid of the dead wood. Lose Sean Long (wtf is that hair all about). Lose Farrell as Captain. Try out the likes of Luke Robinson and many of those in the England European Cup campaign. Roll on Feb 11th I say - Wigan v Salford - with me expecting big things from the Reds this season ![]() |

| Don't know how you can say lose farrell as captain, despite the mammoth loss he was outstanding. I don't know what went wrong tonight, i'm gutted as i'd been looking forward to it all week after a bad fortnight personally. A few things i do know need to be put right though: 1) We need 5-6 players in the NRL, not just Morley. I'd like to see Ellis, McGuire, Newton, Farrell and Senior over there aswell. We need top players that understand how they play their game week in week out. The level of intensity that they can sustain for 80 minutes is unbelievable. 2)Lose promotion/relegation in superleague and cut the overseas quota. How can clubs plan for the future and achieve some kind of stability with the threat of relegation hanging over them. Instead of taking a chance on a promising young player teams such as London more often than not go for the second rate Aussie. 3) Get some TOP aussies in super league. For the good of the world game we need to get a decent exchange system going between us and the aussies. We need our domestic players to be coming up against the likes of Lockyer week in week out. |

| ![]() I would imagine Lockyer going down well at belle vue. Who would you suggest as captain? If we're going to change, Gaz Ellis would have to be in with a shout. He's young, hard and a good leader. We really missed him last night, especially his defence. |

| The trouble with Aussie imports is the fact a large majority of them are on the way down, they come over here for a retirement plan. Most have seen better days and come over here for easy money. Having no relegation from Super League, wouldnt be the answer in my opinion, its almost a closed shop as it is at the moment the way the money is distributed to the lower leagues is nothing short of criminal. |

| you're totally right about the imports win. Maybe a better solution would be to have a set of criteria that foreign players have to meet e.g. they must be younger than 28 or have recently played state of origin or test rugby. It really says something about the quality of our game when Adrian Vowles can struggle to get in an NRL side then come over here and win man of steel. I still think we need to scrap promotion and relegation though, or do something to encourage SL sides to bring their youngsters through. |

| I enjoy watching the Rugby League, whether its Superleague, NRl or the Internationals, I can't say the same for Union, I think the only game i have managed to sit through in the last 10 years was the World Cup final. |
