without wishing to piss on your chips, how much would you say this game had to do with the disturbing colapse you've gone through?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...up/1742551.stm

you came to us top of the prem, had been in 1/4 finals of champs league and everything looked as rosy as it could be - but you seem to have been in freefall ever since.

I've said it for a long time Ali - that was the bloody game that started the rot for us. That Young goal I can see it even now, one of the worst moments as a fan going out to Cardiff that day. The amount of momentum we lost was huge and certainly stopped us getitng at least a CL position, which is what we needed.

I wouldnt want Leeds to go down as i want a strong division & decent sides to play with good support, I really hope Southend, Barnsley & HUll end up going down, but its gonna be tight.

as you said, at least we didnt lose

BTW thats our 1st 0-0 for over 35 games
Dunno if QPR can be classed as that small anyway tbh Bowsley

I the same hope its those 3 that go for sure. At least Southends decent run seems to have ended now. Barnsley cant defend much and their only recent successes have been against teams around them. They have just capitulated against strong units.

oh btw and that was just our 2nd clean sheet in 16 games and only our 4th draw of the season.

who would've said 0-0 eh

small in terms of available cash, thats what football is based on now unfortunately

gone are the days when the likes of QPR could bring players through like Gerry Francis (youngest english captain at 23 & scored a hat trick vs Scotland at Wembley in 5-1 thrashing) Clive Allen, Paul Goddard, Les Ferdinand & sign the likes of Paul Parker, Terry Fenwick, Tony Currie, Ray Wilkins, Ossie Ardiles (!), David Seaman, Chris Woods, Trevor Francis, Trevor Sinclair, Mark Falco.

Memories are what i have now.

We went down in 96. In 97 Sky gave every PL club £10m, the rest is history.

Just been reading that Leeds have just received £33k from Leeds City Council's "hardship fund". If I was a Leeds City Council tax payer I'd be fuming about that!

Another defeat and it gets gloomier and gloomier for Leeds Utd.
Such a sad demise for a truly big club.
God knows why Dennis Wise was given the job by Bates, he hadn't achieved anything with Swindle Town and has for me been found wanting at this level.
A manager with a proven track record is needed here.
Anyone for Sgt Wilko?

I was at Wolves yesterday, and i'm afraid to say with a defence like that you're definately going down. Every time we attacked it was panic stations in your back 4.
I feel sorry for Blake, Healey and Cresswell because they are decent players being dragged down to the sub standard level of the rest of the team.
And for the knob jockey in the Leeds end who threw a second ball onto the pitch when we were attacking, the goal by Kightly at the end of that very move tasted all the more sweet thanks to you .

Oh well, onwards and downwards

My sentiments exactly. I still think we have some half decent players, good enough to not be sat at the bottom of the table anyway . . . Whilst I gave him the benifit of the doubt when he joined - I seriously doubting whether he has what he takes . . . Look what Paul Ince has done to Macclesfield - a turnaround of almost miraculous proportions isn't out of the question if the right man is at the helm . . .

. . . Funny how Master Bates is quiet on the whole situation . . . Its so unhealthy having a chairman who will never critizise his manager and a manager who will never bemoan his chairman.

well Birmingham v Lees tonight, in all reaility we aint got a chance of getting any points. I doubt it will be a hammering, but they should win 1 or 2 nil. No expectations to get anything in this match, but we have to fire against Sheff Wed at the weekend. Defeat or even failure to win that would probably be the final nail
