| get in there that performance really sticks it to the people who know nothing about how well leeds have played all season. i reckon i have seen them over 2000 minutes this season, and that was no surprise to me. we are the class side in the playoffs, we should have gone up automatically but its off to wembley now where owt can happen. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() :c ow

| I agree tish, they are a good side. However, I think Carlisle have shown themselves in an excellent light his season too. They will be up next year, no danger there. If they keep their squad intact and make a couple of experienced signings they will be challenging for automatic promotion IMO.

| Terrific result, I didn't expect us to turn this around, incredible how we keep getting late goals ![]() A terrific effort from everyone this year no matter what happens in the final ![]() ![]() I'd rather we played Southend in the final, a lot of people I spoke to this season said Donny were the best side that came to ER this season, although we performed better at their place. Whoever we face, we'll have every chance anyway |

Let's not kid ourselves that you were amazing tonight either, you beat a Carlisle side which never showed up. There is no class side in the playoffs though, in fact there wasn't really a class side in the entire division this season. I thought that too mate but they won the JPT last season when Bristol Rovers had cancelled out a 2 goal lead and you've got some young players who could easily freeze on the big occasion as some of them showed the other night. Freedman could be the difference though. That was an incredibly smart piece of business from McAllister but a lack of width might not help at Wembley.

| [quote=kevshat;1085871]I'm guessing that was aimed at me but I'll stick to my original thoughts. I still don't rate Leeds highly enough to go up and as I said earlier I'm happy to be hung out to dry if I'm proved wrong, I've seen Leeds enough this season to know what to think though and results in games I've not seen tell enough. The 3-3 at Vale for example, Cheltenham doing the double over you, the draw down here, Hereford winnng at ER in the cup etc etc. wow u are a bit paranoid there m8 i know u know your stuff, but how u can pass comment after watching 3 or 4 games is beyond me. fact is we got enough points to be promoted automatically, and as somebody wiser than me once said, the table never lies at the end of the season, or is that wrong? the 15 points is well documented, and gone and forgotten. yep we might be playing in league 1 next season, anything can happen in 90 mins as you kindly remind us all above. but to be frank i couldnt care less. i will be at wembley to cheer the lads on and will be there whatever next year as i have for the last twelve. all i can say is the shrewdies were on leeds tonite, and it will pay for next years season ticket ![]() rumour has it that when leeds got to the playoff final 2 years ago there were 250,000 ticket applications. make it 300,000 this year as doncaster is 50/50 rovers and leeds fans i reckon. best of luck to the lads ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() we are overdue a bit of good luck

You can have 5000 ticket applications for Wembley or 50 million applications, at the end of the day you'll be matched by Doncaster or Southend in the stands at Wembley but promotion isn't won in the stands as you found out 2 years ago, it's won on the pitch and as your results against both sides suggest, you're not sufficiently better than either of them. I don't buy into all this we deserve luck stuff because you've created all your problems yourselves but I wish you luck at Wembley as there's a few people on here who I consider mates who are Leeds fans so I hope Leeds win for them . Just don't get carried away until the trophy is in Douglas' hands .

| boring.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() guess it will be a cold day in hell when any of you southerners admit that leeds played carlisle off the park tonight. same old story on here as usual. leeds rollercoaster season lives on, and they may be destined to fall at the final hurdle, we will see. fact is you will be tipping whoever they play, and if southend win tomorrow, suddenly they will be the best team you have ever seen ![]() trust me no-one is getting carried away, just glad the class told, and the best side won. wembley and lufc are not a marriage made in heaven however.

| I thought Leeds were screwed after losing at Elland Road. Full credit to them to win 2-0 at Brunton Park, never an easy place to win and especially so when so much was at stake. Been a slow start for Gary Mac for me but this is a huge result for him.

| I've been really impressed with Gary Mac during these play-offs. His attitude when we lost the 1st leg (smirking to the fans and moving his hand from side to side to say it was 50/50 when we pulled one back at Elland Road) and his calm and collected attitude leading up to the 2nd leg really gave the lads some freedom to play IMO. Absolutely delighted we got the win last night. It'll be a close run thing whoever we get in the final but the lads can do it. I just don't like how we can self-destruct under the pressure at Elland Road sometimes. Hopefully, G-Mac can get the players into a frame of mind where we treat the final as an away fixture rather than a home-type fixture us Leeds fans will try to create . |

| I, too, am delighted with not only the victory, but the style of victory, which on the whole was calm, collected and effective which is very nice to see.

| Tickets never went on general sale! Leeds' Ministry Of Ways And Means Forces Donny's Hand By - 22/05/2008 18:01 Doncaster Rovers today took the unprecedented decision to suspend over-the-counter sales of tickets for Sunday's League One play-off final amid fears they were getting into the hands of touts and Leeds United fans. Prior to the suspension, the South Yorkshire club had sold over 20,000 tickets for the Wembley showpiece. A Rovers statement revealed they'd been forced to put in place the measure after a significant number of quick-thinking United supporters and ever-resourceful ticket touts had started to gather at the Keepmoat Stadium. Thursday had been pencilled in as the first day of general sale for Leeds hopefuls but the final ticket of United's allocation of 36,000 was sold on Wednesday evening, following a day of chaos and queue-jumping at Elland Road. Rovers said they would still take orders by e-mail, telephone and fax but every application would be checked against the club database before tickets were issued. But it means fans who are not on the database and were planning to buy them from the stadium will not be able to buy tickets. To their credit Doncaster had offered to hand over 6,000 of their allocation to their opponents but the Football League, always willing to help out, said no to that citing segregation procedures at Wembley had already been put in place.

| I am really routing for Leeds on Saturday and I am not sure why, maybe its the 15 point deduction fiasco, maybe its my admiration for Gary Mac, maybe its the aversion to ManYou I love or maybe I just like to suck Paul Ross's arse now and then ![]() Anyway good luck Leeds ![]()
