No chance. He's sh1t! Well, maybe that's a bit harsh, but the jury is still most definitely out on him. The vast majority of fans thinks he's pretty much a donkey and TAF got picked ahead of him against Crewe.

I can provide the conclusive settlement on this having watched Kandol several times at Barnet, and Dag & Red.

Kandol is cack.

However, he goes through periods of about 8-10 games where he plays like Didier Drogba, and this secures him a move to a bigger club. The rest of the time, he is mediocre.

Thurrock - Dagenham - Barnet - Leeds.

Unfortunately, he is not going to get much better than Leeds.

He had his good period at the start of the season. Goal return is 3 from the last 21.

He wouldn't be in the first 11 of the top ten League One clubs. Good enough for a sub, or squad player.

Leon Constantine, when fit and not being a dick, is a much better player in every department.

For the leeds fans.

Has there been anything in the papers about the possibility of Rob Jones coming from Hibs to leeds? In Edinburgh and the Hibs football forums there has been constant rumours flying about that he is about to be going to leeds for £1m.

Ex Grimbsy, 6ft 6 centre defender.

For £1m you can have him.

Better to post this question AFTER a Leeds victory.

No-one posts on this thread, otherwise.

So what will 2008 bring for LUFC?

I still think we will get one of the promotion spots, 2nd looking more likely than 1st at the moment and with Douglas sidelined for at least 2 months, this would be OK imho.

I also hope we can keep onto Beckford, and ideally, get him a new partner. Flo is too old, Constantine too injury prone and i just don't rate Kandol. Someone with a bit of panache in the midfield wouldn't go amiss (There's rumours of Puncheon from Barnet) and we need a left back (theres talk of a bid for a wallsall left back?) . . .

At the start of the season I would have been happy with a play off spot but after the run we've been on, i'd be gutted to finish below 2nd now (although if you could GUARANTEE a playoff win i'd be delighted with a trip to wembley).

So, 2008 . . . could be another year of 3rd division football . . . but I think we should just about go up, with a lot more huffing, puffing and tight ar3e moments than people were thinking a few weeks ago.

God knows mate, its certainly a more attractive proposition than it was 6 or even 12 months ago. It will be someone who Bates knows, probably a Chelsea connection . . .

I've lost all track of who's avaialable. . . !

Absolutely amazing.

I think Wise has done good this season for Leeds, but he is totally underqualified for a role at a club as big as Newcastle. It's a mistake for the Geordies. Everyone knows that Keegan is loved by the fans, but is tactically suspect as a manager. The board could have remedied this by getting a proven man alongside him, but there surely could not be anyone less suitable than Dennis Wise. A case of little man, little man syndrome, if you excuse the pun.

Maybe he saw the writing on the wall, that maybe Leeds may not get promoted. 15pts from the last 10 games going into the business end of the season is not promotion form, let alone playoff form. You can't blame him for walking, even if he just gets the youth coach job at Newcastle.

What next for Leeds? Wise was the 'yes-man' for Bates so I suspect another one in the same mould.

Can't see it being McLaren, I bet Bates was bad-mouthing him as much as everyone else. After the England job, he might be too expensive.
Not Big Sam either. I think he might not be straight enough for Bates, and he might be too expensive/get a Prem club.
McAllister would be popular. Unsure about his management credentials. Seems too nice a guy to be tough.

Sanchez would be my pick, I reckon he optimises the 'us against them' battle mentality that Bates used to galvanize the club. Also it would be a smoother transistion, with the direct playing style quite similar to Wises.

I think Steve Cotterill would be a good choice for them at this point in time.

Not for me, I really don't like him. A poor manager imho and a whimpering, moaning one to boot.

That's what I'm getting at, man. I bet there were loads of supporters moaning when Wise was appointed - as ex-Chelsea southerner.

I don't think Bates will care much whether the supporters like the new manager or not, as long as it meets his requirements.
