If Curbishley and Allardyce have the cheek to do this, then I feel I should make it clear that I am not interested in the role

Seriously though, it does my head in when no-mark managers do this. The only thing which makes it less embrassing is the fact that our FA could conceivably consider them.......hold on did I say less embarassing.

Its the equivalent of Carlton Cole ruling himself out of the Brazil team.

Important thing to remember here is that these "No mark" managers were serious candidates last time out.....and probably still are in the F.A's book

As for CFCole.... I still hate him but he's improving and doing a good job while we have many many injuries.. Who's to say he wont ever get called up by England should he continue to improve ??

Thats very true - it was all the talk that it had to be a British manager but could you see either of those doing any sort of job for England. Especially Allardyce in his current predicament I find humourous he felt it necessary to rule himself out! Fair enough, if he was asked the question.........

And I agree Carlton Cole has improved but on the other hand, he couldnt have gone much further down. To be fair he has only scored a few tap ins - I still think the game against Villa he looked as bad a striker as have seen in the Prem since Ameobi. And there is nothing to say he wont get a call up to the England team one day, but that is a whole other problem!

The problem being...The English F.A. and the Media

Allardyce ruled himself out to save the Media intrusion to would be everywhere should even the F.A tea lady mention his name in passing. This, of course, would be very disrupting to a guy just trying to get on with his job and without doubt , he has enough headaches at Newcastle already.

I think its a good thing to be honest!!! - Keeps the media from his door!!
