Default How many do we need?

127-5 at lunch.
250 would seal it IMO. Anything less than 200 and we're buggered. 200-250 and it's still anyones.

I think we'll get between 190 and 210, and it will go down to the wire.

250 would be good but I would still fancy Aus to knock that over in 40-45 overs I think, whatever I think we all agree this is going to be another real nail biter and surely this day confirms this series as the greatest test cricket series ever.

Ill bet we dont see Gilchrist at number 7 tonight as well. Ive always said he will come up with a massive innings at some point, hope Im wrong

KP going well now, hopefully we'll get beyond the 250 mark. I think anything over 250 with less than 50 overs remaining would be out of reach but it's going to be thoroughly entertaining watching them try, assuming they get us out of course.

250 not that long away. We need to get to 40 overs left. make it difficult for them to chase.

Phew - Exciting stuff - If we can just stick around for another 10 overs or so.....

Are there any overs "lost" on the days play for a change in the batting side? For example, if England are bowled out with 45 overs to go, when Australia come in, are there still 45 overs to go, or does it reduce by a few for the time of the turnaround?

Tea is at 3:15?

Ok looks promising - if we can survive to 3:15, then we can knock another 2 overs off the days total

Brilliant knock from KP. Batting for 10 overs after tea would seal it. I'm going to be celebrating tonight, and tommorow. Fcuk it I'm going to be pissed for a week

Ok - I'm not a regular cricket watcher - but this has to be over doesn't it?

So how does it end? Do they keep going to the bitter end? Or when it's looking so unlikely, as to be impossible, do the aussies "quit", concede and walk off?

Not sure when this is going to finish. Someone mentioned 5.15 as the time the captains should bring the players off if it's obvious no result is possible. I've got a feeling they'll just keep going till Pieterson's out though.
