Whilst watching the Celtic match last night the commentator mentioned Hartsons contract was up for renewal and Celtic were going to offer him 40k a week
Im sorry but that sort of money is usualy restricted to real strikers ,Henry,Nistelrooy,Drogba etc not for someone who left the English leagues for an easy life , the mans Sh*te,wouldnt score 5 in the prem league.
40k sheesh Celtic must have money to burn.

He's maybe not a "real" stiker as you call them. He's not a top-class striker like Henry or Van Nistelrooy - Hence why he is playing in Scotland for Celtic.

But he's certainly not shite. I think he'd do quite well in the premier league. He's a very powerful target man and isn't too bad with the ball at his feet. Would be a good player for some of the lesser teams - West Brom, Southampton etc.

Viduka and Hasselbaink must be on 60-80k a week+. And i wouldn't say that they are miles better than Hartson. Maybe they were a bad example, but i think you get what i mean.

In short, he's not shite.

Yeah, true enough I suppose. The thing is that for the old firm clubs in Scotland, they have to offer more money than other clubs(in other leagues such as the premiership, Spain and Germany) because there are the obvious drawbacks of playing in the Scottish premiership. Otherwise, they would have even less mediocre players than they already have.

I disagree, Hartson is a big ginger twat, with the first touch of an Austin Allegro. He's only a good target man in the way Mike Tyson would be a good target man, i.e BIG!
