Would have been cruel for Ronaldo's season to end with that penalty costing them.

Well made up that UTD won, we would have never heard the last of it if Chelsea had won,

I felt for Ronaldo missing that pen as he's the best player in the world,

well done to Utd,

Cracking game and a great advert for the Premiership, only spoiled by Chelsea's constant moaning at every decision.

On the night I think Chelsea edged it and were very unlucky not to win. Very hard for them to take missing out on the Prem and the CL by such a small margin.

Steve.

Hardluck Chelsea, best team lost that game imo. Could have been out of it by half time had United taken both the other chances they created, but Chelsea should have won.

Well done Drogba though, how to make an idiot of yourself in many ways. Should do a book now, twat. Can't say I have 1 shred of sympathy for the guy though.

Good final that though, much better than the dross I was expecting.

I'm glad Chelsea lost in the end - Makelele, Joe Cole and Drogba were a disgrace.

Well done Utd

I think Utd's european experience got them through it, chelsea just lack that 5% to make it through the finals of big games such as the CL.

Drogba's madness thankfully cost Chelsea the cup, Terry stepping up to take the 5th pen with Kalou & Anelka to follow was a big surprise but Drogba's staying on the pitch would have meant Terry wouldnt be needed in the top 5.

The guy should take a long hard look at himself

Now thats over, we can get back to normal football now!

So I believe that makes Tottenham the only London team to win anything all season.

I tuned in to watch the last fifteen minutes of extra time, even though I don't like football.

There was a clash of heads going after a ball, and they both collapsed for about 5 minutes. I've had worse than that and got off the floor after 20 seconds.

Footballers - bunch of poofs.

Crying because he missed a penalty.

FFS!!

At the end of the day we we're the best team in the first half, a double deflection made sure Chelsea went in level.
However, as a United fan I was sick of us losing big games and when Lampard scored I couldn't help think of the same story.
Second half we were second fiddle to Chelsea.
But so glad we won
Was one of the most tense penalty shootouts ever

God knows what i would say if i was a neautral

I can't help thinking that Terry himself chose to be the 5th penalty taker...maybe so that he'd be the one scoring the 'winning' penalty and get the glory?

It made me laugh how Sky mentioned vd Saar slipping cos of wearing blades but John Terry had taken 10 pairs of boots....then still ended up choosing the wrong pair....d'oh!!

Rio Ferdinand went up in my estimation last night after the final whistle. The clear affection and respect he had for the old master Bibby Charlton was very touching.

Well done Man U.
