and yes i'm worried. at the moment i'm looking at dave jones - if he walks then we have problems and cant see him staying if he doesnt see we're planning for a good future. hope i'm not wrong here but we do seem to be working with a reasonably sensible business plan.

can any barnsley fans out there confirm that ridsdale did do a good job with yourselves? i',m under the belief that leeds was a monumental fcuk up but ridsdale got the most media-attention of those in the wrong...? again not sure of the full facts here and what has been the sun reporting.

you can't be serious can you?

Their 12,000 crowds in a 70,000 stadium?? Would be absolutely ludicrous.

Ok Bluebirds, apparently this Warren Feeney character you've loaned us is a bit shit.

Is this a fair assesment?

If so then luckily he'll only be 4th choice and will only be here until christmas.

Looks like someone is getting pissed off

Ridsdale offers to quit Cardiff

Peter Ridsdale has offered to quit Cardiff

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale has offered to quit the club because he is fed up with abuse from supporters.
He confirmed to BBC Wales he feels he is being driven out by fans who he says want former chairman and owner Sam Hammam back in charge of the club.
"I am getting more stick for saving Cardiff City than I did when things went wrong at Leeds," said Ridsdale.
"If the fans want Sam Hammam back in charge, as many of them are telling me, then maybe they should have him."
Former Leeds chairman Ridsdale, who openly talks to supporters and hands out his mobile number, said a number of abusive texts have pushed him to the brink.
Some have called for the return of Hammam, with one text saying: "We want Sam Hammam back."

Criticise me by all means, but don't keep telling me you want Sam Hammam back

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale

Ridsdale offered his resignation at a board meeting but was unanimously turned down by the club's directors.
"Right now, I feel like walking away," he said. "The future for the football club would be bleak, maybe even liquidation.
"Do I want to do that? No, I really am passionate about what's happening.
"Am I being driven away? Yes. I believe I am."
When Ridsdale arrived at Ninian Park in 2005, Cardiff were losing £9m a year and had debts of £30m with the new stadium project looking in tatters.
Hammam left the club last October so that new investors could come in and sold his stake two months later, leaving former Leeds chairman Ridsdale to take control.
But last month Cardiff were threatened with court action over a £24m loan from Cardiff backers Langston, taken out by Hammam.
Langston's solicitors, Hextalls, claim the club's board was mismanaging its finances and misleading supporters and said the money had to be paid immediately.
But Ridsdale said all contact with Langston had been made through Hammam and insisted the loan is not due to be paid back until 2016.
"People ring me saying when Sam Hammam left we were top of the Championship, but Sam Hammam could not even sign cheques for two years," he said.
"It was me who brought in Michael Chopra, Stephen McPhail and more.
606: DEBATE

The only people who have something to say about PR are bitter Leeds fans, and for Sam coming back that should send a chill thorugh the spine of any Cardiff fan

ccfcbb199

"The progress since those days has been unbelievable.
"Criticise me by all means, but don't keep telling me you want Sam Hammam back.
"I have put half a million pounds of my own money into this football club. "I have done that because I believe in what is happening here. "How much of his own money did Sam Hammam put in?"

i heard a bit of this when i was away and its taken me by surprise tbh - i dont know anyone who wants hammam back. Dead, yes, but not back. At this point in time, Ridsdale appears to be doing a good job imo although (mainly through media speculation) there are uncertainties as to any continued involvement of Hammam or one of his 'companies'. We're not challenging for the Premier yet and I dont feel we're ready as a club, but with the current men in charge, I'm happy that foundations are being laid in preparation.

massive day for us - court case ruling will be announced later.

i'd happily sacrifice everything we have and could do in the fa cup for this to go right - would also love to see hammam sat in the bob bank for every game until the loan is paid in 2016 or his death, whichever would be sooner (likely to be 20:16 if its an 8 o'clock kick off first game he's there)

I take it Sam Hamman won't get a welcome in the hillsides if he ever returns to the City of Cardiff!

Bluebirds saved from loan crisis

Peter Ridsdale said the club would go into administration if it lost

Cardiff City Football Club has been saved from a financial crisis after a High Court judge rejected a bank's bid to force it to repay £24m in loans.
Swiss investment bank Langston is suing the club over the loan and had sought "summary judgment" - meaning the club should pay up now.
But Mr Justice Briggs, sitting in London, dismissed the claim.
As a result, the case will go forward to a full trial of the complex issues involved.
Cardiff's former chairman Sam Hammam has been named by the club's barrister as the man behind Langston.
Appeal
Langston wanted £24m of a total £31m in loans to be repaid immediately.
However, the FA Cup contenders claimed the loan is not repayable until 2016 and it could face an uncertain future if it lost the case.
The judge said the case was "clearly unsuitable for summary determination".
He also refused Langston permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal.
The judge was invited by both sides in the dispute to delay the full hearing of the case for two months in the hope that it can now be resolved without the need for further court action.
Sam Hammam was named as behind Langston

The ruling comes at a crucial time for the Championship club, who face Barnsley in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on 6 April.
Chairman Peter Ridsdale, who succeeded Mr Hammam, has said administration would be a realistic scenario if the club lost the case.
That would lead to an automatic 10-point deduction which would threaten the club with relegation and affect plans for a new stadium near their Ninian Park ground.

Langston's counsel, Michael Driscoll QC, had told the court it was common ground that the investment bank was a substantial creditor of the club and that the debt owed to it was in excess of £15 million. It was also common ground that Langston loaned £24 million to the club in 2004, and it had yet to be repaid anything. It was the club's case that nothing was payable at the moment.
