Default Best moments of the weekend

Right whats your favourite moment of the weekend ?
It can be any sport......hence the forum name.....footie or sport banter.

Mine is a excellent performance by Shaun Wright Phillips (Man City)...after the abuse he suffered midweek..........:o

Thought the guy had a cracking game,he didnt seem phased by the horrendous abuse he suffered,he just got on with the job.....SWP.......

Rob Earnshaws equaliser at Highbury, good goal, excellent celebration and the confidence lift he needed.

agreed punter, Earnshaws goal was brilliant but what really "turned me on" about it was Greenings sublime piece of skill and cross that lead to the goal. Fcukin awesome wouldn`t you agree Aykay ?

If it wasn`t for Hoults gimme we`d have beaten that lot down The Library ah well, Man Utd can look up next week

Rovers coming back from 3-1 with an excellent second half.

David Dunn getting standing ovation from Rovers fans and Dwight Yorke geeting booed(not jibes).

Fair play Ian, i think you deserved your point in the end - we're struggling to finish teams off at the moment. Great goal from Earnshaw, better than Pires's anyway! Make sure to carry on where you left of against the dirty mancs next week

Cant believe one person making a monkey noise has become todays national sports story in britain, talk about over the top.

Next week England's cricketers fly to a racist regime in Zimbabwe that has killed thousands of people and one guy going "oh oh" at Dwight Yorke is a headline, shocking.

Dwite Dork is just pissed off at the booing that he got when he came on as a sub.
I was there and we were loud
I didnt hear any monkey jibes but if it was down to one person then surly if they have got the lad then you can't hold the club responsable

The Football Association has launched its own inquiry into Yorke's allegations he was abused by two home fans as he warmed up on the touchline.
Well I think it's quite disgusting. There should be a ban on anyone entering a sports ground now who is not prepared to sign a declaration saying that they will not take part in any acts of racism whatsoever and moreover will kick seven bells of excrement out of anyone they see doing so. This has probably destroyed any chance we had of hosting not only the Olympics in 2012, but the World Cup ever again and probably the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest.

Matt, I couldn't agree more, it's so over the top it's Gary Neville

Blackburn v B'ham was an excellent game to watch, a very entertaining Sunday Live game, Reid was good, Thompson was excellent, (Mcveily wasn't) Gallagher is a player i'd like to see play more and your fans were well behind the team Herp, great game, i think Hughes might turn it around.

Robbie Savage played well again too, i know he doesn't win to many popularity votes but he always seems to play well when i watch him.

Yeah After the first half we was right behind them.
I thought savage played shite, none of his pass or dead balls really threatening but i do like savage and i hopw he comes to ewood at christmas.
Mceveily is still bit slow melchiot ran rings round him and fatter than he was for us 2 years ago when he had Beckham in his pocket(i was there) he came back from Burnley with a bust knee and out for a long time.
Gally is one our favs still a local lad(from Shad) who will run for every ball and gives us his all.
Tommo is pure class for us and the sooner hes fit and stay's injury free the better(met him once top bloke).
I was Reid's worst critic first half but he seemed to pick his game up 2nd half and was really good second half.

Against Fulham next weekend and if he plays Fergie(easy the best player we have at the mo)and tommo in midfeild with emerton and reid/MGP and dickov - Janney up front then im sure we will get something from the game.

We will not be going down.

But judging by the shower of shite that is the "First Division" you'll probably be back up as champions in two years.
