Why is PL so popular and grows faster than any betting forum out there then?

The reason being we do things the right way, we won't allow children on here and yes I will ban the fcukers without blinking if they are to here to cause trouble and that only.

From what I've seen on this thread alone ScottishBhoy was banned for nothing which was rightly overturned, merely for what disagreeing or getting on a guys nerves who happened to be a moderator?

Also on this thread Gaz was threatening to ban MJB_20 or whatever his name was because once again he had the nerve to disagree with him, in both these occasions the mods branded abuse at the other members, i don't think this would have been accepted the other way around.

I agree, get rid of the idiots on the forum as I've seen what the Betfair forum is like and you can't take any posts seriously on there but I can see where nastro is coming from based on these incidents alone.

SB was a heated reaction and Alex knows it was a bad decision as I told him so, however it is extremely rare for me to have to do that.

MJB_20 was a previously banned member under a different name, and we enforced the ban again.

It's rubbish that we ban people for nothing, PL wouldn't exist if we did that, however there were big overreactions in these Scottish threads.

If I banned everyone that I disagreed with on here, half the moderators would be banned and plenty of members. Don't think for one minute, we all lick each others butts in Mods forum, because we don't - that's why PL is a success, there are no egos from the people that run it.

However, I will not tolerate people coming on here to cause trouble. If I see it, I'll ban them, I won't be waiting for a politically correct way to do it, they'll just be gone.

Fair enough Paul, not saying people get banned for nothing and Im not active enough in all the threads or been here long enough to comment, simply that there was one unfair banning which you rescinded, fair play but the MJB_20 one Gaz didn't say MJB was banned under a different name nor did I know this so he was threatening to ban on the face of it someone who had simply disagreed with him.

Keep up the good work

alecmac plays the Scotland, England, Newcastle, Rangers card depending on who and whats on, and decides what and when he picks up on posts - a moral mercenary, or as we say up here " would get a jampiece at anybodies door " he sat back and watched me get a pounding on here as well as that hearts knobend dougiedonnelly, off the england boys after scotland where beaten by italy last november and decided to play the 5th amendment.

Couldnt have been long after that he changed his sig from a scotland one to the bill struth quote - wonder where he got that idea

If it's Big Gaz you're talking about, he's not a mod

Anyways, on the police thing. As individuals I know policemen who I have no problem with, and I understand that there's circumstances where they do a good job in difficult circumstances. But in public order situations they're a disgrace. They're the enforcement arm of a corrupt government and carry out their orders unthinkingly and in many cases with missionary zeal. They like nothing more than to get stuck in with the baton whenever the reins are taken off and they get half a chance, it's been shown time and again over the last 30 years.

And all this stuff about how the country is fcuked because of people like me laughing at a policeman getting beat up. Get a fcuking grip, my kid is being brought up just fine. Firstly I wasn't laughing, secondly the country is actually fcuked because the government don't seem to be able to distinguish between criminals and people just trying to get on with their lives and the police willingly aid them.

Lastly, AJ mentioned the Iraq thing and the soldiers beating up the Iraqi lad. That's completely different, some of them lads are barely out of school. They're taught to kill, given a gun and packed off to some desert hell hole where they spend half their lives having well armed locals take pot shots at them with proper weapons. Then they're told they've got to practice restraint.

As George Orwell said:
Quote:
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
The rough men he was talking about aren't the police.

I didn't think you could answer me sensibly Nastro.

You used to be a decent member of PL, now you're a waste of space - why are you even still here?

How can you crawl up anyone elses, when you are firmly up your own anyway?

It's amazing how few agree with you, if you don't like the place, then leave.

Jeeeez - this guy sounds like Rambo

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/7406351.stm

Quote:

He said he saw a man running towards Pc Regan "aiming a kick" and jumped into action.
Mr Bardsley, who served in the 26 Engineer Regiment at Bulworth Garrison, said he had served in a number of war zones but had witnessed nothing like the scenes in Manchester.
"I would describe it as wolves who had not been fed for days. I did not think of any danger to me just the safety of others and making sure everyone was getting out okay," he said. "I knew that if no-one was going to get him (the officer) he wasn't going to make it. I thought 'sod it' I did not care that bottles and bricks were being thrown at me. The adrenaline just kicked in."
Quote:
But Mr Bardsley did not end his heroics there - a short time later he helped a water rescue team pull a Rangers fan from a canal.
Quote:
And later, he pulled an unconscious man from the mass of rubbish left across the city, threw him over his shoulder and sprinted 150m to a nearby ambulance.
Quote:
Finally, he chased away two men in Rangers shirts who were looting a police van.

Seen a few vids of the incidents, rangers fans total disgrace imo.

And what's this all about that no parade through manchester when man utd get back because of the rangers fans?? Even liverpool fans managed to get a decent parade off when they won the cup

I thought you were taking the piss and had actually made those last 2 quotes up and just put quotation marks around them.

Quote:

Sounds like something out of Die Hard.

Alright chaps, been away all weekend, quiet amused by some of th posts I'v missed.

What was MJB_2008 or somethins name as a previous member.?

Few tempers heating up in this thread again I see, see most of the hype/criticisms of the Rangers fans have calmed down tho, to be fair read an article yesterday or today cant really remeber, albeit from a scummy newspaper such as the sun, which suggest there were a 'high' number of banned English football hooligans whom bought Gers tops for 25 bucks to disguise themselves as scotsmen all to have a barny with the Manchester coppers..? Maddness if ye ask me

p.s. good result for Celtic at the weekend , win on Thursday and the league should stay in Paradise
